To start we had the tuna tacos tartar + the sesame calamari. The tuna tartar was okay, not something I would pay to revisit though. The sesame calamari lacked flavor. There were sauces to dip into, but without them, they’d just be bland. For the entrees, we ordered the specials since we were told they’re seasonal. I had the lobster risotto, while my buddy had the pulled pork burger. Lobster risotto was a tad watery. Not as creamy as I’d like, + like the calamari, it lacked flavor. As for my buddy’s pulled pork sandwich, it was average at best. The sauce tasted like a typical honey bbq sauce + even though pork was covered in sauce, the meat itself was dry, not juicy/tender. Last but not least, the dessert. We shared a white chocolate cheesecake. Can’t say it was out of this world, but cant say it left an impression either. Overall for the food + its price, I think I’d go elsewhere.

Park Place is a neighborhood place and from my recent experience it seems like it is the heart of Floral Park. Stopping in for an early dinner(6pm) on a Friday night the bar was hopping as we were led to a table in the back dining room. It was even more pleasantly surprising to find it packed with families enjoying dinner. Park Place sure is popular — its easy to see why. Starting our meal with a couple of glasses of Sauvignon Blanc as we decide on our food. The southern grilled oysters were an excellent way to start — plump, juicy oysters topped with garlic butter and Parmesan, lightly browned were perfect with a hit of lemon. For our meal I went with the Sole Meuniere, cooked in brown butter, garlic and white wine — it wasn’t the best version I ever had, it was surprisingly light. The potatoes that were served with this were tender, but also could have used a touch more browning. My wife’s lobster risotto, a special app that she chose for her main, was delicious. Creamy risotto with beets, asparagus and many chunks of lobster meat — she really enjoyed it. For dessert we shared the Funnel Oreos that speaks to the crowd pleasing and unpretentious nature of this place. It’s generous and delicious with 4 fried oreos and a couple of scoops of vanilla ice cream. A great way to end our meal. Our server John was fantastic. He was attentive with a great personality — made fun conversation while making sure we had everything we wanted. Along with the food, its the kind of service that truly completes a meal, makes it memorable and want to return to Park Place soon.

My husband and I frequent this establishment and every time we are left full, satisfied and happy. Every item we have ordered is better than the next. We love how the menu changes by season and there are weekly food and wine specials. Sometimes we just stop by for drinks and are treated with the same high class service. The staff is super friendly, accommodating and courteous. We recommend this place regularly to friends and family. The owner, Patrick is often seen in the restaurant talking to patrons. We even booked the back room for my future sister in laws bridal shower. Highly recommend this gem in Floral Park.

The people at Park Place have truly mastered the art of cultivating American dishes with classic flavors combined with a modern flair. Inside is beautiful. I really appreciate the taupe and white accent walls and the artwork throughout the restaurant. Fun fact! The photography on the walls — all landmarks and sights from the surrounding Floral Park area, which I thought was very special. It adds a personal home-y touch. It’s quite spacious inside with plenty of seating, a nice large bar and big back room for private parties, events and such. As for the menu — although many of the dishes appear to have an American influence, there’s a lot of different, unique flavors incorporated as well. Appetizers: Sesame Calamari — black and white sesame with a sweet chili and spicy mayo dipping sauce. The calamari were lightly fried and cooked well. I thoroughly enjoyed the pairings of sauces — heat and sweet. Short Rib Nachos — comfort food at its finest. The combination of shredded braised pork with the nacho cheese, jalapenos and guac… so good. Entrees: Asian Steak Salad — marinated skirt steak, chunks of avocado, cilantro, peppers, carrots all topped with a lemon soy vinaigrette. Who said salads can’t be filling? This one certainly packs a punch. That dressing is nothing short of amazing. Cavatelli with Hot Sausage — the pasta is pillow-y soft and topped with a cognac cream sauce. Say no more. Wish the sausage was a tad bit spicier, but I unlike most people am always looking for more heat. Dessert: Apple Cobbler — all desserts here are made in-house which I LOVE. The apple cobbler was a beauty. It came out piping hot and a la mode which I mean, how can you not fall in love with it? It was rich, inviting and had the perfect amount of sweetness. Can’t wait to come back to Park Place. Whether it’s for a family night, catching up with friends or hosting a party, this place is a must visit. It has everything I look for in a restaurant — a welcoming ambiance, friendly staff and a solid, diverse menu. Highly recommend going!

Just had an amazing birthday dinner here! Haven’t been back in years(probably came around when it first opened) and always said I wanted to come back. The menu had so many options for everyone in our party of 6. We started with calamari and short rib rolls– both delicious. I had the steak frites, my husband and dad had the braised short ribs(my favorite of all). Tried the Mac and cheese and fried chicken from my family members –also amazing. Barbara was our waitress and was A+, so accommodating and friendly. They even let my family bring a birthday cake from my favorite bakery with no charge. We will be coming back regularly now! Thanks Park Place and Barbara for a wonderful birthday dinner :)

Park Place is a great local spot! The food is always fantastic with fun specials on the menu(like a marshmallow burger!) I go back specifically for their Philly cheesesteak at least twice a month! Their tuna taco appetizer is another fave! They have a great bar with a lively scene — great amount of wines and cocktails to choose from. Try the pineapple infused vodka on ice. They infuse it on site — delicious! The wait staff is super friendly and attentive. One of the owners, Patrick, goes out of his way to greet people and knows all the regular customers by name, making you feel right at home. Definitely a great date spot or fun place for a group dinner. HIGHLY Recommend!

Finally, I was able to make it here and try this restaurant with my friends. The place is actually more spacious inside than it looks outside. Very classy and posh ambience that you’ll love but the loudness of the music coming from the bar is off-putting especially if you’re trying to have conversation with your friends. But we kinda managed that by activating our olivocochlear reflex. Ha! Our server: Michelle. Nice, very hospitable and knowledgeable of the dishes on the menu. Also, she is all you could ask for, for a server. Hats off! Now,(drum roll)… the food: I ordered the New Zealand(NZ) Lamb chops, medium well. It’s nicely cooked because I get to experience all different levels of ‘doneness’ in one plate. I understand, lamb is tricky to cook especially on that serving size and thickness, and of course flying from NZ! Ha! Kidding aside, I love the richness of the flavor, salted sufficiently while the sides and sauce are meticulously thought out. Since I don’t eat pork, bacon is out of my plate as requested. Still, it came out just enough to satisfy my eccentric palatability. Downside, the food on this type of restaurants are served altogether, which means some food might come out a little colder than its preferred serving temperature. Unluckily, a couple of my friends received cold steaks on their plates and didn’t bother to mention it to our server for two reasons: 1) they’re so famished especially coming from a 10-hr shift, and 2) our server is too nice to be bothered by our complaints. A couple of my friends ordered the wheat beer and they love it and plan to go back there. Overall, this is our first time in this place but definitely not the last. I dare you to try this place and you’ll love the friendly atmosphere let alone the food that’s well-prepared and ready to excite your taste buds.

My boyfriend has lived in Floral park his whole life and has never heard of this place. When I told him I found it on Unilocal when searching for burgers, it was a GIVEN that we were going to try it out. I am giving it 4 stars because what I ended up ordering was very tasty and the service was great. I was very disappointed though(Although I guess it ultimately was my fault). I did not realize that the mac and cheese burger is NOT part of their everyday menu. The waitress told me they do it as a special every now and then. I was SO excited for it and when I found out I couldn’t have it I was let down. I would LOVE to be notified when they have it on the menu, haha. I would go back in a heart beat. The bread & butter they brought to the table was delicious. We ordered the guac & salsa for an appetizer, that was delicious too. I wish they gave more guacamole though(that’s how good it was). I ordered the Cowboy burger… which was yet again delicious. I really have nothing to complain about with this place aside from just being a little disappointed. It’s nice that my boyfriend and I don’t have to go all the way to RVC just to go to a nice restaurant. There aren’t that many great places in Floral Park. I’m also from Astoria, so I’m spoiled when it comes to great restaurants. Overall, happy with my experience here and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a nice little date spot.

Came here for hh with a bunch of friends and sat at the bar. Gina is awesome! We had a good time catching up and slurping down $ 1 oysters. Gina was accommodating and kept making interesting drinks/shots for us. The appetizers we shared weren’t impressive but I’ll definitely be coming back for hh often!

Came in on a Sunday place was really dead… But has a nice bright airy clean feel. Jackie was our wonderful waitress very attentive and explained the specials on the menu… We ordered the spinach artichoke dip to start it came out hot and gooey. I ordered the pattys burger but swapped the swiss for mozzarella. The burger was cooked perfectly to medium. But i think next time ill do the basic burger bc it had soo much on it i had to cut the burger! Along with the burger came fries in a cut little mini deep fry like basket. Really cute. They are super thin and a little on the salty side for my taste Service was good water glasses were always getting filled

I was meaning to try this place for the past year, but I went one Saturday night and they quoted me with a 3 hour wait! So I decided reservations were my best bet. My boyfriend and I shared the risotto appetizer which was very tasty, I had the stuffed pork chop which was amazing. He had a short rib dish that was tasty but it was a little dry. Beer selection was on point, definitely will return(with a reservation of course!). Just a note, parking is really tough, go early to find a spot!

Went here for lunch for my daughters 4th birthday. They were so nice and so accommodating. We had a party of 7 with two kids and an infant! Since it was a weekday lunch and not too crazy we ended up with the back room to ourselves. Very cozy and as usual food was excellent. They even had a decent kids menu(not on the website but ask for it!). My husband ordered the Mac and cheese burger again which was good but he said it was saucier last time. It wasn’t on the menu but they made it for him on the fly. I ordered the chicken Milanese which was good. I’ve had that a couple of times. Funnel Oreos to die for by the way!

I joined my parents on New Year’s Day for dinner here; they had already been seated when I walked in and more than half of the yummy warm bread and softened butter was missing from our table. Needless to say, a good sign. They started with an iceberg wedge salad, with crispy bacon, tomatoes and fragrant bleu cheese dressing, which turned out to big enough for three portions. Good thing, because it was such a… good thing! I enjoyed(right down to an empty bowl) the chicken milanese, tender strips of breaded chicken with a tasty field greens over top; dressing was delicious. Mom and dad went the red meat way; dad a traditional hamburger, mom the sliders of differing cheeses three. Both registered no complaints and little conversation while polishing them off fairly thoroughly. A three-way split again on the dish of(chocolate and vanilla) ice cream for dessert was a perfect finish. As to this restaurant as a whole: Service is phenomenal; really attentive and polite. Atmosphere is warm and inviting, nice long bar, tables in the main room, and another quiet back room for more seating or parties. The one small drawback is that the prices are a little steeper than other bistros with similar food in these parts. But certainly not prohibitive. I’m sure we will return to Park Place… even if we don’t pass go… LOL, sorry, couldn’t help myself.

I live in NYC, but originally from LI and this is my favorite restaurant of all time! The food is never less than perfect. I get penne vodka almost everywhere I go if they have it and this is hands down my #1 of all time and favorite item on the menu! Steak frites are always delicious as well(fries are super skinny which I love!), and of course the country fried chicken is unbeatable. To start, the short rib nachos are an excellent(and unique) starter to share, as is the sesame calamari and spinach and artichoke dip. All extremely fresh and good sizes to split as an app with 2 – 4 people. Must save room for dessert!!! Fried Oreos are unreal. Perfect to share :) On top of the amazing food, service is always top notch and the staff is super friendly! Perfect neighborhood spot.

My wife and I went this evening and had 2 terrific meals. The salmon dish was really good and the Kobe meatballs were delicious. The spinach and artichoke dip was probably the best I have had!!! I look forward to the lobster blt sometime soon. A terrific neighborhood restaurant that does a great job.
