Went to Scotty’s Lakehouse last night to grab a burger for dinner and I thought I’d accidentally walked into Chuck E. Cheese’s. I was seated in a booth WAY in the back of the restaurant, right next to the«game room» for kids. Seriously… put up some glass and a door to the«game room» to keep the noise out of the dining area. Nobody wants to go to Scotty’s and hear kids yelling, screaming and running around. Or hear their parents yelling at them to be quiet and to stop running. And the incessant thump thump thump from the Pop-A-Shot game? I could REALLY do without that while I’m trying to relax and enjoy dinner. I expect that sort of thing on the rare occasion that I go to Chuck E. Cheese’s. Did not expect it at Scotty’s and was very disappointed. Service was slow, drinks completely emptied and the server didn’t offer a refill, I had to ask for one. After a long wait, I got the wrong burger. The manager corrected it and took it off of the check. Nice touch, but the slow service and the loud kids(and parents) were over the top. If I am ever seated by the game room again, I will ask to be re-seated. If they don’t have anyplace else for me to sit, I’ll go someplace else. It’s *that* bad.

Came here on a Friday night around 6pm, didn’t have to wait for a table. This place is like Scotty’s Brewhouse only a little smaller and with a smaller menu focusing mainly on burgers. The feel is similar to the Brewhouse with small TV’s at each booth and large flatscreens throughout. I had the veggie burger and sweet potato fries. The veggie burger came with sliced avacado on top, something you don’t often see. My wife had a turkey burger and salad. Both burgers were delicious. They have a good selection of beer on tap like Scotty’s Brewhouse, although not quite as large. I like the atmosphere here better than the Brewhouse. At the Brewhouse, I always get seated in the crowded bar where servers whiz past every few seconds. The booths at the Lakehouse are nice and private. The only thing keeping this from a 5 star rating is the price. $ 42 for a couple of burgers and beers seems a little steep. Its a little more pricey than the Brewhouse. I guess that’s what you get in the high rent district in Geist.

Now this location has a good twist to an old college pub. Great place to watch a game. Not a bad seat around. Appears to be great for families too. Hoping the wine list improves.

The Brewhouse is heads and tails above this place. The food at the Lakehouse is much more expensive and the menu is really uninspired. When going to a place with Lakehouse in the name you would expect some fish options in the menu. Not so. Just burgers and fries. The menu for The Brewhouse has much better options at a much more reasonable price. However, our food has been good, so we’ve returned several times. My biggest gripe is the service. My lord, I am hard pressed to find a place with more idiots employed. When we do go for sit down service there is ALWAYS a clan of 4 – 6 servers and staff gathered around the hostess stand talking. They ignore the patrons and when you interrupt their conversation you tend to get rather nasty looks. To avoid this we opt for curbside pick up, which is actually just as bad. To place an order you usually wait for 5 – 10 minutes on hold, even at non-peak hours – the servers are probably busy talking. The goal of Scotty’s curbside is that you wait in your car and your order to delivered to your car – they even ask your make and model when taking your order. Of the 4 times we have done this not once has our food been delivered to the car. We wait at the curb for 5 minutes and then have to enter the restaurant from the rear, where the car is idling, walk to the hostess stand, interrupt the 4 – 6 socializing servers and ask for our food. The food is always done, but for some reason to languishes behind the bar or on a service station as opposed to being delivered. If Scotty’s wasn’t the only burger joint in the area we would not eat here. It’s just too obnoxious.

I am a Fishers native and big fan of the Scotty’s brand but haven’t been to Scotty’s Lakehouse until tonight! The atmosphere is very similar to the other Scotty’s restaurants, this is a tad darker setting but still very laid back. I got the buffalo chicken dip for an appetizer– SO good! I could have eaten the whole thing as my meal. For my entrée, I got the #11 — turkey burger with salsa, avocado, white cheddar, cilantro and mayo. It was pretty awesome. Very very fresh and the portion was humongous! The best part was the house seasoned fries. They are wedge fries, piping hot and seasoned with parsley, salt, pepper and parmesan. They are definitely on my list for best fries ever! Our server was also very nice and accommodating. The only downside is it’s pretty expensive for a burger($ 13) but, I will say, once you go you will understand the price tag! They don’t skimp on the flavor or the portion.

There’s only one reason to visit Scotty’s Lakehouse: the Thr3e Wise Double IPA. This beer is brewed downtown in Broadripple. If you want some without leaving Fishers, Scotty’s is the only way to get it. They don’t fill growlers, though. That’s it. That’s all they have. One beer. The atmosphere is awful. The televisions boom so loudly, we sit outside. There are mosquitoes in the summer and freezing cold in the winder, but that’s better than being indoors. I inquired anonymous staffers about working in the noisy environment, and a response was«my head spins when I leave». Another said«it takes a couple hours for my head to settle down before I can go to bed». Ugh! The first time I sat at a table indoors, I was ready to leave before the waiter even greeted us. Parking lot has signs about your car being towed if unauthorized. Who’s authorized? Customers? Politicians? Doesn’t say. The food is standard fare. Prices are too high. Nothing to see here. Carry on.

This Scotty’s location is a lake away from a 5 Star rating. One would think that a restaurant with Lakehouse in the name would actually have a view of the lake. It’s probably a solid quarter mile from the lake with no view at all. That said it’s still a solid spot to grab an Indiana Beer and great burger. Yeah the prices are a little high for a burger but your paying for quality. I had the bison burger and it was great. I would def recommend the sweet potato fries as well. One issue I had with our server was that she couldn’t comment on the different types of beer on the menu. She said since she wasn’t 21 she had no idea. She probably should have offered to find out or get someone who could tell me a little about the craft beer selection.

Why does this place not have Thr3e Wise beers? The fries are more memborable than the burgers. Best are the sweet potato fries, then house fries, and finally the Thr3e Wisemen seasoned. I was debating between a #2 and #4, but decided to go with #4 after asking the waitress. She recommended the Ahi tuna which was a surcharge. Overall it was very underwhelming. My friends said the burgers were decent but not worth the price. As I mentioned before, the best part of the meal were the fries.

The burgers are good with plenty of options and different combinations. But, I just like a plain cheeseburger and $ 12 is too much. The mac ‘n cheese options are interesting. The sweet potato fries are AMAZING! Nice atmosphere. The prices are too high. Just not good enough for me to return often due to the price.

I want to like this place. I really do. It’s just that every time I eat here, I wonder why I’m spending $ 12 for a burger and fries. Last night, I ate the #7 burger … a plain burger with Asian slaw, cucumbers jalapenos and cilantro. It was good but it was also kind of «meh» if that makes sense. The burger came with everything it was supposed to; there just wasn’t a lot of any one thing(except cilantro — that was the overpowering taste). I expected a mess of coleslaw on my burger but it probably wouldn’t have been two forkfuls if I ate if off of the burger. Two or three pieces of cucumber and two or three slices of jalapeño. I order the fries mainly for the garlic mayo — and the dipping container the garlic sauce was served in was barely one quarter full. What the hell! My fiancé doesn’t like garlic so I ate his; otherwise I would have asked for more(and that isn’t unusual … I’ve been to the Lakehouse three times and each time at least one person in my party has commented on how skimpy the serving of garlic sauce is). The one burger I really, truly loved was only a monthly special. Blueberries in balsamic vinegar with goat cheese. Heaven. I would order that each time but, alas, I can’t. It was just a sad tease of what could have been … And a pet peeve? Why is it the lakehouse when you can’t even see Geist Reservoir? That’s something else someone in my group always comments on. But, when we left last night, the waiting area was full and people were sitting outside as well, waiting for a table. They must be doing something right.

I’ve enjoyed all of the other Scotty’s establishments and thought this one would be equally as fun. We had a party of 8 and could never find the server — basically forgot about us all evening. The prices aren’t that great either. A burger is about $ 10 without any sides(you order them separately) so be prepared to spend more money for the same about of food as any other restaurant. On the other hand, the burger options are pretty good. Pretty disappointed…

This place is amazing! For fresh, local, organic burgers, the price is a steal! Usually I can look at a menu and figure out what I want pretty quickly, but so many burgers looked good, I could only narrow it down to four. I eventually chose the number 3, a savory concoction of smoked gouda, chipotle ketchup, applewood smoked bacon, and a farm fresh egg. We tried two kinds of fries — the truffle fries were so unique, and the vanilla sweet potato fries, served with marshmallow and caramel sauce, were like dessert! The atmosphere is sleek and cool without being hoity-toity, and our waitress was friendly. No one minded that my party of four chatted for a long time after our plates were cleared away and we had paid. Amazing food and a solid restaurant experience!

A friend of mine took me here about a year ago after it opened. I was pretty impressed. This was Scotty’s first foray outside of their locally famous Brewhouse chain, and they seem to have done well. Rather than offering the full Brewhouse menu, they focused exclusively on burgers, and came up with some rather interesting ones. I highly recommend the truffle fries. My only complaint is that the service was a little slow, but it was a busy weekend so it’s possible it’s improved since.

I just like the brewhouse better. The brewhouse has a bigger menu at far more reasonable prices. While the food was great, I wasn’t a fan of the a la carte menu and there weren’t any prices on the burgers. For my boyfriend and I, we both had two beers each, an appetizer, and both had a burger with fries and our bill was a whopping $ 70. Seriously, I could go to Ruth Chris and get a filet for that cost. Also, the family side was just a bit much. I was afraid to go to the ladies room for fear I might trip over a child. It appears to me that this is where the rich Geist families go with their kids. I never saw so much plastic surgery and fake boobs in my life. I wasn’t impressed with the waitress. It was good food and nice to celebrate my friend’s birthday, but next time, we’ll save gas and go to the brewhouse. Also, I was very dissappointed that it’s not even on the lake. How can you call yourself a lake and not even have a lakeview? Can we say false advertising?

Oh my stars, where do I begin? The S’more-tini? I polished that off in about three minutes . The ahi tuna salad, seared to perfection? The lobster bisque? It comes out first with the lobster in the cup and then the bisque poured over it so you know just how much meat you’re getting(which was pretty substantial, especially for $ 3). The vanilla sweet potato fries? With marshmallow fluff to dip them in? Scotty’s is very marshmallow-centric, and I ain’t mad about that. The burger with Swiss cheese, mushrooms and caramelized onions? Il ordered it medium and I got it medium. The excellent service we received from both our bartender and our adorably perky waitress? Really, there’s just too much to love about Scotty’s Lakehouse. My only gripe is that everything is a la carte, which gets a bit expensive, especially when everything sounds and looks so good. Oh, and the buns are kind of mooshy(although it could have been on account of the grilled mushrooms and onions). But those are small gripes, as we live far enough away that Scotty’s will only be a very occasional night out for us and will be worth every penny. (And how could anyone complain about a place serving only Indiana beers? I think it’s pretty awesome that our little state is starting to hold its own in the world of microbrewing. The man got a New Albanian Smoked Porter and had to go back for seconds.)

First off, the Lakehouse sets itself apart from other restaurants by being a green establishment. They compost their waste, used recycled materials where possible and get their produce and meat from local vendors. This gets three stars all on its own. If you haven’t seen Food, Inc yet, you should, it will change the way you think about restaurants and the business of food in general. Aside from catering to the crazy hippie inside us all, the Lakehouse scores points with discerning burger aficionados. They have an interesting selection of meats that include bison and elk and have interesting toppings to match. Last time I was in, I had the«#7». It was a burger topped with coriander spice, cilantro, jalapeños, Asian carrot slaw, cucumber and a sriracha garlic mayo. My only gripe was that the toppings were a little scarce, there could have been a lot more cilantro on my burger! It was a delicious treat along side the house fries covered in sea salt and black pepper. The accompanying sauces for the fries were delicious as well. The pension for local doesn’t stop at the food. The Lakehouse also has a nice selection of local beers that are bound to please any beer geeks out there. Overall, the Lakehouse is a really nice establishment that caters to the conscientious eater. I suspect we are paying a slightly higher price for this luxury.

Four words: VANILLA. SWEET. POTATO. FRIES. Those alone earn 5 stars from me. But honestly, how much you like Scotty’s Lakehouse is really patron-specific. I actually prefer it to Scotty’s Brewhouse. Yes, the menu is limited, but I feel like the food is of better quality and something different than your average fare. We’ll start with the burgers. You have a selection of meats! Beef, elk, bison, and turkey(and veggie, of course). They have a menu of 17 or so burgers, but you can substitute any of the above protein in each burger without any charge. Now the fries. Order the Vanilla Sweet Potato Fries. Just do it. Those alone will keep you coming back. They give you a trio of sauces that differ from visit to visit. Last time they gave us a caramel dipping sauce, chipotle ketchup, and marshmallow sauce. Yum. And the beer. I enjoy places that serve local food and beverages, which is probably why I appreciate the Lakehouse more than the Brewhouse. But, to each his own. FYI, Thursday = $ 424oz mug night — and you do NOT have to purchase the mug like you do at the regular Scotty’s. Can we say Sun King Cream Ale galore? Yes. We can. So, that’s my opinion. Give it a try — you’ll either like it more or less than the original, but it is definitely worth going to at least once. Plus, they have ½ off appetizers after 10pm everyday. So, if you want to watch a West Coast sporting event, it’s a good choice!

I heard about Scotty’s Lakehouse from my boss because we are both lovers of locally grown produce and meat and care for the environment and Scott’s offers all of this and more. Their creed is prominently displayed on the front of their menu — «We source as many products as possible locally, from Indiana farms and businesses. Our food waste is composted and all paper, glassware and plastic are recycled.» I am in! Despite being located in a strip mall, I think they did a great job with the space inside and even managed a small outdoor seating area. As you walk in the door, I felt a big difference in atmosphere — turn left and you are heading towards the family side and turn right and you head towards the bar/club side. We were seated on the family side but I think I would request the bar side next time though both are very nice. The food — the big draw is their burgers and do they ever offer some unique options. I had the #1 — fresh mozzerella, organic chimichurri pesto and balsamic marinated tomatoes, my husband, the #12 — a turkey burger with Indiana smoked gouda, apple slice, apple wood smoked bacon and beer infused spicy brown mustard. We shared a basket of the house fries which are covered in sea salt, black pepper and a touch of garlic. Everything was wonderful and while the ingredient might sound like odd combinations for a burger, they all melded together very well. I love a ton of ketchup on my burger and I didn’t need to add one drop. Scotty’s Lakehouse is definitely worth a look — they have a great drink menu and advertised bands starting at 9pm on weekend nights. I am not sure where the comments come from about Scotty’s being expensive — only $ 8 for a 6 ounce burger and another $ 3 for the house fries — in my world, that is a steal for this kind of quality!

No it’s not cheap but they serve high quality food and I will gladly pay more for that. Seems like they try to get as much locally grown food as possible, which is pretty cool. Though we have wondered if there really is anyone raising buffalo in Indiana. I know this is a stupid etail to notice but I’m a graphic design nerd so I gotta point out something I find cool: They use brown paper table coverings and use 2 giant wood stamps to print the burger menu and a logo on the paper before setting the table. Such a cool idea — it takes the servers a little longer to re-set a table because of it but in my opinion, the uniqueness factor makes it worth it. The giant towels instead of napkins is a nice touch too. Did I mention they serve food? The little deep fry basket loaded with potatoes and bacon bits and cheese — I don’t know what they call it but I call it a delicious heart attack in a basket. The tomato soup might be some of the best I’ve ever had — yeah tomato soup! What’s so big about tomato soup? Try it here and you’ll see what I mean. I didn’t have the bison burger(or is it buffalo? I can’t remember) but several people that dined with us had it and they all raved about them — best burger they’ve had(well, next to kobe beef burgers). Being pregnant and unable to have beer(sob) the fresh lemonade with blueberry flavoring added is a pretty good alternative to boring old water. I kinda want one now just because I’m thinking about it. mmm… lemonade.

This is basically a sports bar serving non-traditional bar food. I enjoyed the fried pickles and the burger. The loaded fries were also a hit. A plethora of televisions makes this place great for watching your favorite sporting event. Just as a note — this place is not on the lake it is a few blocks away in a strip mall.
