Luminous Skin

I have being coming to Gina for all of my skincare and waxing needs for about a year and a half. I have experienced most of her treatments (facials, peels, microdermabrasion, dermaplaining, waxing, eye lashing perming, etc) and she really truly is the best. I initially started coming to Gina for adolescent turned adult acne that I struggled with the last 18 years… 18 years of dermatologist appointments, harsh medications (that never worked for me) and insecurity. Gina introduced me to her acne treatment plan through Face Reality Acne Clinic in California and I can honestly say my once horrible skin does not break out anymore… like ever! It truly is amazing and I wish I had met her years ago! On top of having the best skin I have ever had in my life (which I fully credit Gina and her hard work for) I truly enjoy my appointments with Gina, she is incredibly knowledgeable and personable and I feel like I am catching up with an old friend. I highly recommend Gina and her services!

I came here to get my eyebrows and eyelashes tinted and I was very happy with the results. I was a little nervous going into this because im a redhead so i didn’t know how well tinting would work with my skin and hair colors, but it turned out looking so natural and great! Gina is super nice and does a fantastic job with making the atmosphere comfortable and friendly.

Gina does a wonderful job! She’s very professional and consistently gives me the best customer service! She does a wonderful (& more importantly quick-​lol) job on my waxes. The facials I have received from her are wonderful and relaxing. And I love getting my eyelashes tinted and permed! Especially in the summer when on the beach with new make up it does wonders for my appearance! I’ve been to a lot of different aestheticians in NKY Cincinnati area and Luminous Skin definitely deserves 5 Stars from me:)

Bought a Groupon for a half price facial and thought I may as well see… well to my surprise Gina and the facial were both wonderful. Can not recommend Gina enough! Thoroughly enjoyed talking with Gina and the AMAZING facial… will be a return customer… love love love it!

Gina is amazing. I can’t say enough positive things about her. The facials and peels rock my world. My skin has NEVER looked better. My waxing is always flawless. I can’t recommend her enough and I just found out that she does airbrush tanning!!! I made an appointment. I will update and let you know about that service too!!! Do yourself a favor and just go here!

I recently moved back to the area after living in NYC for 5 years. I was nervous that I wouldn’t be able to find spa services that were as good as the ones I’d found in New York. I was happily surprised to find Gina at Luminous Skin. Best wax I’ve had. Not painful, easy and thorough. It can be a little weird to do that service, but I felt completely comfortable. And seriously, the least painful wax I’ve ever experienced.
Gina gave me a spa facial last week, which was amazing as well. My skin looked and felt great!
I highly recommend her for all your spa needs. You can book online, but I recommend just calling her and leaving a message for the day and time you prefer. There are more time options that way.

I found Gina from this website and I was so happy with her and her service! She was quick to return my call and quick to get me in for an appointment. There was no waiting when I walked in. She made me feel comfortable and it was the best waxing appointment I’ve had! I highly recommend her and can’t wait to try more of her services, like facials and skin care!

I took my 14 year old daughter to Luminous Skin for a «teen facial» as a treat before starting high school. Gina did such a great job with making her feel comfortable, and not only did Morgan enjoy it, her skin was in noticably better condition after it. I wish we had thought to take before and after pictures! I highly recommend Gina’s services and will be scheduling again in the near future!

I agree, with the other reviews… this is a new hidden gem located in Salon Concepts!
Although I am no expert, it was my best Brazilian yet. Granted I have only had two (this being my second), it was a bit better than the first. By ‘better’ I mean a few things sets this place apart from my first experience.
First, Gina was quick to get back with me on appt times and when I needed to reschedule the night before she was quick to respond and flexible to schedule with.
Second, the experience was better… as mentioned in other reviews Gina was personable and talkative, to make the experience more comfortable and less awkward.
Third, the ‘coverage’ was much more than the first one I received, for essentially the same price.
I have already scheduled my next appt. and this looks like it will be my go to place for waxing!

Based of the review here on Unilocal,I called Gina for a last minute appointment before I took a vacation. She called me back promptly and made an evening appointment for me THE NEXT DAY. Awesome.
This was my first Brazilian and I was really nervous but Gina was great. She assured me it didn’t hurt as much as everyone says and she really was right. It wasn’t bad at all and it only took 20 minutes.
Gina chatted with me almost the whole time (again.I’m pretty sure she could tell I was nervous and felt awkward so she was trying to take my mind off the whole situation, I think!) but was still incredibly professional and efficient. She even made sure to tweeze any little hairs left over and let me do a check myself to make sure I was satisfied which I was pleased with as well.
As the other reviewer mentioned, she offers a loyalty program and let’s you come in for a reduced price maintenance session which I was also impressed with.
And totally unrelated bonus points: She also appears to use and sell Dermatologica products (which is a great skincare line that I use) so I immediately felt additionally at ease. My first thought when I walked into her very nice and extremely clean office was that this obviously is a woman who knows what quality is!
I would definitely recommend her to anyone!

Just got my first ever «Brazilian» and Gina made it as good as that experience can be! She is new at this location but not new to the business. Her skin care business is located in the Salon Concepts building — which is itself a pretty cool idea. All the operators there have their own little suites — sort of like booth rental but even better!
I got a ½ price deal on Dealchicken for the waxing at Luminous Skin which gave me the incentive to give it a try. Gina was friendly, fast, and very professional. It’s impossible to have that particular service done without some «sting», but honestly, I think she did it as well as it could be done. It was a little uncomfortable, but not really too bad. More importantly, she made me so comfortable that I didn’t even think about what she was doing!
She offers a «maintenance package» for her Brazilians — reduced cost if done monthly. I think that’s a great idea. She also offers a «customer loyalty» card — every 6^th service is free. I think that’s also a great idea.
She does all kinds of skin care– not just waxing. I am planning to have a facial done in the near future!
