It’s OK. They bought everything I brought in, so that was good, but EVERY single person working there is RUDE, DISINTERESTED, IMPATIENT, and the store is extremely messy and unorganized. I will not return here. I might try the one in Carrollton to see if the people are nicer. Too much competition to be dinks nowadays!

1÷26÷20113:00 pm — Every single employee working during the hour of 3 o’clock today should be ashamed of themselves. ESPECIALLYTHEPROPRIETOR! I walk into the store with my 3 and 5 year old children to see a 25 – 35 year old woman standing by the check out counter in a man’s button up shirt(no belt) and Ugg boots — nothing else. That’s right. NOPANTS. I’m sure she felt like she was stylish, but she was grossly, inappropriately dressed for walking out in public and definitely for a children’s only store. That woman should have been politely asked to leave immediately and she may return when she is clothed. The poor economy and the need for a buck is not an excuse to allow this woman in the store. The proprietor has neither integrity nor standards. Both women have earned the letter«S» for Shame…

The things they carry seem to be getting worse and worse quality wise throughout the years. The staff is not consistent in things they accept. I used to bring 3 and 4 rubbermaid tubs full of items for them and I would get a ton back, only being offered about $ 25 for the items they were willing to take. Once I would start browsing the racks, I was disheartened at the fact that the items on their racks were more worn out and faded than what I had brought them, and yet my items were turned down. Fine, if quality is not what they are looking for any longer, I will take my business elsewhere. When my daughter was born 7 years ago the quality of the items in the store was top notch, it’s been sad to see the decline in items of all age ranges through the years.

I am a new mother, and received a good amount of money on a gift card to this store for my shower. I was soooo excited to go there and get the things that were suggested to me by other moms, or things that I found I needed along the way. EVERY thing I needed(eg; mobile, front carrier, moniter, diaper bag, breast pump, bottle warmer, stroller attachment-I’ll probably think of more in a minute) I was told they«DO not carry!» What??? All of the staff there is Rude, Impatient, and they all seem like its their first day working there because they ARENOT knowledgeable. I’ve spent-or should I say WASTED my gift certificate on Overpriced hair bows and clothing. I also just found out via their monthly email that they have a system that when you buy X amount you get a stamp on your card towards savings… Ive spent almost $ 500 dollars in this store and have NEVER been told about this during one of my $ 150 sprees there. POOR, POORCUSTOMERSERVICE. On the flip side, I did get EVERYTHING I needed down the street at Kid to Kid Highland Village(on Justin Rd. next to the Walmart neighborhood market) where the staff and prices are leaps and bounds over Once Upon a Child Highland Village. If your reading this and you work at Once Upon a Child, I suggest you try smiling at work or QUIT, life’s too short to be that MISERABLE at your job I am adding this at a later date, and changing my stars from 2 to 1. I purchased a Graco swing from here and it had a tag that said«sanitized» on it. Well my dog Chandler doesn’t think they did a great job at sanitizing it… he keeps LICKING the legs. Something must have spilled on it and the employees at Once Upon as Child Highland Village DIDNOTFULLYSANITIZEIT. Gross-seriously
