A monday night. There was a guy with a liter of coke and one drink. attempting to dilute one glass with the whole bottle it seems. it was slow and silent. no one my age. old. but I see that on Friday nights there’s a crowd. And they seem to have fun.

It’s a dive bar but very friendly staff. Just be cool. If you can be comfortable in your own skin, you can chill here

Love the look of this place. Food should be back shortly. I heard they’re doing .25 wings, dart night and pool tourneys. Owner said the riff raffs are gone. Can’t wait for new menu and ladies night!

My boyfriend and I came here to watch a football game and eat dinner. It was a fine experience. The food is good bar food, nothing great. Our waitress was friendly and provided good service. The place is a bit depressing though and the crowd was a bit raucous. And I get it, you’re gonna say, well you went during a football game? Correct, but they weren’t even loud about the football game. They were shouting and yelling about their private lives, who they’re dating, who they went to school with, etc.

3.5! Stumbled in in the middle of a snowstorm and took a table in the corner. Only a few other small groups of people drinking. The bartender was lovely… welcoming, attentive, friendly, and she even started taking requests from her iPod later in the evening. We had a great time drinking, listening to music, and getting snowed in with a bunch of strangers. Our bill was suspiciously low :)

Great neighborhood spot to watch a game and grab a drink. Ate here once and the food was good, chicken wings juicy and my friend had the steak that was cooked perfectly and seasoned well.

My best friend told me it’s changed a lot since they renovated the place over a year ago. I came here with 2 friends a few months ago on a Sunday night just to grab a quick brew-n-bite. The bartender was super-friendly, she even let us invent our own shot, the Peaches-and-Cream(Absolut Peaches with that new whipped cream vodka) and it came out great. From what I remember she normally works Sundays and Thursdays I think. Since the bartender put a good taste in our mouths(literally), we stuck around for a few hours at first striking up conversations with our fellow patrons at the bar(super-hot EMS guy, it turned out he knew a lot of my girl’s co-workers since she’s EMS as well) then playing pool in the back and one of the kitchen guys even came out to play teams with us when it was slow *CINCUENTA Y SIEEEEETTEEEEE!!!*. Jukebox had decent selection, my girls kinda overdosed on the reggaeton but whatever. It was an impromptu girls’ night out around the way. P.J. Clarke’s this ain’t but if you’re by Flushing Hospital and you want to grab a beer at a bar with a real«neighborhood» feel then John John’s is definitely for you.

I have to agree with Cindy. Went there with a couple of friends to check it out and had a great time. Great atmosphere, crowd and staff.. Staff was very nice, friendly and attentive. Wings & Burgers in my opinion are best around town and the bucket beer specials are great on sunday and monday for football. Will def be going back with even more friends this time. Love watching Football there

My friends and I were looking for a place to sit down, have a drink and hang out when one of them suggested checking out John John’s. It used to be an Irish Bar called Shamrock(or something. I’m not really sure). Since it was a Wednesday night, and the chances of it being busy were very slim, we moseyed on inside and found a large spacious bar. I was fairly surprised at the size of this place. From the outside, it looks like a small bar, but first impressions aren’t always correct and that is definitely true of this place. There’s a whole back area where there is a pool table as well as comfy looking couches. There are flats screens along the bar area, as well as a few toward the back for patrons to enjoy the game. There were a few people already there and from the looks of it, they were all regulars. We ordered our drinks and settled in to watch the Yankees game that was on. The bartender(who I’m guessing is also the owner? He seemed like he was running the place) was extremely friendly and checked on us quite frequently to make sure we had everything we wanted. Nice place to come for a drink, hang out with friends or watch the game. They have a lot of specials(for instance, Free house shots for every Mets or Yankees homerun), so be sure to check that out. They also have a kitchen(hence the grill portion of the«bar and grill»), but we didn’t order any food so I can’t really give a full review of this place. However, I do want to come back here and try the burgers and wings. Until then…
