Toddler Universe Daycare & Preschool Inc

I once loved this place but now I don’t feel the same. The director Lorrie is never there and you can’t ever get in touch with her. The service is not what it used to be now that all the other ladies are gone. The front lady Joe is helpful but not very friendly. Nobody seems to care about the kids or parents, only making sure payments are made. It’s a business transaction, not warm friendly feeling for my kids to be. I’m upset to pull my kids out of as place they have enjoyed but they just aren’t happy anymore and neither am I. The owners need to be aware and have more presence there.

This place is ok. The price is the best we found so we went with it. I had an uneasy feeling about this place before I signed my child up but it was close to my husband’s job so we went with it. I should have followed my gut! One day my husband noticed a mark under my son’s eye. They did not fill out an injury report so we asked what happened? Nobody knew what happened to his eye. When my husband picked him up there was a sub in the class she looked like she was maybe 16. She didnt know what happened, the director didnt know what happened. Since they have cameras we asked if they can look at them or if we can see them. The answer was no. The director was VERY nasty about it. She was not at the daycare when my husband picked our son up. We talked to her on the phone. She told us how her kids use to come home with marks all the time and she never asked questions. Now I believe that was a lie but that had nothing to do with my child. He is our only one and if we see andything out of the ordinary we are going to ask questions. Which is what any parent would do. Long story short our son never returned to that daycare!

My children attended the aftercare program. They really didn’t like it. They complained about children hitting and being mean. The facilities are old and although seems to be clean, just looks ratty. The management is very inconsistent and they charge aftercare for school vacations. Be wary as they are not up front but just give you about 50 pages forms to sign and then hold it over your head. A lack of professionalism and very poor classroom management earns them only two stars.

My daughter attended the Pre K program here. I fell in love with her teachers Mrs. Lori and Mrs. Heather. I sat in on a few classes and was impressed by the way discipline was handled and interaction with the kids. The teachers were encouraging to all students and generally cared about each child. The only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars is several times my daughter came home with marks on her made by other students, the teachers obviously didn’t see it happen but were very apologetic when I brought it to their attention.

My son went there for less than a day. The director was great, but there was a sub in his classroom on the first day and she was TERRIBLE to the kids. I stood outside and looked in the classroom for a few minutes. While standing there I saw her and heard her be extremely nasty to all the kids. She yanked a crayon out of a one year old girls hand so hard, the little girl fell out of her chair. I went in and picked my son up, we left, both in tears. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone.
