Global Nail Spa

This was my go-​to place when in AZ for pedi and Mani. It is Great artistry with nail painting on my big toe. Since ¹⁄₂₀₁₆ I have not been thrilled. Appears staff has turned over.

I’m sitting in a pedicure chair now. none of the tools she’s using are new or clean and I’m tempted to say something but I don’t have the courage.

Walked in and seen immediately. Did fill up after I arrived and they kept taking everyone. Even calls were told no wait. I had two different techs work on me. Staff continually spoke foreign language to each other. Don’t fell like friendliest place but was great in a pinch. Was an average gel mani. $ 33 for French tip.

Walked in twice for Mani/​pedi and we were turned away both times. They told us to come back the next day and that we wouldn’t need an appointment. When we arrived, they again said they did not have enough staff for four mani/​pedis and we got an eye roll. Took our business elsewhere and they were great!

Came in for a pedicure and gel manicure last night. I usually go down the road further but I was short on time and figured I would stop in the one closest to home. The elder lady who did both was nice but the female owner was rude.
The pedicure was OK, I think this woman was either brand new to being a tech despite her age because she wasn’t gentle at all and polish all over my toe nails. She did the same on my nails but at least with the polish she could clean up the edges of my toes but the gel sets in that way too, over my cuticle on my fingers… not happy with that. this is why I pay to have them done so the edging of the nails look clean, I can not produce a professional look and apparently she can’t either. When I said something to the owner about it she blamed me because I wanted the sparkle over my top part of the nail and carried on in her language very loudly. Needless to say I didn’t argue with her, I just paid and left.
I don’t think they sterilize their equipment either. She pulled her stuff off the tray and left it there… I pray that I don’t get some type of infection!!!
I should have known better that there was only one other person in there getting her nails done on a Friday night. I think the snow birds in Anthem who don’t leave the area keep this place alive.
I will not be going back there, I will take the drive and go elsewhere!
