Cricket is a good cell phone provider, and all things considered, I like this location. Accessibility: Located in the still-fairly-new Mall Road Shoppes, near the Florence Mall. With the recent improvements made to Mall Road, very easy to get to and around. Once you get in the store, there’s one POS(point of sale) terminal at the main counter, and two additional employees on the far right side of the store that will help you. Experience: Helpful employees, very nice people. Word of advice: DONOT come in on the last Friday of the month(or the first Friday if that’s closest to the billing date) after work, expecting to get out quickly. It won’t happen, and it’s no fault of the employees, they’re just slammed. Trust me on this one. You’re better off paying online in that situation. Price: Unless you’re going for the iPhone(yes, Cricket DOES offer the iPhone), your smartphone will cost you anywhere from $ 80 – 250. iPhones are the most expensive by a mile… running upwards of $ 300. Probably worth the price, but if you don’t have that kind of money? Hey, their android selection is pretty good, too. And the plans? Very affordable. At Sprint, AT&T, T-Mobile, or Verizon, you would easily pay $ 100 a month by the time you factored in all the fees, for unlimited data. With Cricket? $ 75, max — and that also includes the Muve Music with unlimited music downloads.(Oh, and ask if they have any discounts for porting your phone number from your current provider, which would save you some money.) So, overall: Accessible, nice and helpful employees, decently priced. Five stars from me.
