As a newbie in the co-​op process, Thomas Lai has been patient, thorough, helpful and extremely informative. He is interested solely in what is in your best interest, has vast knowledge of the real estate law and gives clear explanations without all the jargon. He is also very responsive, he returns your calls and emails quickly. As far as rates go, I found him to be very reasonable and I did a lot of shopping before I found him.
I would highly recommend Thomas Lai to anyone who needs his services.

Two words. COME HERE. Don’t listen to the review by Esther S. Thomas was very professional and went far and beyond to close my house in Long Island in the shortest time possible. Communication was top notch. Calls and emails were returned promptly. Price was cheaper than 4 other law offices in the area. I will refer my friends and families to him in the future.

I would highly recommend Thomas. I recently sold a Forest Hills co-​op, with Thomas as my real estate attorney. He is extremely responsive, professional, and knowledgeable. He was always accessible and kept me up to date with the status. The contract signing and closing went as smoothly as possible. Two words. RUN AWAY. If I could give 0 stars I would. You pay for what you get. Thomas is ‘affordable’ — but in some cases affordable isn’t always good. Thomas at first conversation seems professional and competent. However, His true colors appear shortly after. He did the bare minimum of what you need in a contract. Had to direct everything that I needed in order for it to get done. Additionally, when you share your concerns, he rudely dismisses them. Save yourself the headache and use someone else. Run away, literally.

Since Unilocal reviews helped me make my decision, I felt like I needed to add to contribute. Thomas was a pleasure to work with these past two months. He was very easy to work with and very patient if you are new to a process and will take the time to explain without making you feel silly for not knowing. I went to Thomas Lai for a quit claim deed. The whole process was fast and painless. Be warned that his office is not fancy, its very basic cubicle office but his work is excellent. He does not have any assistants or secretary (at his office at least), if you call the office and someone picks up that’s Thomas Lai. I liked being able to call and talk to him directly and he also answers emails pretty fast. I will definitely come back to him for any future needs.
