We recently installed a 16 foot sliding glass door in our home. It was impossible to figure out how to cover those doors since vertical blinds and draperies were not an option. Dave from Elite Shutters and Blinds was the 3rd company I had to my home for an estimate. Dave asked me what types of windows I needed coverings for before my appointment and he came to my home with several different Hunter Douglas samples and had the perfect solution to cover them up. The other two companies that came over said that vertical blinds would be best and gave me catalogs to look through. I could have done that on the internet myself. I was worried I was out of options until I met Dave. I was so pleased with the amount of options that he had to choose from. I received the quote and ordered right on the spot. Their installation team as well as their customer service was excellent. I would highly recommend this company for your window covering needs. They are top notch and know the window covering business better than anyone else !!

Unbelievable! I contacted Elite Shutters & Blinds for an estimate for a complete in home window treatment service(e.g. 2′ wood blinds & solar screens). The store manager/sales rep, Susie Showalter came to our home and measured the windows throughout the entire house. Later that day, she sent an estimate and invited us into the showroom to see their displays and to go over more samples, etc. Upon visiting the showroom, we expressed that we were also in the market for ceiling fans, a water softener and security doors for the front and rear of our home. Upon leaving, we made minor changes(…couple hundred bucks) to our order and I offered to leave my debt card info to complete the purchase, while awaiting for a revised emailed estimate. The following morning, I awoke to a revised estimate which totaled over $ 1000 more then the original estimate! Susie expressed via email, «Here is a revised estimate as we discussed. My previous estimate did not have correct formulas so the final #‘s were incorrect. Not sure if you picked up on that. I will understand if you choose to go with someone else based on previous figures, the formulas did not capture each line giving it accurate final #‘s. Sorry about that!» Okay, this is somewhat of an honest mistake… however, the initial estimate was sent via a .pdf file, which does not contain formulas as did the Excel spreadsheet sent to us for the revised estimate. And outside of an apology, there was no mention of «we value you as a potential customer and since we misquoted the original estimate, we would be more then willing to meet you half way, and/or we know that you were also interested in investing in ceiling fans, a water softener and 3 security doors, lets see what else we could possibly do to win your business. As a Marketing Director(in a word-of-mouth industry), I am completely baffled by Susie Showalter’s response as well as her voicemail stating that, she wanted to see if we had made a decision on whether or not to go with them, and«if we decided to go with someone else, then that’s fine.» As a consumer, I have never felt so unappreciated. It’s also a rare occurrence for an establishment to pawn off business to the competition. Susie also mentioned that she spoke to the owner regarding her mistake and that he agreed to the final estimate… no apologies, no offers to make things right, no nothing. Simply put, I’ll take my 2 inch wood blinds(17 windows) treatment, solar screens throughout, ceiling fans throughout, water softener and 3 security door business elsewhere.
