I’ve been to a couple of Korean fried chicken places, and I’ve come to the conclusion that Koreans really know how to do fried chicken. Debasaki is one of those places that never fail to consistently serve perfectly tender, crisp, and meaty wings! Every time me and my friends come here, we always get Half-and-Half for a more diverse eating experience. I’ve tried the Stuffed Wings, Soy Garlic, Sweet n’ Spicy, and the notable Fire Candy Wings. There’s also ethnic Korean food on the menu, so definitely try those as well if you’re not in the mood for wings(it’s just as good!). Stuffed wings were amazing. They come in different varieties such as corn, kimchi, seafood, and cheese. Really awesome to eat while watching the Super Bowl! Soy Garlic are the signature house wings; tastes like soy and garlic. Good for those who cannot tolerate spicy foods. Ever tried Sesame Chicken? Sweet n’ Spicy has similar sweetness as Sesame Chicken but with dabs of spiciness. Fire Candy wings were crazy. If you’ve taken the Ramen Noodles Challenge, these Fire Candy wings take it to a whole other level! Everything will taste spicy to you and you’ll be eating anything you can to ease the burn. I tried it so I know, because I dived for a shot of soju and ginger ale within the next five seconds!!! Goodness gracious! Service is really efficient and speedy. There’s this bell by the seats that you can press if you need anything. I also came here when it was my birthday and the staff changed the playlist to Birthday-related songs(thank you)! On another visit, the waiter accidentally spilled the bottle of soju and instantly replaced it with no questions asked. Tasty & savory food, excellent service, and fun ambiance. Although DBSK is located in a remote area that does not have much traffic, but that still doesn’t discourage me from going there. Forget Buffalo Wild Wings. My new and favorite spot for wings is DBSK!

I love Korean fried chicken. What I hate are the bones. My BF always makes fun of me whenever I order boneless wings because they aren’t «wings». They’re just chicken nuggets. Debasaki is stuffed fried chicken. No bones, but instead of just chicken meat, they stuff it with different things– gyoza, kimchi, etcetc. My favorite has to be kimchi. I can eat a good amount of this in one sitting. They’re so addicting. Cons– located in a shady part of flushing. Pros– worth being in a shady part. Amazing food!

I love this place! I definitely would be coming back here. As for my review, more detailed sections for more specified reviews. Atmosphere and Service: When I first entered, I thought it was just any regular pub. It was a little loud but I didn’t bother me. They have huge booths that are great for crowds. There were only 2 of us when we went and it was fairly empty. It is quite dark but they have sufficient lighting in the booths and eating areas. As for the service, they had a button that called for the server and I thought that was very clever. Our server was great, very attentive but not too attentive. Food: they has such a large selection of beers and some liquors. It’s a great after work place. I am not much of a connoisseur of beer, but I did appreciate the large selection. One thing that I loved was the food! They are known for their chicken wings so definitely do not skip it. The portions are pretty huge as well! It’s a good portion for sharing. Definitely try out the stuffed wings. They are unique and not something that you see regularly. Overall, this place is great! It is a little far but regardless it’s worth it.

For some ODD reason, I can’t EVER remember what flavor wings I order so that I can differentiate which ones I like the most. However, let me take a wild guess and say that my fave are the sweet soy garlic wings. As a matter of fact, I’m pretty sure those are the ones I love. The other flavors are ehhh. As for the gyoza stuff wings, I’m not really a fan. I’d just rather regular flavor wings. The drinks are pretty good too. And here is the first place I’ve ever tried Kimchi rice and I LOVEDIT! If you’re not into spicy foods, this place is really not for you though. As for the atmosphere, it’s pretty chill and I like the décor.

I finally got to try Debasaki over the weekend.(I know, how can I have not tried it by now?) Away from the bustle of Main Street, Debasaki is a lounge-like Korean restaurant known for its specialty: stuffed chicken wings, a different take on the usual Korean fried chicken. Up until this point, I had never heard of such a thing, so of course I was very curious. Here’s what went down: — Yogurt cocktail soju: my go-to at Korean restaurants and perfectly blended. — Budae Jigae: a huge delicious soup casserole of noodles, kimchi, tofu, sausage, and spam; a staple among Korean cuisine. It was a little salty for my taste, but then again I ate it without rice. — Stuffed chicken wings: these wings can be stuffed in five different ways — kimchi, shrimp, veggie, hot peppers, and cream corn. We ordered every stuffing except for the veggie, and the best one in my opinion was the cream corn. I was looking forward to the kimchi version, but sadly I could barely taste the kimchi. The shrimp was good too. I didn’t get to try the hot peppers. …which brings me to my one complaint: There’s no labeling of which wing has what inside, so it’s all one big guessing game, which resulted in my getting three shrimp wings and one cream corn wing in my first round, and then on the second round I finally got the kimchi wing. The reverse happened to my friends: none of them got to try the shrimp in the first round because I accidentally bit into all three on the large 14-wing platter. This could also be dangerous game of Russian roulette if someone in the party is allergic to shrimp, so hopefully they can develop a better identification system for multi-flavored orders. Otherwise, if I am craving any stuffed wings(or Korean fried chicken in general), this will be one of my go-to places from now on.

Really cool spot in a semi secluded location in Flushing. Now I’m pretty sure you’re reading this because you’re craving wings… well this place is a thumbs up in my book. This place has really meaty and flavorful wings. Now it’s not the best I ever had but it is on top of the list. The portions, price, and service was excellent. I really liked the seating in here, they do have some private booths with a lot of space and it’s a great place to take a group of friends with. They do have a variety of unique dishes on the menu which is very cool. Now for the drop in the star, it would be more to for taste. It was great but not the best, but don’t let that stop you from trying this place out, I DORECOMMEND!

Still one of my favorite places in flushing! I recommend their gyoza wings as usual(most people like shrimp/corn/kimchi). Their seafood oden soup is also quite good(a bit spicy), portion’s good for 5 – 6 people to share. Budae jigae is another option, just make sure you ask for less spicy since they make it more spicy than a lot of other restaurants I’ve been to. Curly fries are also great to share, I usually like to add cheese on the top. Yogurt soju is a good option for a table of girls to share. Totally recommend this place if you’re in the area.

I LOVEFRIEDCHICKEN. I don’t care if they’re southern or Korean, as long as they are battered fried and then sometimes double fried. They’ve always been a go-to comfort food for me. Stuffed fried chicken is a new for me though. I really expected them to come out like chicken nuggets with stuffing in it, but no, these babies were deboned and then stuffed with all sorts of yummy goodness. Your choices of stuffing are kimchi(a must), jalapeño, corn, and shrimp. The kimchi and corn was my favorite. They had the perfect amount of crunch and seasoning. I came here on a Friday night with a friend at 9PM, they were surprisingly empty and we did not have a problem getting a table. Great selection of beers! I had the 90 minute dogfish IPA, it went perfectly with my meal. The restaurant is located in Flushing though, so if you live in manhattan like me, grab on tightly to your friends with cars or you’re looking at a good 50 minute subway ride and then some walking!

Finally got to try this place. The stuffed fried chicken was good. There was gyoza, corn, kimchi, pepper, and shrimp flavor. My favorite one was probably the kimchi one and gyoza. Also, we ordered the kimchi fried rice which had a fried egg on top. It was pretty spicy… spicier than any other place, but it was good. We ordered curly fries with mozzarella and that really nothing special in my opinion. The arugala salad that came with the wings was good too especially that dressing. Nonetheless, I really liked the pretzel. Just something about the pretzel. It just had a nice taste. I would definitely come back to this place. The food was great and it’s not too pricey.

Stuffed chicken wings are to die for! Debaski is known for their signature wings that are butterflied, stuffed with corn, kimchi, shrimp, hot peppers or veggies, then battered shut and deep fried. Though it might sound like a hot mess, it’s quite convenient to eat since they take the bones out. The batter is seasoned with a sweet sauce, and the meat inside is juicy. One more unique aspect is the seating, individual cubicles for privacy and ease of chatting with friends. Don’t forget to use the service button on the side, they show up within seconds to cater to your needs! Definitely my favorite korean chicken spot, bonchon, kyochon and mad for chicken got nothing on debasaki!

Tucked in the middle of no where you will find some awesome stuffed wings @ Debasaki. These wings are boneless and require minimal effort to devour. You can order a combination of flavors: corn, shrimp, kimchi, jalapeño, and vegetable. Corn is my favorite of the bunch! Beware the jalapeño is no joke for those that can’t handle the heat. There is a great beer selection to pair with your wings. The size of the their soy garlic wings are tiny compared to other Korean wing places. And way to sweet for my liking. Stick to the stuffed wings! This is what sets this restaurant apart from others. Service is on point, very attentive and if you need anything you can just snap your fingers… Jk there is a bell on your table that will bring a server to attend to your needs.

The Japanese and Korean style wings are amazing! Been here at least 5 times and each time I am thrilled to have made the decision to have come here again & again. The stuffed wings are a different approach to the typical Korean fried wings which I admire. I also enjoy the appetizers they offer here such as the fries and other entrees like the Korean soup/stew selection or rice dishes. My personal favorites are the corn and kimchi stuffed chicken! And of course like every other chicken spot it’s almost a must to order drinks to pair with the crispy goodness. Drink prices are pretty much like the other Korean chicken spots in the area which is basically $ 15 – 20 for larger pitchers, sojus, & etc. One perk about coming here is how most of the seating arrangement is broken into smaller sections of «rooms». 80% of the tables/booths have higher walls around the seating so every group can have their own privacy which is nice to have sometimes. They also have a service button in case of dire emergency or if it seems as if staff is ignorant of a table or two. Will be back to satisfy my stuffed chicken cravings!

The stuffed fried wings are a unique flavor that you don’t see too often. On that note, though there isn’t much meat due to the stuffing the wings, they are still pretty unique and something to try. The service here is really good. There is a doorbell in each seating section to call for service. Despite that, even without ringing the bell, the waiter refilled my water on numerous occasions without saying anything. To start with, the restaurant supplies butter snaps as complimentary before even ordering. Food came at a fast pace. And was delicious.

I just came to order to go and I just want to compliment the waiter that took my order. He was very friendly and detailed making sure he got my order right. The name on my receipt said the servers name is Will. One main thing that stood out is that he also smiled a lot too, making it seem like he really liked his job. Restaurants need more happy waiters like this one. =) The food as always was delicious. We got curry donkatsu and seafood dukkbokki and even to go, the food was great. My normal dishes are the stuffed gyoza(cheese & corn is the best!) and seafood dukkbokki both of which is always delicious and perfectly made! Boyfriend likes their curry donkatsu and friends who drink like the lychee soju slushies.

The other reviewers described the ambience of Debasaki as a club, and I would have to agree. Hidden past Flushing’s busy center between warehouses and wholesale stores is a nondescript place that transports you to a different type of nightlife dining. Korean fried chicken is easy to find in NYC, especially Queens, but their winning dish is the stuffed fried chicken. The portions are bite-sized and perfect for accompanying some drinks and good company. If you’re looking to get full off these things, be prepared to order more than one plate. Their buddae jjigae is alright — not the best I’ve had, but definitely spicy enough for people who love spicy garbage ramen. Frozen yogurt soju is a YESSSSS for those hot summer nights. It’s reminiscent of those tiny yogurt drinks I’ve had when I was a child with the kick of alcohol. Adult nostalgia. Service is nice. The waitresses are friendly and they have a convenient call button on your table for when you need service.

This place is the Grail of Fried Chicken. Skin. Crispy. Meat. Juicy. And Tastes. Freakin. Amazing. Once you’ve stuffed your face with chicken, wash it down with some refreshing Yogurt Soju! It might be slightly far off from the city but trust me the chicken waiting at the end is worth the journey!

I’ve been here a handful of times and it’s usually a pleasant experience! Although there HAVE been times where cleanliness of the eating space has been an issue(i.e. there was once a spider floating down from the ceiling during a visit which was taken care of, but I’m not a bug person, that really put me off!), I have gone back(surprisingly) multiple times(it’s really popular, and is great for catching up with friends) and that hasn’t been an issue since! That’s my disclaimer! That trauma does lead me to check the space every time I dine there! The popular dishes I order with friends are usually, the gyoza wings(it’s like wing roulette!), debasaki wings, donkatsu with curry, and most recently the kimchi fried rice! Gyoza wings are probably the most well known dish from Debasaki in that there’s wings stuffed with different things such as corn, shrimp, and unfortunately jalapeño, but we don’t know which one is which! Pick up a piece and hope for the best! They used to have watermelon soju, but since have stopped — however, there are a bunch of other flavors of frozen soju such as piña colada, lychee, yogurt etc. be warned though, the alcohol content is not high so it’s more delicious than«let’s get drunk!» However, you can get a small bottle of cham soju for $ 11 to add or take shots with so it’s not too bad! Service is good and the staff are really accommodating! Just make sure you press the service button if you need anything, they don’t tend to check on you without you pressing it! Overall, it’s a nice place to dine and the food quality is good so 3 stars it is! ~chow!

I had never heard of stuffed wings before so I was beyond ecstatic to come try this place. This place is located on an unlikely street in Flushing and there is plenty of street parking. The décor inside is very dark for a restaurant and is more akin to the lighting of a club. We came on a Sunday night right when they opened and within 15 minutes, the entire restaurant was filled. There is a button on the wall to press to call the waiter/waitress when you are ready to order or if you have any questions. I found that when I pressed it at the beginning of my meal, my waitress came right away. However, as the meal progressed and the restaurant got busier, the waitress would ignore my button calls which was understandable. We tried a combo of debasaki wings stuffed with all of the available options and their sweet soy garlic wings. That wasn’t filling enough so then on top of that we ordered of their original fried wings, which just had a dry rub and didn’t have any sauce on them. We felt that the sweet soy garlic was way too sweet but the other wings were delicious! Overall, I appreciate a place like this in Flushing as there are so few bars that I can find and would definitely go back!

Secluded in a small almost industrial street setting area of flushing, debasaki offers up a interesting mix of Korean pub food. Bring a flashlight because the interior is dark, we had to use the diffused light from our phones to read the menu. The signature Stuffed Gyoza wings were very good and literally a surprise in every bite. Some are stuffed with jalapeños, corn and cheese, and shrimp. The debasaki wings were also very tasty. We ordered the crispy and straight cut fires with Mozzarella cheese melted on top. The fries were good and the cheese definitely complements the fries, I only wish they had other cheese options like cheddar or American for the fries. The seafood fried rice was flavorful, but on the greasier side. We had the Half and half combo wings, sweet soy garlic and original, tasty fried up goodness and literally one bite and the chicken was gone, the wings are small. We also ordered the seafood soup with the added udon noodle for $ 3 more, not a big fan of the seafood noodle soup, it had a very corn starchy and thick consistency which I did not like as much and the seafood was bland. The draft Sapporo was good and they don’t serve coca cola, but a brand called«Boylan» cola. The cola wasn’t too bad and did taste a little bit like coca cola and they use cane sugar in this brand. All in all a nice little pub to hang out and chow down on some wings and knock down a couple of cold ones with your friends in the wee hours of the night. I don’t recommend this place for small kids or grandparents since it is very dark, very loud and service can be sluggish, but sluggish with a smile.
