Takes me back. How did I forget how much fun roller skating was? Came on a Friday night, and it made me really happy to see families and children. The crowd was actually respectable and sort of normal. Great! The music was the classic skate songs that I listened to when I was child-teen. So A+ for that. The rink is old school, old lights, musty smell… You get it. I just smile to this. The price is inexpensive so that makes it even better! Was like 8 bucks for admission plus skates. I feel the skates have had a lot of love but were still viable, with a lot more life to offer. The cons– the far side of the rink had some damaged spots, possibly from water and they really do need to be replaced. Lots of cobwebs in the corners so someone does need to thoroughly clean the place. And I think replacing the carpet(looks and smell original) would make a huge impact on the smell! Good thing for olfactory adaptation! Ok ok I’m being harsh. Without changing the Classic skating rink vibe that we all know and love I think this place could stand a deep scrub and a little TLC. But for the price I look forward to returning.

Time Travel? if you skate fast enough you just may go back to the 5 – 8 grade. This place has it all the loud music and disco lights. Video games and plenty of places to sit when you need to take a break. This place transported me back to my younger days when I was clumsy well I still am but I had fun. The cost is low and it’s the place to go to relive the days of your youth. After all it’s called the Fun Dome

This place hasn’t changed since 1990. I wish I were joking. The disco balls, raggedy giant american flag, cheesy rendition of the hokey pokey, and bathroom stalls for hobbits pretty much make this skating rink a perfectly preserved vision of how simple the world was back then. The prices are extremely cheap, and if you don’t mind the sting of busting it in front of twelve year olds, it makes for a good time. Sometimes I just go to pretend I’m in the roller derby. I usually leave with enough battle wounds that I can sell that lie to friends. The skates are super old though, I would suggest that if you wanted to frequent this place, invest in a pair.
