This place is SO cute. I had breakfast in the bar Saturday morning and our server Hayley was an absolute delight! She was so much fun that she convinced us to come back again the next day for the Sunday drink specials. The Valentine’s Crêpe special was sooooo good and my boyfriend got the steak and eggs and loved it. Definitely will be coming back here the next time we’re in Flagstaff!

One of the worst restaurant experiences I’ve had. Waited 30 minutes for a waiter to even acknowledge us, only excuse was«he was busy». Then we went to order and they were out of sirloin AND not serving sandwiches or burgers. I understand the limited menu but I’m not going to pay $ 25+ for a meal with horrible service and that limited of a menu of steak at a steakhouse. Also, 45 minute wait for food. I would not recommend this horribly run place. I am not going back!

Have been here for breakfast multiple times and dinner once, never been disappointed! I often split my meal, and they are so kind to not charge extra and even split the meal up on separate plates for us. The omelettes are a great breakfast pick, and the dinner steak was amazing too. The soup and salad bar during dinner was also an extremely pleasant surprise! This restaurant may be a by of a drive out of Flag, but it’s definitely worth it.

This was my first time after the remodel. Food is always good, and the place looks really good. Can’t complain about the service, second to none.

Excellent reiteration of a long-time Flagstaff dining establishment, this is a REAL steakhouse. Highly recommended, especially if visiting from out of town.

This is a great steak house that also knocks it out of the park for breakfast! Today my wife and I had breakfast(more than we could eat) for $ 10 each! Can you imagine? I mean great, home-made food at a price that will amaze! A must-do eatery for steak lovers and hearty breakfast eaters!

This place was amazing for breakfast! This is the second time I have been here for breakfast and they knocked it out of the park. Flagstaff breakfast places seem to have a tough time cooking breakfast. Most places have been bland and tasteless if they can even cook eggs all the way. Horseman’s did great. There server Devlin was on the ball and genuinely friendly. Eat here. You won’t be disappointed.

On a recent vacation to Sedona, Arizona, we decided to drive up to Flagstaff for the day. We took route 89A which is absolutely amazing and an must! We searched Unilocal for some advice on where to eat and we found the Horsemen Lodge. we were looking for a place with lots of character and this was it! We arrived around 4, which was between lunch and dinner and were greeted by shelley, who sat us in a wonderful large room with an amazing Christmas tree. A few days earlier we had gone horseback riding so we loved all the western style decorations adorning the lodge. the menu is extensive with something for everyone. We decided to order the sirloin steak dinner. It was probably the BESTSTEAKDINNER my wife and I have ever had! We started with a salad and the largest and most tasteful biscuits you’ll ever encounter, then the steak arrived. It was cooked perfectly and the side of home made beans was fantastic. at the end of our meal we met the owner, a happy and real fun person, and rebecca, the restaurant’s manager and had to tell them how great our meal was. she proceeded to tell us that the Lodge was voted best steakhouse in flagstaff in 2015. We have absolutely no doubt! Do yourself a favor and head out to the Horsemen Lodge and ask for shelley or rebecca. you’ll love it!

Such a great restaurant! Cool interior décor, and a top-notch salad bar. I had the ribeye, and it was one of the best steaks I’ve ever tasted. For my side, I ordered the twice-baked potato, and it was SODELICIOUS! They also have a nice variety of beer on tap. Will definitely come back here next time I’m in town.

We went for the $ 25 per person Thanksgiving dinner yesterday, and it was delicious! No time to cook this year, and luckily we made the decision to do this. All the holiday favorites, well made and the service was excellent. The smoked turkey was amazing. We’ve been there a few other times, and their steaks are the absolutely the best. Really fresh salad bar, and great sides as well. Thank you for being open for us yesterday.

Came on a Tuesday around 6pm as we were staying in Flagstaff for the night and we’re craving a nice, steaky meal post hike. And the Horseman Lodge did not disappoint. The server was nice and pretty attentive. Came to check in on us and filled our waters in a timely manner. Food was good. Friend and I got variations of the ribeye which was really good. Another friend got the NY strip special. It came out a little overly burnt and the fat, while flavorful, could’ve had a better texture. The wings were pretty good. Included with steak(wouldn’t advice getting it stand alone) is the soup and salad bar. Pretty decent salad spread. For soup, just one type and we had tomato basil(with garlic) for the night. Drinks were decent though could’ve been stronger(but that’s just a constant battle most places right). Overall, a nice hearty meal. Would recommend if in the mood for steak.

Gave this place the benefit of the doubt, today. A buddy took me for lunch, to show his appreciation for Veterans Day. Let me start with the waiter: Horseman’s Lodge. The name pretty much explains itself. So, why have a waiter, with absolutely, no people skills, dresses like some Fall Out Boy knock off and wears a rainbow studded belt? Makes sense. This idiot pretty much refused to put ice in my «ICED Tea». Makes sense. When refill time rolls around, the manager actually had to bring me an iced tea… complete with ice. 39 minutes after ordering, our food FINALLY shows up. Again, the food was mildly warm… I’m sure they let it sit on the counter for 20min or so. The 3 groups of people that came in after us, their food came out before ours. Makes sense. Let me add this: Not one Veteran will ask about a Veterans Day discount, unless they’re full of crap and an advocate for Stolen Valor. But, to not honor and put respect, like so many businesses do, that’s pathetic. I don’t care about a discount or free food and drink. But, a Korean War veteran, sitting two tables over, had better be bowed down to. The Horseman’s Lodge… CLOSETHEDOORSONTHISPLACE!!!

Dining at the horsemen lodge was a huge disappointment! The trip advisor and Unilocal reviews are very misleading as I am shocked that they are highly ranked and rated. As an out of towner, I relied on both to help me with dinner choices. We got to the parking lot and were led by a cowgirl on a horse into our parking spot which I thought was a neat thing to do. We got seated in the bar area where they also offer full service however we asked for the dining room and the host said there were no seats available. Yet when I went to the salad bar, there were plenty of empty seats and other folks coming in after us were being seated in the dining room. The waitress was of no help as she wasn’t great at offering any recs. My friend ordered the ribeye special and I got the stuffed trout and subbed the baked potato with sweet potato. The salad bar was nothing spectacular. I don’t know why people raved about it. The only thing that we liked from the salad bar was the tomato basil soup. Actually that was probably our highlight out of our entire meal. The cornbread was dry, bland and not good. The stuffed trout tasted like cafeteria food. Rubbery and the creamy sauce on top of it wasn’t flavorful nor pleasing to the eye to even want to eat. The blue crab stuffing underneath was dry and didn’t even go well with the trout. I think I was supposed to get a side with my entrée and my server never even asked. My friend’s ribeye was not flavorful, dry and she needed steak sauce to eat the steak which is never a good sign. The Mac and cheese was alright. It was very oily and had a spicy kick to it. We definitely don’t think $ 30 for each entrée was worth it and left very disappointed and regretted coming here.

The Horsemen Lodge is a very appealing little place, it reminds you of a Saloon and it is really very neat. The food(we had Steak) is very good. Service was attentive and quick. Unfortunately, the wait time for the food was very long, a Baked Potatoe came out cold. We came right at a time where a bus load of people went in so maybe it was just bad timing.

Judging by all the reviews, I must have just visited on a bad night. Nonetheless, my experience was pretty horrid. It seemed as though our server(also«the manager») was waiting on all the tables, so the wait was pretty high, and also matched the pricing. However the quality of the service and food was on par for the pricing prior to the remodel. Back to the server manager guy: I have never heard«I’m not sure» and«I don’t know» so much from an employee. Most questions resulted in a deer in the headlights look, followed by a story about how he only knows the«back end stuff» The food was okay, but okay does not justify their pricing. The salad bar was delicious, but everything else fell short. Their«energy drink», referred to by the server as «the one with the lizard» was basically green water, and all the steaks were overcooked. Might give it another try one they have more time to train…

The first time I visited Horsemen’s was over 30 years ago under the original ownership. Back then it was THE place for a steak. Since then, Flagstaff has attracted many fine restaurants and Horseman’s fell off my list. I heard that Steve Alvin(Northern Pines restaurant) bought it and refreshed the interior and expanded the menu, so I and eight of my closest friends made a reservation for my birthday recently. The food and service put Horsemen’s right back to the top of my favorite places for steak. Satisfying nine people’s taste buds and service expectations is a challenge, but Horsemen’s hit it out of the park! All but one had steak with ribeye was the popular choice cut. The special that night was a $ 20.00(big bargain) New York strip that thoroughly enjoyed by those who ordered it. The salad bar was fresh and extensive and nearly ruined my appetite for the 14oz ribeye. I can’t wait to head out there for breakfast, lunch or happy hour. There are many restaurants much closer to where I live, but I’ll drive 3 – 4 more miles to enjoy another meal at Horsemen’s.

Oh my goodness, this place was absolutely AMAZING! The service was hands down the best I’ve received since I’ve been in AZ… our waitress Rebecca was the BEST. She was so good to my entire family and spoiled the heck out my two kids. The food was so DELICIOUS!!! When I come back to Flagstaff AZ they will definitely be seeing us again. Thank you to the best staff ever… and the horses were so pretty.

Very nice place, friendly staff and owners. Roomy parking lot and nice clean environment. The salad bar that is included with the entrees is very decent, including soups and cheeses. The presentation of the food was very nice and the ingredients seem to be very fresh and good quality. Hubby had the filet and I had the haystack ribeye, with potatoes au gratin and creamy spinach, respectively. They seem to care about customer satisfaction and that is always a good thing. Our steaks were very good and I think I ended up having 3 meals our of that ribeye :)

14 ounce haystack garlic butter ribeye? Yes, please! Don’t mind if I do. It’s a perfectly cooked ribeye served with very thin slices of onion and zucchini on the side. Yum! When you order this it comes with unlimited soup and salad bar and when I tell you this is probably the best salad bar that’s no exaggeration. Everything is fresh and there’s a large variety of toppings in addition to any lettuce you could possibly want. Our waitress was friendly and not overbearing and the restaurant has a laid back vibe. If you’re looking for a great steak in Flagstaff this is the place to get it!
