Sun Tan City

Im not someone to ever leave a bad review, but I cant help but feel upset enough to leave one. I moved recently and before have been to the sun tan city off Washington St. And everyone there has always been so nice and helpful! Since I have moved, I have started going to this place because it’s alot closer! Tonight, I walked in and overheard how the employee was talking to the woman in front of me when the woman was just asking about a product you might have all that was answered was «I dont know what youre talking about.» And that was all that was said. Then when I check in I get asked what Im doing today and told her I wanted to do the newest violet based spray tan and was told there would be a wait, and the whole time im being talked to is with an attitude. So I paid and waited until it was my turn to go. As I am waiting, the employee shuts everything down and turns off the music so its completely silent and the whole time I feel like an inconvenience. Then the phone rings and she answers and shes talking to a coworker about how someone called off and how she had to take care of everything. So rude and so awkward when Im just sitting there overhearing everything. The employee comes out of the back room and asks me if I just want to do the regular old spray tan instead (which I’ve had done before) and all I answered was «thats fine.» I knew she was trying to get me out of there and now I am just upset at this point. After Im done with my tan, I was walking out and thanked her and she ended the service by saying «c’ya» with an attitude once again. So needless to say, I probably will not be returning here and will drive the extra way to the sun tan city off Washington St.

Hate this place… Supposedly the most well known chain in the area and they close EARLY ON A FRIDAY NIGHT!!! 9pm? Do you understand the clientele you serve??? Clearly not. Really!!! Taking my business elsewhere period. And advising everyone I know that’s interested to do so as well. Very disappointed.

Love the staff, love the hours, love the bed options, love this location :) Was excited to know how many locations they have here when I moved to Indy! Great packages for everyone’s budget, and great offers and deals updated monthly! Check in on your phone app is also a great feature :)

Spray tan booth was very poor quality. Very speckled looking. The worst part was the employees and owner know this and continue to sell this bad service.

I was pale and didn’t want to be, so I came here to tan. The staff members are friendly and helpful. I have been a member for over a year now and continue to come to this location more than any other Sun Tan City. Their prices are reasonable and half price upgrades on the weekend are a nice plus. I appreciate how they don’t try to be pushy and sell me a new product or service every time i visit. I recommend this location to anyone looking to tan.

I always went to Sun Tan City when I lived in Louisville so when I moved to Indy it was only natural that I not change anything. I like that they got their start in my homestate of Kentucky. The people who work at this location are all really friendly and helpful. I usually go when I get off work at 9 at night and I never have to wait. When I’ve gone around 5 – 6 ish it’s pretty busy and the wait can be 20 minutes or so, but it’s clean and nice. And it’s right next to Super Target which is a definite plus.
