No amount of pseudo-trendy décor could save this hotel from the incompetency and indifference of its staff. I arrived with a large group for a week stay, and there were troubling sings from the get go. The whole second floor(and the lobby area near the elevator) smelled strongly of raw sewerage. This was not the fallout from an impressive crop dusting by a regular Taco Bell patron. This was something far more permanent, and lasted for about four days. It got better only after we saw a septic truck outside. The staff are absolutely indifferent. The bathroom floor, especially the shower, was coated with a slimy film that had me wishing for shower sandals. The TV was missing about half the channels, including all sports. When contacting the front desk about the lack of TV, we were told«it’s a known issue.» Every time I passed the housekeeping staff in the hallway I was met with cold stares, even though I smiled at them. I blame this squarely on the management. I was in the lobby when there was a staff meeting in a meeting room, and could clearly hear through the half-opened door the manager literally screaming at all of the staff and threatening them all with termination if they so much as burped in front of a guest. The pool is filthy, the hot tub was obviously too much of a hassle because they just filled it in with concrete. The décor and wallpaper is peeling off everywhere. The last few days of our stay, there was about half of the breakfast items out that should have out. I went into the kitchen to ask if they had any more yoghurt and was frankly appalled at how dirty it was. On our last day there was no breakfast, and we were informed that one of the managers had quit that morning. I expect way, way more from a holiday inn express. Namely that everything should be just OK, not luxurious. All I expected was competence, and this hotel didn’t even come close to that low bar.

Clean, comfortable and convenient. Helpful staff and a decent breakfast buffet. Our room had a cute porch that would be fun in better weather. Huge bathroom with separate tub and shower AND walled off toilet. Best feature-adjoining room w/sofa sleeper for our son. Great for families.

Really nice for a holiday inn express. The hotel used to be a Hotel Indigo so it is definitely a unique hotel. Good water pressure in the room and the beds are comfy. Only downer is no bar or restaurant… fortunately there is. Hilton garden inn right next store with bar and restaurant

Staff needs retrained. Long line at check in…3 staff helping one man make a phone call to set up his reservation for the night… when finally get waited on, I didn’t receive my priority perks whereas the woman beside me did… morning shower was not hot… nice property otherwise… comfortable and clean… asked front desk for directions and they said they were new and didn’t know… they didn’t even try to find someone who knew… retrain your staff…

What I liked about this hotel. Comfortable, with bare floors which means cleaner than carpets, spacious rooms, good wifi connection, and a breakfast that included omelets and sausage patties(protein). I also loved being able to have my dog with me, but I think they’ve stopped allowing dogs since I made my reservations in October ‘12 What I didn’t like was thin walls and floors/ceilings. If a hotel goes bare floor, they need to make sure the floors and ceilings are solidly built and thick — because every footfall, every suitcase on wheels can be heard in the room next door, or below. I had to change rooms because of the noise level above me.

Stayed here for one night after a wedding on Saturday evening. As far as I am concerned, the hotel was clean and the bed and pillows were comfortable. I am pretty easy to please as far as accommodations go because I am mostly just there to sleep. Initial check in was fast, easy, and friendly. Fresh Otis Spunkmeyer cookies in the lobby. I can’t speak for the pool or the free continental breakfast as I did not utilize either. I did knock the Holiday Inn down a star due to the second check in I took part in later in the evening. Upon arriving back to the hotel around 11pm we had more folks with us and therefore required another room. After checking in we were told that if we were«too noisy and rowdy I will be forced to call he cops.» Whatever buddy. Apparently several 28 – 30 year olds walking in with a case of beer spelled trouble. I took 5 of their Otis Spunkmeyer cookies after the rude comment and proceeded to use my bottom floor window as a door and invited others to do the same as I passed out my party beers to fellow wedding goers.

Your typical Holiday Inn Express– shower heads, cinnamon rolls. But too close to the noisy interstate highway for good sleep.
