Golden Bell Wine and Liquor

Very nasty people in this store. Over priced and yells at you if you park in front of their store and don’t go in. He has photo shop photos of him self with all political figures. Just look at them and you can tell they are fake.

Really a very good selection of wines but found both staff members unhelpful and rude. They were rude after we bought 2 expensive bottles of wine as well.
I wouldn’t go back unless I was looking for a rare wine.

Located in the space that I used to know as «Deli Biz: when in high school, this wine merchant has a great selection of wines. Lee, the owner is very helpful, and will recommend the best wines within your desired price range. They even have 2 reserved parking spaces solely for the use of the wine store customers. I certainly will be back for continued business.

I really like this place and they have an excellent selection. I wandered in here randomly one day to have a look. The guy working there was very friendly and immediately offered me a sample for that night’s tasting. I told him what I was looking for and he made a recommendation. Well, that wine has since become my new favorite! It was excellent! I returned last week to purchase some more of my new favorite and to try something new. I chose a bottle, but the guy insisted I go with a different one because it is much better (and a couple dollars cheaper)! Two for two at this place because his latest recommendation was excellent as well! Lots of good things here: they are helpful but not pushy, the shop itself is quite nice, well-​organized, and they know their inventory. I worked at a wine bar for a while a few years ago and had the pleasure of trying some really great wines, most of which I have not seen since working there. I was surprised and pleased to see so many of them at Mario’s Vinotheque! Great place!

The interior looks quite nice, nothing like those other fluorescent-​lit, warehousey liquor stores. (For that matter, this place doesn’t even look like it belongs in this trashy strip mall thing.) One of the staff was very friendly, and helpful and knowledgeable about the ports. All the shelves are well-​labeled and the space is clean — no dusty bottles, labels facing outward! From a quick skim of the shelves, it looks like they have a decent selection of less-​than-​$ 10 wines. Otherwise, average prices. A very convenient place to have in the area!

Pretty good selection of stuff. Everything seems like its priced a little high though. Staff has always been friendly.
They get an extra star for being a mere few blocks from my house and for having a parking lot. Convenience for the win.

Marios used to be located on francis lewis blvd and then moved to this little shopping center. Unfortunately they sold the buisness to people who do not know about wine. They do have a great selection — but do not know their wine.
A plus is that they do tastings every friday night — and big tastings 2x a year.

If you’re looking for a good bottle of wine or are in need of some alcohol, this is the place to come. It’s not a huge store, but it’s decent sized for a neighborhood of local groceries, bakeries and the works. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about the wines they have.
I was quite fortunate to stumble upon this place because the other wine and liquor store down the block had closed down, and I had no idea where I could buy a nice bottle of moderately priced champagne for Christmas dinner. Lucky for me, I passed Mario’s Vinotheque on my way home from the supermarket and I went in to check it. It was packed inside (people were in a mad rush for alcohol because of the holiday season. Understandable). It was chaotic inside; there was a long line and there were people all over the place looking for wine. And though the workers could have ignored me (since I was definitely the youngest person in that store) and left me confused and overwhelmed, they didn’t. Someone came over to me, maybe within 5 minutes of me entering the store, and helped me find a good bottle of champagne to bring home.
I was impressed. And very happy with my purchase. Needless to say, I’ve stopped by here several times since my original visit back in December. This is my go-​to place if I’m ever in need of some liquor (does that make me sound like an alcoholic? Because I swear, I’m not!).

Great place for Wine enthusiasts looking to try new things. Staff is extremely courteous and knowledgeable and claims to have tried every one of the hundreds of bottles available for purchase. Friday nights they do do small wine tastings of a few bottles, with two large tastings a year.
Pricing is fair and reasonable. Overall i have a great experience every time I visit this establishment.
