My fiancé and I came here for a light dinner before our flight to Toronto for the holidays. We ordered the portobello mushroom pizza and it was one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had! They were doing this airport special where u can get 20% off if you present your plane ticket. We presented the voucher for the deal and they didn’t even check our plane ticket. Great service and will definitely return in our future flights!

Decent place to get a quick drink before you head over to your flight. We were able to get seating at the bar area so it helped to kill time.

One star, for edible — barely. Had breakfast at their takeout in LGA/AA. Cold eggs, way too salty and cold bacon. Todd’s brand is now crap.

Staff was slow and mean. They would not even allow me to charge my cell phone in an open outlet after spending $ 50 at their terible restuarant. Does everything about LaGuardia and NY Port Authority have to be sooo teribble. They must have to work reallly hard to be this bad.

What is it with airports anyway? They are like the Bermuda Triangle for ovens and other cooking appliances. No wait, that’s not quite right, they are like… oven repellent. Really, it seems that every time you eat at an airport restaurant there’s always a qualifier, «That was good… for an airport restaurant». Airports are huge places. One would imagine that it would be possible to hook up an oven or stove somehow. Don’t get me wrong, there are places that have broken the oven force field and actually serve real, cooked food(or were those sushi places? Hmmm) and those are the places that give me the glimmer of hope that a place like Todd English’s Figs will be any good. When I walked in and was seated, I was full of hope that this would be a delightful break from my unfortunate 4 hour delay. I even thought I might enjoy a glass of wine with my meal… until I realized that I could buy an entire bottle of what they were offering for what they were charging for a glass. Yep, diet coke it was. The garganelli with white beans, bacon and broccoli rabe grabbed my attention so I went with that and anxiously anticipated my delicious meal. Seconds later my salad arrived. It was simple, lettuce drowned in vinaigrette. Next! My garganelli arrived with that film on top. You know the kind, like when you warm up leftovers in the microwave. OK, TV dinner at Todd English’s place. Oh boy! The dish itself was tasty enough, except for the chicken, which was so dry and tough I almost couldn’t cut through it. I know this is an airport place, but come on! Where have our standards gone? Maybe my expectations are too high? No! I refuse to settle anymore! And to think I almost gave this place 3 stars based on the relativity factor. We all deserve better.

I had a 3 hour(UGH) layover in LaGuardia, so I asked a security guard where the best food was in the airport. She told me Figs, so I went and tried it. And she was right. Prices are very good, considering that it is an airport and you are going to get gouged. My server was knowledgeable and knew how to pour my draft beer. The list of paninis is long, and my barbecue turkey was very good.
