Waffle House

I ate here on my way back from FL to NY and I have to say my experience was great! Ada was a wonderful waitress — very attentive and was always one step ahead of our requests. Very refreshing, considering I received much worse service during a $ 300 dinner in Palm Beach. Food was tasty, hot and fresh. Would recommend 100%. Definitely on my list during my next vacation drive.

Well, it is Waffle House after all, why did I expect anything more. The waffle my husband ordered was good BUT I ordered grilled chicken combo and it was nasty (and not as the menu stated with toppings, etc). My advice? Stick to waffles if you go here and do not expect decent service or service with a smile.

This was a great experience for both me and my family. It was our first time to a waffle house and the food and service were great and the bathrooms were clean.

We had stopped for the night at the Holiday Inn Express just north of Florence, SC and were very hungry. There were very few choices nearby. We decided to give the Waffle House a try.
There were no cars in the parking lot (it was about 7:30 in the evening on a Saturday night) so our first thought was that it was closed. But the lights were on and there were employees there. The waiter was very nice and very funny. He said he was on his third shift and had a seven week old baby at home. He said he walked to work, which was why there were no cars in the parking lot I guess. He was very pleasant and personable. The woman who was the grill cook was also very nice. The food was tasty and prepared with pride. We were pleasantly surprised with the overall experience.
The only reason I give it only four stars was that shortly after we ordered another couple came in and were allowed to smoke. It wasn’t too bad, but that is the reason I have avoided Waffle Houses in the past, because they typically reek of cigarette smoke.

This has to be the cleanest Waffles house I have ever seen. My wife and me were absolutely blown away with how clean this place was, the staff was very nice and this is the first waffle house I went into and seen the personnel with clean pressed none faded uniforms. Big shout to this Waffles House!
