The service was excellent. Robin patiently took my order and prepared my to-go order perfectly. Unfortunately, the food did not match the quality service. The meat, brisket, pork and ribs, were bland. I had to use a ton of sauce to give it any flavor. The mild sauce was too hot and there wasn’t any mustard sauce or appropriate BBQ sauce for the pork. The okra was too salty and not crunchy. There was bland gravy on the bland garlic mashed potatoes, really gravy on garlic mashed potatoes not cheese bechamel. No cornbread, but the biscuits were tasty according to my lunch mate. The best item were the greens, absolutely wonderful. The potato salad was good and the pickles superb. However, a $ 15 plate of BBQ should be better, smokier, tastier, moister with a darn good sauce.

First time visitor. Came here at a little to 5pm 3÷18÷16 there were only 2 customers. Took 10min for the waitress to take my order. Thankful that the bartender noticed me & came over & took my drink order while I waited on my waitress. Starting off kinda shaky, but the Margarita I have is puttin me at ease. Had the dry rub ribs! Great taste fall off the bone. Collards were good as well as the baked beans. I will be back.

Our family loves Red Hot Blue. We all have our«go to» dinner. But all of us LOVE the potato salad! To die for! The servers are so nice and very attentive. Would recommend this for a fun family night out.

I’ve been eating at RHB In Flower Mound since it opened and I think their dry ribs, pulled pork, collard greens, and potato salad are generally excellent. Historically, I’ve found their brisket about average for Texas, which is fine as I normally opt for the ribs and pork anyway. But today I was in the mood for brisket so I had some as takeout for lunch. When I got home I discovered that it was very dry and was sliced almost ½″ thick WITH the grain. It was like a child had cut it and this abysmal technique made the already marginal brisket almost inedible. Perhaps it was a kitchen mistake where one person was about to chop those slices and someone else grabbed them erroneously for my order of sliced. I have no idea, but that’s about the only possibly reasonable excuse I can imagine. Anyway, I’ll post a picture so you can see what I mean. Still giving them 3 stars since I also had their ribs and collard greens again, which were great as usual.

VERY disappointed in our meal! We waited 40 minutes for a carry-out order with 4 items on it. In addition, when we FINALLY got the food home, 2 items were warm at best, 1ICE cold(which was my son’s meal!) and only 1 was warm. We live less than a mile from this location. To me there is no excuse for this service, but more over, no excuse for the lack of attention by the staff to the issue as it unfolded. And it’s sad because as over priced as the food is, it’s normally delicious.

Picked up dinner for my family last night expecting quality food as I have eaten here numerous times, but not in the last 3 years. All 3 of us agreed it was the worst food. Son’s Hickory Bacon burger was«bland». I had the Delta Double of catfish and ribs… catfish was OK, but nothing special, but the ribs were un-eatable! Tasted like it had been cooked days before… meat could not be chewed and it had such a hard outer crust to it. I can eat almost anything, but this was abysmal! Embarrassing for someplace that used to be very good.

Lunch today with a friend. Ordered the brisket plate. The beef was dry, tough, cold and tasteless. I asked the waiter about it and he found out that it was cooked yesterday.(Probably sliced then too.) This place used to be great. It seems they don’t try anymore. This was my last visit to this chain. There is good bbq out there, but this is no longer one of those places.

This was my first ever stop in Texas and it was great! Fast service, great food, friendly staff and an awesome environment. First off, everything really is bigger in Texas! Individual waters were served in pitchers! So cool! I had the Five Meat Treat and it was great, a good way to taste everything that they have to offer.

Why haven’t been here before?! I’m really aggravated I’ve lived here for awhile and haven’t been here until now. My hubby lived in Memphis for awhile and fell in love with dry rub BBQ! This place was spot on and just what our taste buds desired! The food was crazy comforting. We checked in and got a free banana pudding… we didn’t have room for it but better believe I made room to indulge!

Food and service are spot on! And I got a free desert for checking in! I got fried pickles and my burger had brisket on it. You have to come here and try it!

Just mediocre barbeque. Our waitress was nice but stretched thin, so she didn’t really have enough time to take care of our big party. The food was middle of the road, my pork was not flavorful, and my potatoe was cold. Probably won’t be returning although I did like our waitress, there is certainly better barbeque around! They were accommodating for our group, though.

Used to have ok bbq then it was sold and I would like to be able to write a good review but I’m unable to do so. They still have marginal bbq for the area but the prices have gone up and the portions have gone down when there available. Seems every time we go in they are out of something, chicken, ribs, sausage and brisket. Not out all the same time, different meats different visits and its disappointing because its not that its great bbq or that their on a wait or its late in evening, they just didn’t make enough. It is very convenient, walking distance, going to give 6 – 8 months to see if they have it together any better but will for sure call first to see out of anything. Service is good but were not there for that

I love this place and go here all the time for a turkey sandwich. The other day, however, I saw something so disappointing I wanted to share. As a manager was bringing out a plate of food, he threw a white cleaning towel toward the bar, missed it, and the towel fell on the floor. After delivering the plate, he picked up the towel from the floor and wiped down the whole bar(where people eat and drink) with it. I was so grossed out. It’s very unfortunate that the person running that establishment sets that as the example for all the young wait staff. What else is going on when nobody can see. In case you’re wondering RH&B, it was the manager with a beard, about 40, and tall. So disappointed.

We are from Illinois and wanted some good bbq so we gave this place a try. The customer service was good. The waiter was very slow with checking back with us. Love the mini pitchers as cups! We got the shakin bacon fries as an appetizer and they were amazing along with their bbq ranch. We got the 4 meat sampler so we could try everything. It costs $ 17 but when the plate came out I was shocked by its skimpiness. We had a pinch of pulled pork and chicken. Not a whole sausage but 2 little cuts off of one. A couple slices of brisket and 2 bones of ribs. The only thing good and flavor filled was the 2 ribs. We got baked beans which were great and coleslaw which was nothing special. I checked in on Unilocal and got a free mini banana pudding which was good but nothing spectacular. Not enough good things for me to return.

I had fond memories of when I had tried the Southlake Blvd location before it closed. We tried the Flowermound location today and the service was good, but the food was just okay. I had the pulled pork and thought it could have had more seasoning and more smoked flavor. It was okay, just not melt in your mouth. The sauces were good. I especially like the sweet sauce(green bottle). The fries were tasty and I didn’t try the cole slaw or potato salad. The dry rub ribs were overdone and dry. I found them hard to chew. Luckily, they were not what I had ordered, I tried someone else’s. Our kids liked the variety of options on the children’s menu. They serve traditional burgers and chicken sandwiches too, incase someone in your party doesn’t care for BBQ.

This is a nice change of pace from Texas style BBQ. Now don’t get me wrong Texas Style is king in my books but this place is solid for pork. The dry rub ribs are meaty and moist. The pulled pork is very good and they have several sauces, my favorite is the hoochie coochie sauce and it is hot after a while. Drinks come in mini pitchers so don’t have to worry about refills often. I recommend.

Food was terrible. One of the worst ribs I’ve had. They were dry and not smoked well. Couldn’t see much of a smoke ring. Makes me wonder if they use liquid smoke. The flavors were just on the surface and didn’t penetrate the meat. Would have given 1 star if not for the good service. Should have gone to Dats Good BBQ.

I have been to this location more times than I can count. Consistent food quality and service. Their meats are moist and great flavor. I love blues so it’s ambiance is fun. Great peach cobbler but they frequently run out. I recommend the pulled chicken platter or the trio platter. They come served with a bit if BBQ sauce on the meat. I’d recommend getting it plain and then add your own selection of BBQ sauces that are available at the table. Family friendly with a good kids menu as well. A separate bar if you want to watch sports while you eat.
