Drake’s

At the back bar. 7 customers seated, 2 bartenders, 10 minutes with empty glass and open menu. Bartenders busy talking to each other and complaining about work. Pitiful!

Have no idea about this place in general. They make a good drink and COULD have good atmosphere, but worst possible DJ ever.
DJ LA ruined a perfectly good night out. He sucks. Please don’t ever have him back. No one danced and he spent most of he time on the floor having a bro dance off with one other guy. Get someone good for your Saturday nights.

I stopped in here while in town for an interview. I tried the sirracha wings an wow they were excellent. The dry rub was a nice change. The flavors were layered and complex. In my opinion they were «off the hook» good. I stayed until 10:00 th get the $ 1 sliders (cheese burger) and they were pretty good too but the wings were totally awesome. I’ll be back.

Upon entering Drake’s I was surprised by the atmosphere. It was very comfortable and inviting. You seat yourself and we took the first table we saw open. The music was on point and we really enjoyed watching the music videos on the TVs above the bar. The mix of the music selection was entertaining and gave us a great conversation piece while we were waiting for our waitress. This was the the downside of our experience; it took a long time for someone to provide us with any attention. We ended up asking a random waitress if someone was supposed to have come to our table. She was very nice and was able to take our drink order while we waited for our actual waitress. The service was mixed throughout the night; at times our waitress was witty and accommodating, but there were also times when we sat for a while without refills. The service is the only reason this restaurant lost a star. The food came out in an acceptable amount of time and the menu was interesting; a mix of your basic bar food and also a decent selection of sushi. We ordered the buffalo quesadilla, the fried chicken, and the crab rangoon shushi roll. The shushi roll was fantastic! We talked about this dish for the rest of the night and decided we would have to come again just to order this dish. The beer selection was decent, we ordered a flight and had a little fun tasting their offerings. The restaurant was clean, every staff member we encountered was nice. I would suggest sitting away from the fire in the winter during dinner. The smoke emitting from the fire place was heavy the night we were there. So much so that it caused the smoke alarm to go off. It was loud and obnoxious until one considerate guest held his hand over the alarm until a manager figured out a way to shut it off.
In general; YES — try Drake’s. It could be fun with friends or even with your family. The atmosphere is great, the food is great, overall the experience is one we would like to have again and again. Just make sure you aren’t planning on a quick meal on a Saturday evening (even as early as we were there — 5:30).

This is our go to place. The food & service is always awesome. Brandon, Jaclyn & Melissa always make us feel so welcome!!! Best sushi & wings!!!

The menu could use a bigger selection (mostly just burgers and sushi) but the food is great! The Crab Rangoon roll is very unique. Also love the cocktails — the cucumber is my favorite. Very refreshing!

Laughable menu for the most part… I mean really… fried bologna. However, the sushi is commendable. The décor is drab, the music awful, and the servers seem lack luster. Pretty much what you would expect in Florence KY

This place is pretty cool. Drake’s offers family dining during the day and transforms into a pretty fun bar at night. During the summer the garage doors in front open to have an awesome open air dining experience for people eating in the front room. In the cooler months don’t be surprised to smell the great smell of the fireplace before you enter the front door.
With a bar in both rooms Drake’s is a pretty good place to get a drink and to hang out with friends. The fireplace and couches offer a cute and snugglie place to get a little closer.
The sushi at Drake’s is by far the best in Florence. I love the spicy tuna roll, the crab rangoon roll, and the midorki roll. At my last visit I had a seaweed salad and it was delicious! I stole a bite of my Mom’s California chicken sandwich and I have to say that will be my next choice when I go back. The salads are all delicious. Okay okay okay I like everything :). I recommend going!

Courtney was our waitress and bartender. She was welcoming and took great care of us. She seemed to know a lot of the patrons by first name and created a fun, hometown bar experience. She was prompt and got all of our orders correct. She was so sweet and I would ask for her again. Great experience.

You would think local professional teams would be on the TVs if it is being broadcast … Not the case had to ask twice… Good craft beer selection

Drake’s is a nice place and a good addition to the Florence area for the amount of different beers it has. I’ve been to drake’s in Louisville several times but this was the first time getting food in Florence from their menu. That being said, I was fairly disappointed. I ordered the Chicago sushi roll just to try something unique since it was a sushi roll with steak, asparagus, and cream cheese in it, topped with avocado. I was disappointed because there was hardly any steak in it at all. I felt like I was eating cream cheese mixed with rice. Also, for being a non busy lunch time, we had to wait almost an hour just to receive 2 different sushi rolls to our table.
For the price and what I received, I will most likely not order this dish again but I still would like to return to Drake’s for drinks and appetizers.

Very sports bar like atmosphere which is cool.
The food, even for vegetarians, was awesome.
The beer selection is good and the waitress we had did an awesome job.

I have been to the Drake’s in Alabama, This is the first Drake I have been to outside the state of Alabama. I had ordered 3 mini BLT with sweet potato fries. When I got it. It looked like a salad… way too much lettuce. Then I had ordered the cucumber cocktail (it was ehhh ok I didn’t get tipsy) Then I ordered the pixie cocktail and that one was the
!! I loved it !!
Now, I use to be a waitress and that was many years ago… What I don’t like is that they give you the receipt and it says «Gratuity Appreciated» and its calculated in percentage of how much you should give. Then my waiter had the nerve to circle it as if I don’t see it… Well, I always see the Gratuity at the bottom. But, why did she circle it? If I don’t have $ 8.00 than I don’t have it. I have $ 3.75 for a tip. appreciate it and call it a night. Sometime, I will give you a $ 20.00 and sometimes I will give you $ 3.00 or $ 5.00. It depends on a lot of factors. especially your service you give me.

For this particular visit we stopped in on a Friday evening, and got a quick seat considering the time. Being a craft beer fan, I love their beer selection. This visit didn’t have as much appeal on their rotating list, so I grabbed a house cocktail. I was a big fan of their patio punch!
I selected the crab ragoon sushi roll for my meal, and my husband ordered the mini sliders. Both were awesome options and I love the fact that I can get sushi, while he eats his American staple!
I enjoy the overall atmosphere, especially on a sunny day with the garage doors open. The pricing is a bit steep for the amount/​quality of food, I usually leave here wanting a little more. Other than that, it’s a great option for a bite and drink in the Florence area.

Nice to sit outside, reasonable prices. Had the salmon, average and small portion. The blue cheese green apple salad was good. Beer selection solid.
Best part was the open doors…

Stopped in with my parents this past Saturday and WOW great burgers and a very helpful staff! Within 2 minutes of being seated we had a waitress at our table taking our drink order. She recommended the Frickles and am happy she did! The breading on the pickles and the sauce were amazing!!!
All 3 of us ordered burgers; The Morning Glory, The
Mushroom Swiss, and The BBQ Burger. None of us had complaints… except that the burger was so large I could barely fit it in my mouth! Sweet Potato Waffle Fries were greatly seasoned as well!
Would be a great place to watch a game at, a lot of TV’s!

Decided to come here on a whim. Came here with my friend Steve for a quick beer and a dinner. Service was good, Mallory was a nice waitress. I ordered 16oz Stella and my friend Steve ordered a watermelon drink. I ordered eel sushi roll, not to bad. My friend ordered the chicken and hash browns, he like it. Overall all, I felt it was a little pricy for bar food, especially no happy hour, I was kinda of surprised. Highlight the manager came out to see how everything was. I respect manager that come out to see customer and ask about opinion… thx

We stopped at a place called Drakes in Florence, Ky. I liked it because it has the garage door store front and the whole thing was open. Majorly a plus when your hung over.
The place was huge inside. Much larger than it looked outside. And they had a mustache see saw. Yes you read that right, order a beer, and get a mustache ride. lol. I had Lauren so no beer for me, but its still hilarious anyway.
The food was pretty good. Weird to mix up sushi and bar food; but it worked. I got the Crab Rangoon roll. It was really good, but I couldn’t eat much. Hangovers and sushi don’t mix apparently. Lauren loved her wings, the fact that it came on sticks, and the sauce.
We’ll be back to try this place again. It had a cool vibe, and decent food.

I am never ever disappointed in my meal at Drakes! We always go for ½ priced table taps on Monday, and I typically get sushi! The fantasy roll is my favorite, very spicy, lots of flavor, not too expensive, and you get your choice of internal meats!!! I’ve always experienced wonderful service, I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting good food and a good environment!

We ALWAYS get the sushi! And an import beer!
Half price sushi night is one of the best deals around and the atmosphere is pretty good too!
