Their Kalbi is the best! Beef was tender and had just the right amount of char on it! Spicy squid was decent too… we will be back = HAppy tummy

Pretty good! Great service, nice food. I’m not sure i found the thing on the menu to make me say WOW, but I thought everything we tried was decent. Atmosphere was nice and clean. Dumplings were nice, they brought out some complementary pancakes, and we tried some meat dishes. I would go back!

Legit dolsot bibimbap. As good as Houston. Prices are a few dollars higher than I’m used to paying, but it’s Indy. Will be my go to Korean eatery when I visit.

File this under the category, «Hidden Gem» Unpretentious little café in a nondescript strip mall with DELICIOUS food! — Veggie dumplings: Cooked to perfection, 5 stars — Veggie pancakes: Beyond perfection, 6 stars(on a 5-star scale) — Bulgogi Beef with rice and veggies served in a steaming hot stone bowl: Totally having this again, 4.5 stars — Green tea ice cream: Off-the-scale good. I would go there just to get this ice cream. Subtle flavor with just a hint of green tea essence. The generous sides(bean sprouts, Kim chi, turnips, etc.) were tasty, as well. It should be noted that the service was friendly and — personalized. Our waitress was GENUINELY interested in our opinions of the food and, though it appeared she was the only server that evening, her service was quite attentive.

Seafood pancake was cooked nicely, a bit more seafood to give seafood flavors would have been better. YukKe Jang –spicy beef with veg & noodle was delious! They pickle their own sides, cucumbers, bean sprouts, spinach and Daikin Kimchee mmmmmmmm good!

Okay I have to admit we ate it all before we thought about taking any pictures. That should tell you something. We started with the dumplings and they were cooked perfectly and awesome. Which was followed by a vegetable pancake. Wow. Perfectly cooked not greasy with the same amazing dipping sauce from the dumplings. I ordered the chicken dol sot bi bim bap which is chicken fresh veggies overs steamed rice with an egg on the top. Searched in a hot stone pot served with a hot sauce. Yum!!! The broth seeps into the rice giving it an amazing flavor. The fresh veggies are cooked the right amount while still retaining just a little crisp. Every thing was on point. Sides of bean sprouts, Kim chi, turnips, etc. Service was great, very personable! If you want to try something new in a comfortable environment come give this a try!

It has been such a treat to have a good Korean food restaurant close to where I live. I have visited several times over the last year and have been happy with everything I have tried. Service has always been consistently good, with the servers being attentive and courteous. I have tried my go-to favorite Korean dishes, including the seafood pancake, spicy squid, and dosol bibimbap, and all have been delicious and filling. Before the entrees arrive, guests receive a small salad, a portion of potato pancake, and a small selection of panchan(usually different types of pickled vegetables). A dish of fruit follows with the check. Most recently I ordered the Soon Dubu seafood tofu stew. The tofu was soft and very flavorful. I ordered the medium level of spiciness, but it was not spicy enough for me. The stone bowl was chock full of tofu, tender veggies, and seafood, and I could only finish about half of it since I was so full. Overall, one can rest assured knowing that whatever one orders at Café Korea will be tasty and filling. I did find the place to be a bit on the pricey side, as each dish was about $ 4 – 5 more than I expected compared to what I have seen at other Korean restaurants I have visited in California and Texas. Still, I will be back to try some other intriguing dolsot dishes and appetizers that I saw on the menu!

I am half Korean, my mom lives in another state, and I only know how to make a handful of Korean dishes so I NEED a place to get my comfort food fix. This is my favorite Korean spot in Indy. In my opinion, it rivals some of the Korean food you can find in Chicago although the food in Chi-town is a bit cheaper. I love the food so much, I have thought about calling the owner and asking if I could exchange my labor for kim bap and a chance to learn how to make more dishes. Nyam nyam nyam! Anyhow, definitely try this place out.

This not so hidden gem is a great place for a quiet meal. I ended up with the Dol Sot Bi Bim Bop(Shredded vegetables & beef in a hot stoneware pot with rice and hot sauce). The hot sauce that came with it was more sweet than hot, but I liked that it gave the dish a little extra flavor. The meal came with a salad with ginger dressing, a sampler of cooked veggies with a slightly spicy sauce, and fruit for dessert. In all, my lunch cost under $ 12. There was only one waitress working, so service was a little slow, but the food made up for it. If you are looking for good Korean food in the Fishers area, this place is worth trying out.

Friendly service(esp. for a Korean restaurant) and the closest to home-cooked Korean food I’ve had in town. Basic selection of side dishes, not overly salted like other places. Worth the drive from downtown.

Great little Korean restaurant! Dinner comes in 4 – 5 courses. The first course is a tiny salad. The second is a Korean pancake with a soy sauce dipping sauce. The third course is an appetizer, if you chose to order one. We ordered the kimbap, and it was great! Next is the entrée course. I ordered bibimbap, my father ordered bulgogi. I highly recommend both of those menu items to anyone who is unsure of what to order. Along with the main entrée comes four small side dishes; cucumber in a spicy sauce, Korean-style spinach, Korean-style bean sprouts, and the classic kimchi. Lastly, a small dessert of two pieces of fruit. I loved every bite of the meal, and am looking forward to returning to try the galbi!

Not bad. Compare to my recent trip in LA and NY, this wasn’t bad. Place was small but clean and well decorated. 4 side dishes were disappointing but all were fresh and good. Bi Bim Bop was hot but below average meat content. Owner/waitress was funny and service was great. I had low expectations for Korean but being in Indy I thought it was good so 4 stars.

My entrée with the veggies, beef, and egg in a stone pot was delicious. It was spicy, crunchy, sweet, and savory. It was filling, and it was presented beautifully. We were served salad and a pancake before our meal and were given fruit at the end. All for free. Generous hosts and friendly service. Prices were appropriate. I’m happy to live in a town that offers awesome Korean food, as well as excellent Indian(India Sizzling) and Mediterranean(Al Basha).

I love you, Café Korea! The Kimchi Stew is satisfyingly fiery, with lovely cubes of tofu, plenty of veggies, and pork. The dol sot bibimbop is delicious; all of the ingredients are impeccably fresh. It’s always a pleasure to dive into that hot stone bowl of goodness. Try the dumplings for a starter as they are crisp on the outside with a flavorful filling. You may not need a starter, however, since all meals begin with pieces of Korean seafood pancake to share, along with salads. In true Korean style the meals come with numerous kimchis and pickled veggies to enjoy alongside of your main course. The ginseng tea is delicious, but plenty of Korean beers like OB are on offer. There is always an older woman working the back when we go, and I feel like a wonderfully skilled Korean granny is taking care of us, warming us with her hearty food.

I went to café Korea for lunch the other day with my DH. The place was packed, and the busy waitress provided excellent service. We ordered a seafood pizza that was served quickly and was delicious. It was an appetizer that we decided to share for our meal. There was not quite enough shrimp and seafood to completely satisfy my DH, but there were plenty of delicious veggies all blended together for a terrific combination. I wanted to get the chicken or Beef Bulgogi again, but that will have to wait until next time. My only complaint is that the prices are a bit higher than I want. Still, I’m so glad to have such a gem in Fishers, and hope others who enjoy Asian food try it out. The location is in a strip mall near Krogers, so it doesn’t look special on the outside. On the inside it’s modest, but well kept and clean.

I decided to try this place after reading the consistently positive Unilocal reviews and was not disappointed. (Disclaimer: this was only the second time I have eaten in a Korean restaurant in the past decade. The first time I accidentally made my food so spicy that I cried — so I wasn’t quite sure what I was in for this time around.) I decided to order the dolsot bibimbop(shredded vegetables and beef in a hot pot over rice) because it came highly recommended by fellow Unilocalers and it sounded delicious and simple. With the addition of several rounds of Sriracha, this meal was incredibly satisfying and I’m already thinking about when I can return and order it again! My three fellow diners ordered the dolsot bibimbop, the wang gal bi(korean bbq short ribs), and yukke jang(beef + vegetables in spicy beef broth, at the recommendation of the waiter). Our waiter even brought us a complimentary appetizer sampler of pickled/spicy vegetables and juicy watermelon for dessert. Everyone left satisfied!

In a word, outstanding. Food was piping hot and delicious. Everything tasted like it was made from fresh, quality ingredients. The service was very courteous, attentive, fast. My family ordered kimbop, bindaetuk, bulgogi, wang gal bi, and grilled chicken. I would recommend all of these items. The beef was tender and flavorful. Ditto for the chicken. We were asked how spicy we would like the chicken; we like a good amount of heat so we said medium spicy. It was just the right amount. We will definitely be coming back!

Yes, this place really is that amazing. Excellent service, which includes three courses of complimentary veggie/egg pancake; cold sides of noodles, veggies, and some kind of pickled root vegetable; and after-dinner fruit. The fried dumplings were perfect. The Bibimbap was outstanding. This is worth the drive to Fishers from anywhere, we’ll certainly be making it regularly.
