Zaxby’s

Ate in and chicken fingers were very good. Fries came to the table cold. Asked for hot fries and the replacements were just as cold or colder. ‘Nuff said.

Average fast food chicken restaurant right off US 37 in Fishers. When compared against it’s peers there isn’t anything to write home about… not bad but not spectacular either. Service was pleasant enough and food was fine.
My breath was terrible the rest of the day… don’t know if it was the chicken or the fries.

Happy to eat only the chicken tenders here. They are crisp outside, tender & juicy inside, and cooked just right. Very little in the spice department. The sauce was so-​so. They could greatly improve on the French fries. They taste dry and appear to be the standard frozen crinkled fries. C’mon take a lesson from Penn Station or surprisingly even Rally’s has them beat on fries. Slaw was good enough. Toast was a good change to have. My respect for this franchise is higher because the menu includes the calorie count. I wish all would do this so we can watch our waistlines a little easier. Finally I thought the building was attractive and clean at this location and the service was just fine.

I went to this location yesterday for the first time. I’ve been to Zaxby’s in the South a few times. I’ve always loved their food, so I had high expectations going in.
I was not disappointed.
I had the wings and things. It was so delicious. The chicken strips was crispy, the wings were hot enough, the fries were great, and the Zax sauce was tasty. The service was excellent. I am planning to move down to Indianapolis next year, and when I do, I will definitely be eating at this Zaxby’s again and again.

Ehhhhhhhhh. Disappointing. Service was not very good and the place was hectic. Food was nothing to speak of, nothing special… very nondescript. Chicken was blah. just chicken. I expected something a little more jazzy. My mom thought the wings were gross. The toast you get with the chicken isn’t good either. Fries were alright. Everything was just pretty mediocre, so we probably won’t be back.

Absolutely love this place! Every time I visit Indianapolis I make it a point to stop here and grab a meal! Zxaby’s specializes in chicken and it’s easy to see why. My favorite sandwich is the Zxaby’s club… If I’m in the mood for something other than a sandwich Wings and things is where it’s at! High quality, great tasting, excellent customer service! A+!

Zaxby’s as I remember. We had one in Murfreesboro, TN and loved it. Glad to have one in Indiana. It was picky 10 year old approved too.

Best wings ever! Just be sure to get the ones with the bone. Everything they do here they do right — it’s delicious! Also they have super friendly service.

I’m not sure what the fuss is. I wasn’t a fan of the breeding on the chicken or the long wait for dinner. I know the dinners are made to order, however the wait was still ridiculously long. The food seemed extra greasy. I feel like there are many better options for good chicken in the area.

A great place for you if you like good fries, a yummy BLT, and wings. By no means is this place perfect, they still need to work a bit on customer service, but they are all new. Prices are a bit steep, but all in all I was very satisfied. the boneless wings were small, but tasty. The fries were AMAZING! Great seasoning on them! My ZAXBY’S CLUB was very tasty.

I understand that Zaxby’s is new to Indiana, so in looking at some of the reviews I think maybe there’s a little Midwestern confusion going on.
While Zaxby’s has a pretty diverse menu for a quick service food chain, it’s all about the chicken tenders. The only two thing I’ve ever ordered have been the Zax Snack (3 chicken tenders/​fries/​Texas toast) or chicken finger plate (more chicken tenders, fries/​slaw/​Texas toast).
This was in line with every other location I’ve visited — good quick service, great chicken tenders and delicious sauce, and very good fries. It’s not quite as consistent in service and quality as Chick-​Fil-​A, but it’s pretty darn close, and I only wish it was a little closer to me.

We had a coupon for free chicken fingers so we decided to try this new place in our neighborhood. My daughter & I ordered the chicken fingers to share with some sides: onion rings, crinkly fries, & cole slaw. We thought the portions were a bit small, but maybe that’s because we were sharing. The taste was ok, we liked the cole slaw best. We neither liked nor disliked this place. Probably won’t try again without a coupon.

Ok, ummm… I am not sure how to change the location. I didn’t eat at the one in Fishers; it was located just past 86^th & Michigan Rd (INDY).
Nothing about my mouth enjoyed those boneless wings I had… maybe it was that strange, gooey in a bad way, teriyaki sauce I had them tossed in… it had a weird & distinct flavor, not like teriyaki me as i remember it…
Maybe it was that triple dipped, thick and audacious in its presentation, crust. it was deceiving. .these little chicken balls are covered in goo & look decently sized, but when I bit into the top part of one or two, it was all quadruple dipped, thick crust… no chicken. .but that wasn’t the case with all of them, just some.
I just didn’t like it… I tried and I do believe that sauce made a difference. Next time I would just try some regular hot wings but ummm —
I won’t be going back. I think others will like it, but as for me, I’ll pass.
I did like that the food was very hot and fresh, the fries were decent crinkle fries and they were generous on the celery too…
Oh yeah, the Ranch sauce was gross. When I tried to eat them later, I used Hidden Valley… now, when Hidden Valley doesn’t help — …

My husband spoke so highly of Zaxby’s in Atlanta. But this place did not impress me or him.
They do not give the huge portions that their southern stores hand out.
The salads are fresh and taste pretty well with the fried chicken strips. But I will stick to Chickafila for a sandwich and waffle fries.
The sandwiches here are a little too grease for my taste.
But this place stays busy.

First, I LOVE Zaxby’s. But, it’s chained chicken, so I can’t give it a 5-​star review. Still, once this location gets over its grand opening jitters, this will be a must dine place for fast (er) food. Try the Zax sauce on everything fried.

I first tried Zaxby’s many many years ago and made a point to eat there every time I went to South Carolina. It was literally one of my favorite restaurants and I was pumped to see the new location coming to Fishers, just about 2 miles from my house.
We ordered take out the other night and it was overall a big let down. Let me be the first to say that carry out always loses a little magic because of the time delay in getting the food home and unpacked. That aside however, the best thing we had was the crinkle fries. In our order were boneless wings (hot honey mustard and sweet and spicy) and a grilled chicken sandwich. While the sauces were very good, there just wasn’t much sauce on the boneless wings! The boneless wings were small and over breaded and our overall experience left me very disappointed. The grilled chicken sandwich was just ‘average’ and nothing special about it at all.
I wish I could have written that the food was amazing but the service was slow. Those types of problems can be repaired. I just don’t know if there is any hope for the food. I’ll give it another try, but it will probably be a couple of months.

Hoping I can change my opinion of this location after they have been open for awhile.
We went in to order it to go due to the drive thru line wrapped around the building. When we ordered she forgot to tell us it would be a 40 min wait until we got our order! The sled service drink dispenser was empty which created another delay. They didn’t have anyone that knew how to fix it but at least offered to fill drinks behind the counter for customers.
On to the food… The chicken salad sandwich was good and filing. Had a good consistency to it. By the time we got home fries wee still hot. The boneless wings were saucy enough and satisfied what he was looking for. The fried mushrooms were not a favorite of either of us. I think that was mostly due to the batter and they were slices of mushrooms, not the caps. I did appreciate they offer other sides like the mushrooms, fried pickles, fried cheese but it all fried.
Will try it again once the newness of the location wears off. Hopefully that will decrease the wait time since it is a fast food place.

Cold fried pickles, cold chicken, poor service. Bad first impression.
The chicken wings had barely any sauce and were nothing to write home about.
Perhaps they are still trying to work the bugs out since opening.

I first tried Zaxby’s in GA. It was above average.
Over a week after they opened locally, the wait time was still about 30 minutes for dinner. I ate the Big Sak meal which included 3 fried pieces of chicken, seasoned fries, Texas toast and a drink for over $ 5. The chicken was ok, the fries sometimes tasted undercooked, and the toast was a good addition. The 100+ drink selections need to be filled so I tried the Sprite Orange (not the best choice).
I think I enjoy my $ 2.99 (because of my coupon) for Arby’s 3 premium chicken pieces and seasoned fries better than what I ordered at Zaxby’s.
I was interested in trying the Cajun chicken burger and the spicy fried mushroom. So hopefully, I will try them one day on sale.

Good food quick service. This was my first time trying zaxbys reminds me of a chick filet. They cook their chicken very nicely and the buttered buns are great. Also if you like sauces try the zaxs sauce pretty legit.
