Mane Attraction

I recently moved here and needed to find a new hair salon. Nothing complicated, I just have blonde highlights and needed my roots touched up. Wasn’t sure how to choose so I just picked one. Which turns out to not be a good method. I explained what I wanted and was under the impression that the stylist understood. The first red flag was when she finished washing my hair and said «Now let’s cross our fingers and hope for the best.» Not comforting. As she combed out my hair I noticed that I still had very visible roots and brought it to her attention. She assured me that I wouldn’t even be able to notice them once she dried it, which wasn’t the case. She dried my hair, and my roots were the same! She must have noticed too because she said «Next time we’ll just do your roots.» That was the whole reason I was there. I was so in shock I tipped her and left.
Not sure where the miscommunication happened but here I am three days later with 7-​week old roots. Also, my bangs ended up looking red! I have never been so unhappy with my hair. Needless to say I now need to find another new salon to fix what this one did.
