Chimi’s Fresh Mex

Service is always fast and great. I haven’t ordered anything that I haven’t loved and I generally try something different each time. We’ve also ordered takeout and we were just as pleased with the food. Some of my favorites are the queso dip and the pork chimis. We come here a couple of times a month.

Fajitas were great. The double portion can feed a family of 4 2x and is totally reasonable price wise. Service is typically good and food comes out fast.

I have been here several times (I’m going again tonight) and I have NEVER had a bad experience with the staff, atmosphere, or the food. I LOVE THIS PLACE! You wouldn’t expect a large restaurant with more than one location to have such delicious, authentic Mexian food. One of the best around. I’m very picky about my ethnic food, too.

Not a huge fan of Mexican food, but coworkers wanted to eat here. We ordered and didn’t get everything. They missed my order completely and said it was our fault because we could not place an order right over the phone. They do not know customer service and should be closed down immediately.

Tonoght was our first trip to Chimis. The servive was very good. The food was was served hot and tasted good. We will be going back again.

I like this place, I do… I eat here often, but for this review my rating must stand at 3 stars, here’s why…
I typically order the Fajita Chimi, which I like, today I tried the El Paso, which stated a chicken burrito and chicken enchilada. No side comes with it, so I ordered a side of beans. The plate comes, I begin. Now, what’s the difference between the chicken burrito and enchilada… Nothing! The burrito is just bigger. So, while the flavors were fine… I’ll just leave it at that. I like this place…

My fav place for Mexican food over here. Service is always great… we always get our food fast and we love the salsa too. I havent had everything on the menu but you have to get the beef fajitas… they are excellent and if you get tacos or enchiladas or something try the shredded beef. Im giving 5 stars for the fajitas alone. Whatever you do… dont order the Mexican Crab cake. you will be disappointed LOL

Just had our third incredible meal at this great Mexican restaurant! The star of our meal tonight was the Roasted Corn & Tomato Soup. Everything we’ve ever had here from Apps to entrees were executed perfectly. The staff is very attentive and quick to respond to any extra requests. The house margaritas are a definite YES. They are made with fresh lime juice, you can tell it’s not some crappy mix. They have an extensive 4 page menu, very reasonably priced. Go for lunch or dinner. They only honor groupons if printed. Enjoy!

I’ve been here several times and had a good experience each time. I’m partial to Mexican food anyway and think this place is up there among the best tasting in the neighborhood. The place is spacious with plenty of leg room. It’s loud, so I don’t worry about my kids making a scene.

What, you haven’t tried this place yet? Are you seriously looking at reviews? This is the freshest and purest tasting Mexican food around. I am used to Chimichanga’s in the city and thought I’d never find a replacement in Florissant, but I have. Their prices are incredibly cheap too. The only issue I’ve had there is sometimes when it’s busy, the service can be pretty slow. For me, that doesn’t matter as I just eat more chips and salsa.

Extremely poor service today. Attempted to order to go (no one in line). Female checked 7 people before bringing back my simple already cooked order.

Wow! A perfectly place for my mom to get her mexi food fix. After Casa Guiardos on the rock road closed mi madré descended into a deep dark depression. Without her favorite chimini changas she saw no light in the world. Birds stopped singing and the sun never shined. We looked everywhere for a remedy, someplace close and tastey, with just the right amount of authenticity (I.e. Not very authentic.
Then one day the clouds parted and a choir of angels sang… Chimis came to Florissant. The family now goes to chimis about once a month and never have been disappointed. The margaritas must be good because every time mom drinks one she says she feels «like I’m in cancan»
All in all the food and service is good. Prices are reasonable. We no longer have to drive by the old casa’s restaurant with the sound of «missing you» by puff daddy playing in the back of our heads.

After being extremely disappointed with the other chain restaurants my daughter and I have visited recently, we decided to give Chimi’s a try after finding a Groupon deal for them.
We definitely did not leave this restaurant disappointed. Everything we had that night was awesome. We had the appetizer sampler and the cheese dip, tamales, and the chicken taquitos were very yummy. We both had the Grande Chimi dinner and we both LOVED it… The grilled chicken, steak, and pork inside the Chimi was so good. Tasted fresh offon the grill. The guacamole was good and fresh also. As was their salsa. We ended our dinner with the fried ice cream for dessert and even though we were stuffed by that point we couldn’t stop eating it. This is absolutely our new favorite restaurant.
Oh, I almost forgot, our waiter was awesome. Very nice and very attentive. All of the staff that we interacted with were very pleasant.

Delicious food. Went with my mother and nephew just to try it out and the food came out within 10 minutes of being ordered. It was pretty crowded that night, and there was a party going on as well.
Super impressed with the food. Margaritas were good. Not a huge fan of tequila, but I thought the Margaritas were pretty strong. I’d definitely plan on visiting again.

I really like this place for your average closer-​to-​authentic Mexican. They’ve got a lot of the items you’d expect, but I’m especially happy they have mini chimi’s among the choices on the lunch combos. I don’t always see that.
Service is great. Would recommend the tacos, mini chimi’s, chips, salsa, and cheese dip.

Wow, worst «Mexican» food I have found in STL. Save yourself the big bill and get Taco Bell.

Yeah very middle of the road food. Good margaritas! Excellent cheese sauce! My fav thing at any mex restaurant is the cheese dip/​sauce.
My actual entrée wasn’t amazing but edible. They had a brown sauce on the tamale and my flautas were falling apart. Service was good though. I like that they had the corn cake with my entrée dry but tasted good.

I’m a big fan of Chimi’s for so many reasons. Because of this new location close to home we have quickly become regulars.
This is an excellent place for birthdays, I have witnessed several birthday celebrations, including my own. The dessert was different for each one, but they all included a larger than life sombrero and singing.
I also like Chimi’s for their fast service, keeping my drink full and a good variety of different stuff on their menu. It’s not all typical Mexican restaurant fare, they also have a few different salads, sandwiches, and seafood options.
