Review applies to Tuesday Lunch Soup & Salad only. Salad 3⁄5(they give you a lot of dressing) Rolls 4⁄5(great rolls, get extra with butter) Chicken Harvest soup 5⁄5(only offered on Tuesdays… I don’t know why… this soup is awesome and is the reason I come to the occasional soup/salad lunch at O’Charley’s)

Hi, I just wanted to share the experience we had at the O’Charley’s on Halls Ferry in Florissant Missouri tonight. I’ve been to that location many times and it’s always been great. Tonight however, was an all around pretty terrible experience. We got there around 9pm or a little after, the restaurant was maybe half full and we were seated right away. But we were seated at a table that had no eating utensils or small plates, we figured when the waitress(Spenser) brought our rolls out that she would bring the plates and flatware with her, but nope… she just set the rolls on the table and left. We ended up having to get up and get flatware off of the tables next to us. The waitress never brought any out to us. Spenser was not very personable either, she barely spoke to us or asked us how anything was, and never asked one of the people at our table(there was 4 of us) if she needed a drink refill. The other three of us she refilled many times without having to ask, so that was kind of weird. The food was«just ok, My daughter had the French dip, she said the sandwich was room temperature and the au jus was cold. I had the prime rib pasta… it was good, but it also was just luke warm, and the asparagus in it was basically raw, it was very bitter. So much so that I had to pick it out and push it to the side of the plate. My friend that was not asked if she wanted a refill had a steak with bacon mashed potatoes and broccoli. Her potatoes we cold and greyish, and her broccoli had brown spots on it like it was old. She had to send her plate back for new potatoes and broccoli, when they brought her plate back they just put the old steak back on the plate and it was cold by the time she got it back. My other friend had the club sandwich and said her food was fine, but the last sweet tea refill that she and my daughter got tasted like it had coffee in it… Everyone at the table tasted it to make sure it wasn’t just something funky with their taste buds… it really did taste like coffee. We let the waitress know and she went back to get different tea and then came back out and said«it’s all like that, not sure what’s going on. Do you want something else?» They both declined because at that point we were just ready to get out of there. On our way out we decided to ask to speak with the manager just to let him know about our experience. He was pretty nonchalant about the whole thing… He blamed the brown broccoli on being«overcooked»(it definitely was not overcooked). And he blamed the other problems on their being so busy because of the holiday weekend… problem with that is, they were not busy. So he basically gave a lame«sorry» and a bunch of excuses. This was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had in a restaurant. And neither our waitress Spenser nor the manager, Steve, that we dealt with have very good customer service skills, Spenser never once even apologized for anything. Needless to say, we did not leave a tip, and I feel horrible about it because I always tip… even if the waitress seems to be having a bad day, but after this experience I just couldn’t justify it.

Hey Brittany P. O’Charley’s doesn’t make paninis that’s probably why yours wasn’t good…

I’ve been to this location twice. The first time was around 2 p.m. on a weekday, a Thursday I believe. We had a fantastic server – friendly, attentive, even subbed the sweet potato fries at no extra charge. The food was tasty and we had a nice meal. The next time I went was on a Wednesday around 1 p.m. This is free pie day, and the place was packed. Our server was basically MIA the entire time. We didn’t get menus for 15 minutes. Our waters didn’t come for another 10. All in all, we spent nearly two hours there and saw the woman who was supposed to be our server maybe three times. The hostess helped us a lot. At one point I wandered the restaurant trying to find the ketchup and mustard we’d asked for when someone finally brought us our food. Everything was delicious, especially the pie, but I was horrified when our waitress walked in from outside, reeking of cigarette smoke, and actually STILLHADSMOKEINHERMOUTH when she asked us if we were ready for the bill. The manager took $ 10 off the bill, which was nice, but still… bad experience overall. Probably won’t go back there, unless we are guaranteed the first waitress. She was great.

Ridiculously good, we had steaks, Cesar salads, onion rings, and hushpuppies. Everything was amazing and our server was to die for ^_^ Ask for Lucinda as your server.

This place is really just barely hit or miss. I have been to this place and gotten good service, not great but just OK. Then I have been here and gotten the worst service and food I have attempted to eat. The rolls are good when they are good and bad most of the time. I had a chicken sandwich here once that was just plain disgusting and had really bad toppings, the tomatoes were soggy and gross and the lettuce was wilted and half rotten. Other times I have been here for lunch and it was awesome, their chicken tenders are incredible. I am pretty sure that they are fresh made. The time I was here for lunch I was with some fellow employees and the waitress was attempting to ask us if we wanted to join the lunch program they had and she could not for the life of her finish the sentence she was working on. I literally started cracking up and said no we do not want to join your lunch club. I was not trying to be mean but she said the same thing 10 different ways and still couldn’t get it right. This place needs to work on training and service really badly. Most likely will not return here.

So, yesterday my sister got a group together and dragged us to o charleys! I had never been before, but I was still a bit skeptical! It’s a chain restaurant for goodness sake. She was adamant about it, so o Charleys it is! We get there and wait 20 minutes to be seated. It was a little busy but, there were tables everywhere. We finally got to our seats, which BTW were spaced out way too far! You had to yell across the table just to have a conversation. There was little talking going on. Finally we met our waiter who looked like he had just rolled out of bed. He was nice but you can tell he was being fake. He came right out with rolls and our drink orders. We had to get soda because everything else we asked for they were out of! Most of the sodas were flat and one was water for real. Do you guys know how to change your syrup? After we waited 30 minutes for him to come back and take our order, we filled up on rolls and flat soda! Came back to take our orders and offered more rolls. No thank you on the rolls buddy we need room for dinner. So it took about an hour for the food to come out(no lie) and when it did he mixed it all up. I ordered a panini and my cousin had a hamburger. Once we took a bite we realized that he had mixed our orders up. He took the dishes back claiming that he would get us fresh ones. After 30 minutes he came back with our food. After inspecting it we noticed that all they did was change the bread. The patty and chicken pieces had bite marks. The bread was so hard I almost broke my teeth on it. We had been there for so long and had such a horrible experience I was just ready to go. He took.15 minutes to get us to go boxes and another 15 to bring the check! Idk what kind of place this is when they can’t make something as simple ad a darn chicken panini! I was livid, and I’m still kind of mad. Needless to say that was our first and last time at o charleys!
