Those that rated this place less than 5 stars need to go back New York. This place is an absolute treat every time. The fried fish is to die for. I recommend this to anyone and it is worth the trip if you aren’t near by. The key lime tarter is great and you will want to take a bottle home. Great thing is that it is available to take home in the gift shop. Stay classy lion!

I like the environment. Reggae music and drinks. They have raggae Sunday.
Its right in front of the ocean. Menu are pretty generic casual beach side. Burgers, Nachos, fish and chips, oysters etc…
Bloody Mary wasn’t that great.
Fish and chips were super oily. There were huge amount but I couldn’t eat it.
Burger were also oily and wasn’t cook right. Mid rare was pretty rare.
Bar side is pretty cool tinky bar type.
Dance area is where all the sand area in front of the stage. Feeling like dancing on the beach.
Finn is probably better better when it comes to food.
You can also bring drinks to the beach.

It’s our 2^nd year spending the winter at Flagler Beach. For Christmas my son got on line and found places on Flagler to buy gift certificates. On was to the Golden Lion. What a waste of money! Tried it twice and it was equally awful both times! The first trip was for the so called famous fish tacos. The fish is some farm raised catfish from Vietnam. AWFUL. We went back today to try the panko grilled oysters. I should have sent them back and refused to pay for them. I have never seen oysters so small and tasteless. I was hoping for something great like the ones at Acme oyster Co. In New Orleans but there was no comparison. My wife got a mahi mahi special that was only slightly better than the lousy oysters! Cold and small proportioned for the price.
If you want better food in Flagler go to Rockys pizza, the Turtle Shack, Flagler Fish Company, High Tides Snack Jack, The Tuscan Grill or pretty much anywhere on Flagler Beach. Worst food in 2 years here!!!
