We stopped by this store driving to South Carolina from Boston. We’ve been shopping for a gretsch kit and played several in local shops but haven’t found the right color. We were SO excited to stop in(just to pick up a few capos) and see a kit in the color we had been looking for. The associate yelled from across the store asking if we were all set. I think she profiled us and thought we were hooligans and just didn’t want us messing with the kit at all because when I asked if we could try the kit(which was fully set up) she said«no.» I said«seriously? We aren’t going to buy this kit if we can’t try it!» And she muttered something to the person next to her and said«it will put wear and tear on it.» It is ridiculous to assume that any real musician is going to buy a real instrument without playing it first. I guess she didn’t think we were real musicians. Too bad. This was going to be a back up/traveling kit to use when we don’t want to travel with our 3000.00 gretsch kit. Wake up. This is an amateur music store at best with bad bad bad customer service. At least walk across the store next time.
