This is off-the-charts amazing Korean food! We love the spicy seafood sujebi and seafood oko pancake. My wife is from Seoul and this is her favorite spot. Utterly authentic flavors. I just wish it was in Manhattan so we didn’t have to travel so far to get here! Enjoy

Nice, cozy place. The seafood pancake was pretty yummy. It was like a crispy pizza. I got their spicy seafood noodle, which I don’t recommend. It wasn’t the original Korean spicy which is supposed to give you that nice, slow burn. It was more of that cheapskate kind that just stings for a bit and then goes away. Like someone just threw a bunch of pepper flakes into the soup and called it a day. It was a shame, because the noodles were on point and they give you lots of seafood. I’d still come back here to try the other noodles sans the spiciness.

An unassuming establishment with some tasty offerings of noodles and pancakes. Dae Sung’s soup noodles have an undeniably authentic flavor. Not only are there a dozen different noodles to choose from, but they come in huuuge bowls that are perfect for sharing. They also make a variety of pancakes, including some that are topped with bonito flakes. I don’t know why I never thought to put two and two together before visiting Dae Sung, but the bonito-topped pancakes are a heavenly mashup between okonomiyaki and korean pajeon. Yum! I’ve been here at least once a month and plan to keep the trend going :) totally recommend this place.

This place is small with only 8 tables, so you have to wait. The food: noodles are all tasty, different varieties. Pancakes are nice and crispy, they way it should be. They come out sizzling on a hot pan. They recently added an ingredient to the pancake(optional). BACON!!! All I can say is Awesome! I could eat one of these a day. What even better is that the food comes out very quick. Definitely a must try and a repeat.

This restaurant is clearly a winner that is supported by regulars in the neighborhood. We felt everyone kind of knew one another, like local restaurants in Asia. I loved this spot! Ordered the Okonomi-Pajeon that was quite delicious and filling. This combines the best of Osaka style okonomiyaki and Korean Pajeon. Yummy. I had the kimchi chigae that was delicious with the best tofu I’ve had in a long time. I had the hand pulled noodles. We also ordered a seafood soup with the little dumpling noodles. That was very good with perfect broth. I’ll be coming back. The parking was easy on the street, which is a bonus.

I have to say this was a grand find in the area. Me and my boyfriend wanted to be adventurous and try some place new and boy did we hit a jackpot with this place. The layout is very simple and cozy so it doesn’t feel too fancy for a simple night out. The staff was super friendly and efficient at bringing out the food and side dishes and drinks. The menu was perfect it was short and to the point and gave good explanations of what to expect for the quality of food. We ordered the okanomi scallion pancake. It was pretty delicious and super flavorful. The kimchi had a nice sweet kick and felt refreshing, same with the cucumbers. The noodle soup was fantastic! Like wow! The noodles were flavorful and wonderful texture. The soup was very delicious and the seafood was a nice addition to the soup flavors. All in all there was nothing what so ever to complain the meal and experience was pretty delightful. The price was good about 25 per person with a pancake side dishes, tea and huge bowls of noodle soup. I am excited to come back a ton of times with the cold season right around the corner.

The food: I was super excited to try the bacon oko pajun and the first few bites were heaven! It was the best pajun I ever ate. But after the first few bites were past, my head started hurting and I had to stop eating. I’ve always been sensitive to MSG and at the end of my meal I felt disappointed… because it tasted soooo good but with that much MSG, I know I can’t eat it again. I also tried the bulgogi sundubu kalguksu and unlike the pajun, it was pretty bland. It was just mediocre sundubu kalguksu with bulgogi thrown in. I’ve had better elsewhere. The service: I liked how attentive they were with getting me water, but the waitress kept talking to me very casually and made me uncomfortable. The prices: If eating alone, it’s a little too pricey. The pajun especially was more expensive than I expected. But! The portion is huge so you can split it with other people. Verdict: Unfortunately while the pajun was good, the MSG was too much. All in all, I don’t know if I’ll be coming back.

Had the kalguksoo, and it was better than most other places I’ve tried. Most of the other soups on the menu are really spicy according to my taste, and they do not offer a non-spicy option. The restaurant is small, located in an obscure neighborhood, and can get crowded during peak hours. Overall a good Korean noodle restaurant.

They have the best hand made noodle around the area, possibly the whole Queens. The downside is the small space in the store, you might have to wait a little during busy time. The soup is good that is is not over flavor, it is just right. The spicy noodle is quite spicy, don’t try it if you can’t handle the heat! The portion is huge, I eat a lot and it is a lot of food, I could just barely finish. It is well worth the price. Their kimchi is alright though, it didn’t taste like the one I eat from other places, this one has a different taste to it, it’s hard to describe.

Had the seafood pancake. Now I see what you all are raving about. We all had a version of bulgogi soup, mine chicken with wide noodles and Husband’s beef with skinny noodles. Lots of kick and tons of flavor. Would definitely go back.

Came here with friends for a very late lunch/early dinner(yeah I’m confused lol). We got here at around 4pm and there was like no one in the restaurant. It’s a pretty small and cozy place so it really exudes a feeling of home; it was almost like we were having a family dinner at someone’s house. The tables were very clean and the service was very cordial and attentive. The food was prepared very quickly too. Banchan– Comes with kimchi that my friend said tasted very homemade. There was also a pickled vegetable that I was not too fond of, tofu slices which I found to be delicious, and bean sprouts that were ok. Seafood pancake– Definitely one of the best Korean seafood pancakes I’ve ever had! It was very crispy and was jam packed with seafood goodness! The dipping sauce that comes with it was delectable! Beef soondubu– Unlike other Korean tofu places, I could actually see visible bulgogi pieces in the soup lol. Honestly, all soondubu tastes the same so what really differentiates them is the meat. The fact that they actually put a considerable amount of bulgogi in the soondubu really says a lot. I ordered mild spiciness and even a weaksauce like me found it to be too mild. It also comes with a big bowl of rice. I also got to try some of my friend’s fish cake sujebi and I thought it was alright. The fish cakes are basically fish balls and some other items of a similar sort. Sujebi is a soup that contains a carb that’s similar to pasta. But since the soup wasn’t flavored, I found the sujebi to be a little too bland. Overall, this is a very nice place for Korean soondubu and noodles. The highlight definitely had to be the seafood pancake though! So good! Prices were decent(we were a group of 5 and we paid $ 18 each). It wasn’t crowded when we got here since we arrived at an off time but I heard it gets really crowded during dinners, especially during the winter. Definitely give this place a try!

I love chicken kalgooksoo and this place doesn’t have it though. I absolutely hate seafood kalgooksoo because I taste the ocean… It’s okay. I forgive them and only them! I love that I don’t taste the ocean in their kalgooksoo and also it tastes so refreshing! The cold winter days/nights, I feel so welcomed here! The restaurant isn’t too big and it can get crowded. If I end up having to wait, I just go shopping at shoe village and just come back. Pair your kalgooksoo with an okinomiyaki(don’t know if I spelled it right) and you and your friends are good to go! Just trust me on this guys!

Get the pancakes here. These pancakes, pajun, are SODELECTABLE. I travel for just their pajuns because everything is just perfect. The batter… delish The seafood… great large sized pieces! delish! The herbs… yessssss! delish! give me more leek and scallion, please! My family enjoys their noodles. I enjoy their spot on hearty soondubu, and we all enjoy their starters spread. The plate of generic kimchi is no where near as delicious as the special kimchi that comes out of their clay pot. Yep, you got it. Two types of delicious kimchi. Sounds like my kind of speed! However, above all, I cannot stress how AMAZING these pancakes are… I am craving them now as we speak! If you can find parking here, GO!

My dad has been going to BCD Tofu House on Northern Blvd forever — and I have been trying desperately to get him to try a more authentic Korean restaurant. Saw the stellar Unilocal reviews and we were there! The homemade noodles are to die for — the perfect chewy, al dente texture. My 1-year old slurped it down. I didn’t try any of the wide noodles, but every bowl of the normal-sized noodles was huge and really delicious. The seafood pancake was out of this world, way better here than anywhere else. The seafood tastes actually fresh and it comes on it’s own cast iron pan, so it is perfectly crisp on the outside and tender on the inside. I came here twice while I was in NY visiting my parents in August, and I’m still craving it! Definitely worth a try.

This place is pretty legit. Super clean and quick. We ordered the soft tofu seafood noodle soup and husband had the cold bibim noodle. Both of them were fresh and delicious. Service was fast and friendly. Overall a good place. Come check it out if you are a fan of Asian noodles.

Portions are huge, the broth was flavorful but simple. The food came out extremely quick but the noodles tasted freshly made and they do not skimp on the ingredients: plenty of baby clams not over cooked, strands of thinly sliced egg omelet, squash and fresh scallions. The bulgogi spicy kalguksoo was delicious but would definitely advise to try the clam kalguksoo first. The Bacon Oko Pajun was crispy, sweet and savory sauce with plenty of Oko and Bacon – when it comes out, the fish flakes are dancing from the heat! Keep in mind, parking is really hard to find and to share since 2 I ordered my own bowl and barely put a dent in it :)

Love eating the pancake here! Crispy and delicious! The noodle here is so tasty and fresh! Yes! It’s fresh! I didn’t feel sticky eating the noodle, very nice and smooth texture! Kimchi here is always my favorite!

My SO was craving Kalguksu so we hit up… Unilocal! and Dae Sung came up as the highest rated spot in Flushing. We got 1 order of Kalguksu, and 1 order of Sujebi. Both dishes were HUGE and made really, really well. Noodles were perfectly cooked, broth was perfectly flavored, ingredients were fresh and tasty. I would give this place 5 stars, but it was honestly a bit on the expensive side – considering the location(this is Flushing NOT Manhattan) and the types of dishes served. I would definitely go back again for the sheer quality of the food. I saw a lot of ppl ordering the Okonomipajun. Next time I’m getting Kalguksu or Bibim Naeng Myun.

Ordered the seafood maeuntang soojaebee and the spicy broth(ulkeun) kalgooksoo– both were great if you were craving spicy with a kick. Wish the noodles were a bit more chewy and fresh but can’t ask for too much with a fair price like this. The service was quick and very amiable. If you are debating between kalgooksoo or soojaebee, I’d say go for the soojaebee! They offer the same broth but in either kalgooksoo or soojaebee.
