During the massive flooding, we tried 6 other hotels unsuccessfully in an attempt to find a place to stay for the night. We managed to get a room at the Baymont. The receptionist was beyond friendly, and concerned about all the travellers trying to find lodging. We were travelling with my daughter, who is in a wheelchair, and unfortunately, there were no 1st floor rooms available. Considering the situation, that was no big deal. There was also, no elevator. No worries, we decide it’s a dry place, we’ll carry her up the stairs. After doing so, here’s my first suggestion: place non skid strips on the stairs. Yes, I know it was raining cats and dogs(sorry animal lovers) but the paint on those concrete steps is deadly when wet and needs non skid strips or to be repainted with a paint and sand mixture. Now let’s talk about the room. And again, I’m truly grateful that we were able to find a place to stay for the night. However… there were multiple pieces of cabinetry missing, and mold growing from inside the laminate. There was a dead cockroach on the carpet. The couch had a sticky puddle of spilled soda. At least, that’s what I hope it was. There was a dirty towel covered in I-don’t-know-what hanging from the bathroom door. There were various bodily fluids/solids evident on the bathroom door, and the shining, award winning, come-to-Jesus moment was the discovery of the pile-o-pubic hair on the bathroom floor. I felt like I needed to be scrubbed with bleach. But… it was dry.

Moved to FL to MD and stayed here overnight. I left early in the morning and left my laptop in my room and didn’t realize it until I was 100 miles away from Washington. called and maintenance found the laptop. Since it was a Saturday, there wasn’t much they could do so I had to call the GM(Crystal) that Monday. She shipped my laptop to my new address and I got it by the end of the week. I’d stay again if I was traveling through Florence.

Nothing fancy but the room was clean and the price was right. Easy off/on I-95. Decent hot breakfast, clean pool– I would recommend this for a good stopover hotel.

I showed up here after midnight and was given a choice of either a suite or smoking room on a Saturday night. I went with the suite which was reasonably priced and very comfortable for the cost. It did feel a little 1980’s sleeping next to a hot tub, but the linens and bed were comfy and the room was enormous. There did appear to be some black mold growing on the tiles in the bathroom and there was a humidifier in the room making me feel like management was aware of the problem. It would have been nice if they cleaned the mold off before renting the room though. The breakfast was very good/impressive.

We arrived super late and was quickly checked into our room. The room is a very standard, budget hotel room. That said, the linens were clean and while the pillows weren’t high quality, they were rolled and packed tightly into the pillowcase. It seemed my room hadn’t been stayed in for awhile. There was dust on some of the furniture, a stagnant smell when I turned on the A/C, and a couple dead bugs around(at least they were dead.) I was also in a handicap accessible room, which made the shower head come up to about my chest; makes for a fun adventure washing your hair… All in all you get what you pay for and this motel is super affordable for the area(hotel strip accommodating north-south travel.) It has thin walls and no frills. That said, there’s a Cracker Barrel across the parking lot and a descent continental breakfast. If I was passing through again, I’d probably stay again as the price is half what the others are in the area.

We stayed at the Baymont Inn two nights in January. The price was extremely reasonable. I checked other places in the area and they were a lot more expensive. The price of the room was less than $ 80. Other hotels in the area were over $ 90. The room was clean, quiet, and cozy. I would give it five stars but the breakfast was only hot if you used the microwave. I would stay here again for sure.

Stopped from on the way from FL to VA. the rate was reasonable, the room was decent. Pretty much getting what you pay for. I did awake to a neighbor hacking up a lung so if you’re sensitive to noise, this might not be the place for you.

Stayed here to take a break while heading south on I-95. I found really good rates on the internet. Just stayed one night. I was not very impressed with the room… it seemed out of date. It was clean though. Although I requested a non-smoking room, I ended up with a smoking room. But it wasn’t too bad. The room served its purpose… a place to crash and shower before getting back on the road.

Stop-over hotel in between driving days. Didn’t arrive until after dark, and departed early the next morning. Despite all of this, I would stay here again anytime. We discovered a clean room with all of the amenities that we needed for a 10 hours stay. Good place!
