Just had dinner at Cabos on Spout Springs close to Friendship Rd. I’ve never left a review before but wanted to this time because the waiter was so nice! I didn’t feel out of place eating by myself and he spent some time making sure I ordered something I’d enjoy and throughout the meal made sure I had everything I needed. Keep up the good work Cabos and waiter Jose :)

Excellent food but sometimes slow service. The food always comes out delicious, but it’s often slow enough that you’re full on chips and salsa or cheese dip. If you like leftovers like I do, it’s the perfect place to go. Great food, great prices, good but not great service.

So as you can tell by my check ins we go there a lot. If we checked in the number of times we have gone to either Cabos one on Ridge Rd or Cabos Two on Sprout Springs it is well over 500 times. Not only do we love the food but we have gotten to know the family that owns it. They are great people and take a lot of pride in their restaurants. There are members of the staff that have been there a long time and the management walks the floor a lot making sure all is going well. If you have not been there try it out. Friday’s after 6:00 does get busy.

My wife and I had dinner at Cabo’s on on Spout Spring Road last night and we loved it. We’re new to the area and have been eating at different Mexican restaurants trying to find a good one. We’ve been mostly disappointed with Mexican restaurants in this south Hall county area, but we finally hit the jackpot at Cabo’s. This is hands down the best Mexican restaurant we’ve tried. Cabo’s is a very colorful, clean, and well laid out restaurant, with plenty of room so you don’t feel so jammed in. It’s also nicely decorated with big bright pictures and paintings. The staff was very friendly and courteous. We’ve visited some in the area where the staff was downright surly. Our waiter, Hector, did a great job. He brought us drink refills, napkins, extra chips without us having to ask for them. Very attentive! Now for the really important part — the food. It wasn’t the typical Tex-Mex we’ve come to expect. There were no Speedy’s, #4’s, etc. They actually had some Mexican dishes I’ve had while traveling on business in Mexico(not tourist food). Plus, the food was delicious. It was prepared well and presented very nicely. Another important part — the Margarita was delicious — and it actually had Tequila in it! Some places serve you a LOT of Margarita mix with as little Tequila as possible. This one was excellent. I understand there is another Cabo’s in Buford, so we’ll try that one too, but we’ve finally found a great Mexican restaurant! We’ll definitely be back for more good food and uno mas Margarita por favor.

Great evening with my friend! Ambience was nice, people were in good spirits, food was hot, and waiter was very patient with us as we ordered drinks and caught up before ordering dinner.

This is my favorite Mexican restaurant ever. We have been going to Cabo’s for about 10 years now(not just the Flowery Branch location) and we are not stopping. The service is great. We go there EVERYSINGLE Friday night and we will keep doing so. We know a lot of the waiters/waitresses there, the managers(both FB and Buford location and Monterrey’s, another restaurant chain owned by the same owner), and the owner very very well. We even know a lot of the owners HUGE family, the kids that work at his restaurants. We are actually VIPs there so that’s pretty cool. The food is great as well. The food is really nice Mexican food and it fills you up too. It’s also very cheap. I would really recommend this place a lot to other people and hope they enjoy it.

I’m giving this a 4 star because this type of restaurant can’t be a 5 star. The food is good, cheap mexican. The service is always great. If you are looking for mexican in the fb this is where you want to come.

We have tried several Mexican restaurants in the area as they are like Walgreens… one on every corner! Cabo’s however is the absolute best hands down! Service is spot on and friendly, food is always excellent. The best part is the Sunday Brunch! We look forward to brunch as a family every Sunday and there is no debate on where to go!

We went to Cabo’s for the first time last night. Overall, I can only give this place 2 stars. Our server was really sweet but it was like pulling teeth to get her to get us anything. Having said that, I don’t blame her I blame the management. We had to keep asking repeatedly for napkins. Finally, we asked for a stack of them since we had asked(and got them) 3 times. The waitress told us she would get in trouble if she brought a stack of them and they got left on the table. Water didn’t get refilled unless we asked for it. Then I asked for more Pico de Gallo and the waitress said it would be extra. No problem, I said. I was thinking and extra .25 or .50 cents. NOPE. When the bill came we were charged and extra $ 1.25 for a tiny ramekin of friggin’ tomatoes, onions & some cilantro. And the waitress had to short my mother in law .70 cents because they somehow couldn’t make enough change when we paid our bills. The food was good, our whole party enjoyed their meal but based on the penny pinching nature of the management we won’t be going back any time soon. I hate feeling like I’m being nickle & dimed. Hate it.

This is a very fine Mexican restaurant and one of my favorites. I went a little against the grain and ordered the chicken wrap with fries for lunch just to see how they would fare with what I guessed would be a less popular dish. I wasn’t expecting miracles and I didn’t get any. However, the effort was there and the food was satisfactory. I know they can do great food here because I’ve had it before. The service was efficient and friendly. The restroom was clean. I’ll be returning again and again. Best advice, stick with the classics. If I wanted an amazing chicken wrap and fries I’d look elsewhere. Everything else here is top notch.

It’s… Okay. My toddler and I go here once a week or so because he goes to therapy in the same plaza. We go out of convenience, not so much because they are amazing. Since it’s just the two of us, we often don’t get very good service. I guess they think I won’t tip well since our bill will be so small(we share one lunch). The food isn’t that great but not bad. The beef for tacos/burritos is pretty bad though. Tastes like plain beef. I’ve watched our server give better service to tables full of people on their lunch break :-/. The service is pretty slow in general. We go at 11:00 sometimes and will be one of only a few customers in the place, yet still get slow service.

Seems this is the place to go locally, but I’m just not into the slow service, inconsistent food, attentiveness. We have 3 – 4 Mexican on the corner and none are authentic Mexican. I guess for your Tex Mex fix, this will do. Biggest issue for me is service and time it takes to get in, get drinks get refills, eat and get out. Takes way too long. Have to rate it above others and there are a lot of locals at the bar that seem to be regulars. Prefer Tacos and Teqillas in Cumming or a great place in Buford that is authentic– Mexicana???. but think they may have closed. We could use an authentic Mexican in FB just waiting to find one. This is not it for me.

Always a great meal, we usually dine at the bar. Two to three times per month we count on Cabo’s for dinner. Never had a problem with service. Tried 10 different entrees over the last year and never disappointed. Large, cold draft beer and cheese steak burrito are my favs!

We normally eat at the Buford location(for over ten years) and we love it! However this location is awful. We went in expecting the normal good service we have and good food at the Buford location. Not even close. Not many people in the place, server doesn’t check on us at all. seven(yes 7) employees leaning against the wall and socializing all while they see we are in need of things. NO team work at all. Manager catches on to the fact that we have to almost beg staff to get what we need and ask if anything is wrong… then he defends the staff instead of apologizing for bad service. He actually said the other staff cannot help you because they don’t know your order… REALLY! Bad management poor leadership. Save your money and time. Owners should take a close look at this location.

Food is okay for this type of Mexican but service is horrendous. Just drive 10 more minutes to La Parrila. Worth the drive.

My favorite Margaritas in this part of town. I love the food here and frequent here a lot. The prices are excellent and the ingredients are always fresh. Tip: when eating the chips that come before the meal ask for the special brown salsa. It is a real treat.

Doesn’t even deserve 1 star. Terrible food, horrible service. My friend and I went for lunch. I had a Speedy and she ordered a salad. My taco was dripping grease and the beans were cold. Her salad had iceberg lettuce, onion, cucumber and 1 slice of tomato. They didn’t even bring her any dressing and I had to hunt down the server to get some. The employees were all huddled together in the bar area watching a soccer game. We were one of 3 tables in the whole place at lunchtime. Now I know why. Never going there again.
