this place sucks, BEWAREINSURANCEFRAUD. I went here and they double charge me and refuse to send all of my money back. They prescribe meds that do not help. The office staff is rude and I would not trust the doctor or the staff. They refuse to refund even when my insurance covered. BEWAREOFTHISPLACETANYATHEOFFICEMANAGERIS A BIIITTTCHHHH. I have been going to see Dr. Mark Bickert for a little more than half a year now and I’m so happy that I picked him over other doctors. I had gone to other doctors in the past and was prescribed pretty much every type of medication out there for my stuffy nose. Nothing worked long term so I was pretty desperate. Enter Google. I scourer the interwebz and have found many reviews of patients that were happy with this practice so I decided to give them a shot. My first visit gave me a really good impression. I walked in and was greeted promptly. I filled out the forms and less than 5 minutes later I was ushered in. Talk about fast! Elizabeth came in to take my blood pressure and spoke with me until Dr. Bickert came in. I’ve never been met with such a friendly and bubbly individual at a doctor’s office. So far so good. I expected Dr. Bickert to try to hard sell me on surgery right away(I actually expected this going in), but he told me he wanted to test a combination of drugs to see if my condition would get any better. He put my interests in front of his bottom line and I can definitely appreciate that! I drove home with a small copay and a couple of samples to get me started. I tried the combination of drugs that were prescribed to me for about a month, but it didn’t help much. When I went in for my followup, I again expected to be sold on a costly operation. At this time he gave me the option of continuing the treatment to see if another month would help and also went over the details of the operation. He put all the facts on the table and allowed me to decide what was best for me without apply any pressure. I told him I would have to think about the options and that I would let him know if I decided to go under the knife. After another 2 months and little progress I decided that I needed to get the surgery. I called Dr. Bickert to set up an appointment to go over the pros and cons of surgery including the costs, side effects, and recovery. He walked me through the procedure and made sure I had all my questions answered before he let me go. He didn’t say anything, but everything that I have experienced in his office assured me that I was in good hands. I’m not going to bore you with the details of the surgery, but I can tell you I can finally breathe! In all my subsequent visits Dr. Bickert has remained the down to earth guy I have grown to know. I never have to wait long and I keep getting the warm reception every time I drop by. For the last couple of months I have been able to breath normally through my nose and my snoring is kept at a minimum(my friends thank me all the time for going forward with the operation). After all was said and done I ended up spending some seriously bucks(insurance covered most of it, thank God!). But I was treated better than I could have imagined and I have so much trust in that Dr. Bickert exhausted all options before opting for surgery. If you are in the area and are looking for a great ENT I would highly recommend Lone Star. Thanks, Dr. Bickert!
