I have been going to La Parilla for years! I love the food, the atmosphere and the employees! The only reason I can’t give it 5 stars is the price. It has gone up quite a lot in recent years and is more expensive than some of its local competitors. If you can afford it, it’s worth the visit!

Gotta SAY! SHRIMP soup was bland, had to send it back! However… The steak taco loko medium rare was ABSOfnLUTELY DELISH! Definitely the best grilled steak for miles around on a mexican dish. Marinade is delicious, and cooks were on spot for medium rare!!(rare at mexican restaurants, they tend to overcook all red meat, BUTNOTHERE)! TRYTHEPARRILLAHOUSEDIP, ABSOLUTELYDELICIOSSSO !! Shrimp n Steak since I DON’T do yard bird! Olivia was my waitress, a doll and on her game! Plenty of salsa n chips, with FREEREFILLS! Spot on, worth the DRIVE N WAIT, if applicable.

Horrible. If you want cat food served on soggy iceberg lettuce with some sour cream on top, this is the place to go. I sent it back and told them I didn’t want anything else but they insisted on sending me back a replacement which was identical to the first one that I sent back and charged me for it. Horrible.

Favorite Mexican restaurant in North Georgia. I have yet to have anything I wouldn’t gladly order again, usually visit for a beer and some take out, they always nail the order, and the bartenders are always friendly and attentive. Will recommend to everyone!

Hubby had crazy taco with shredded chicken. Chicken was hot. Shell was crispy. Tomatoes fresh. He loved the Mexican version of the mudslide, Patronccino. I had Speedy Gonzalez and a mojito. Speedy good, mojito was too sweet. Nice atmosphere and friendly service. Recommend… their health score was 100% !

I went to this restaurant for the first time last night with co-workers as a New Year’s dinner and everything was great! I got the Chimichanga and it was HUGE, not to mention it was also delicious. However, at any other Mexican restaurant I get served refried beans or SOME sort of side. The only thing I got was a «taco salad» as a side… which is just a salad consisting of lettuce, tomato, sour cream, and guac… and I use that to put on my Chimichanga, not as a separate dish. It is also a very loud place with the tvs and also it seemed like the music was turned up a bit too high(I sound like a grandma, ugh). Other than that, everything else was great… the place is decorated really nice and everything is very clean. My boyfriend and I were fed for $ 24(including tip) and we were both very full! Very cheap for a very good meal! I would visit again!

So… this is a popular after work spot. Loud lively, chips and salsa galore and guess what– they make an amazing margarita. I tried a herradura fresca that was sooo yummy! They also have several types of agua fresca that I would like to check out. All in all– this is a pretty tasty Americanized Mexican place with great service, decent salsa and pretty good food. It’s better than any other Mexican that I’ve had in these parts, with the exception of some serious hole in the wall joints that I adore. They have a vast menu, but I rarely venture away from my standard order of guacamole– which is yummy and customizable– it’s all blended table side and an order of tacos tradicionales. I get the steak, medium rare, on corn and I’m never disappointed. Well, I must admit, the tortillas are not the best, but after eating twice my body weight in chips and salsa, I’m not saddened to just eat the fillings from my tacos, or to shed one of the rubbery corn tortillas. Call me wild and wacky, but I love the rice here. Maybe because it’s super seasoned. The refried beans… not so much. They are thin and watery and basically lack flavor. My standard practice– eat only the first forkful and skim the layer of cheese off the top. It’s quick, friendly and tasty. When friends want La Parilla I’m not sad, and that’s a good thing.

A cute little Americanized place for Mexican food. The service was pretty good and attentive. I had the patronccino. It was one of two drinks that had Bailey’s in it since I wanted something sweet. It also contains Patron & Frangelico as well. Whatever the latter is, this drink was good. :) This also had ice cream mixed in so it was thick, creamy, and delicious. Even my friend said it had a kick of alcohol to it. My friend’s long island was pretty tasty, though I didn’t taste that much alcohol. But then again, this is a restaurant and not a bar. lol. The flautas I had was pretty good. You can either choose the brisket or chicken as the meat. It came with a mini side salad of sour cream and guacamole to the side. The rice and refried beans were okay. Nothing too special about these two sides to mention. The flautas was pretty crispy and hot as it was fried to a crispiness. Pretty unhealthy but good at the same time. Parking was plentiful since this place was in a large complex.

Excellent! We were seated quickly maybe 2 min wait on a Saturday night at 7 even though the place was packed. We had a very friendly and fast waitress. Food came out in the tone it did and was very tasty. We ordered the super enchiladas and the shrimp soup yum yum yum. Nice atmosphere but can be a little on the loud side if your okay with that then for sure give this place a try

We were seated quickly at lunch. The service was very good. Our waiter, guierellmo(sp) was spot on. Bottomless sweet ice tea. Food was tasty. Reason for my 3 stars, I’m from SoCal just north of San Diego where flavorful, authentic and different dishes from regions in Mexico are boundless. Don’t get me wrong, this place has got it goin on and I’ll probably be back when I come in for next years race!

Tonight was the third and final straw. The service was terrible the food was wrong and cold we were the fifth couple to get up and walk out of the place with everybody standing around acting like they really didn’t care not sure if it’s under new management but they better get a grip

The first two times we went here it was fine. The last three times service was slow and food came out cold-. Tonight I found a bug in my water and the manager Ernesto(not thankful I told him) did nothing to apologize and acted as if WE were the issue. Unreal. Disappointing!

Sunday 5pm and we wanted good Mexican food. Friend recommended La Parilla & Unilocal agreed. We were a party of 8 and were seated promptly. Lidia was our waitress. She was GREAT! She is only there on the weekends. We ordered queso fundido and the Parilla dip— AMAZING! Everyone ordered something diff for their entrée. My favorite was what I chose. Fish Tacos. But their special fish tacos that were breaded and have an amazing sauce. Everything was so fresh. We had flan and sopapillas with icecream for dessert and you guessed it… It was perfect. The general manager visited us twice and Lidia made sure we had everything we needed. Will def be back.

This is some solid chain Mexican food. Cheap, covered in cheese, and served with a side of free chips and salsa with an overly aggressive Mariachi band on the weekends. Even on busy nights, I’ve never had to wait for a table, as the seating area is plentiful and the servers mean business — quickly ferrying food and drink refills to your table. This is also a great spot for groups, as they have no issues separating checks and handling multiple forms of payment. I like their salads, which are full of good ingredients beyond your typical taco salad in a shell, but my favorite item on the menu is the grilled fish taco. A la carte, they’re under $ 3 a piece, and two are more than enough to fill me up. They’re served on fajita size tortillas, and each one contains not only a generous serving of grilled tilapia, but nearly half of a sliced avocado and tons of cilantro and chopped onion. Ask for some jalapenos if you like them spicy, or add the free salsa that comes with your free chips. All in all, a solid outpost of this metro-Atlanta favorite.
