I was a fan of Cooper’s Corner, but for the record it has closed under this name. The location, as a restaurant, is open under a new name and perhaps new management. If and when I get to review the new concept, I will add my review under the new name.

This place was very conveniently located whn we were in the area, so we stopped in. It was okay. Service was friendly, but food could have been better. Cheese curds were over cooked(all the cheese had escaped the fried breading). I would not recommend the stacked veggie sandwich.

Went here last summer(2014), sat on the outdoor 2nd floor for drinks & dinner. Great atmosphere & location. Enjoyed the food & local wines that were offered. Wonderful memory! Was looking forward to returning next week, but when I just saw the website, it says«PERMANENTLYCLOSED». How depressing. I certainly hope that a worthy business can take over this incredible space!

This place and Summertime might be the only places I have been to in door county that I will never go to again. Absolutely disgusting drinks. No working knowledge of the bar or regular menu by staff members. I have never tended bar or waited tables but I know I could walk in there and do a better job.

Even in the off season, we had a great time with Yergie today. The drinks were good, she was very helpful with wines, and we enjoyed talking to her about her life and goals. She loves her job, has a great outlook on life here, and loves being in America. What a wonderful employee. We will be back.

I have been here numerous times and I have never had a bad meal. I like being able to sit outside on the upper deck. They have large heaters when it is chilly. The salads are great. Just had the Mac & Cheese last night. Flavorful, spicy, cheesy… yum! It is a must after shopping in Fish Creek.

A nice establishment located next to The Barrel Room in the heart of downtown Fish Creek. Outdoor balcony seating allows for a view of beautiful Door County. Service was solid, but left something to be desired. Food was tasty, though quantities were not appropriate for the high prices. Despite its handful of shortcomings, Cooper’s Corner provides an overall enjoyable dining experience.

My husband and I both enjoyed our dinner here the other night. He had salmon and I had whitefish with an amazing sauce. Friendly service.

Won’t come here again. Ordered the broiled whitefish and my daughter ordered the Cherry ribs. It’s a real ala carte menu alright. no salad or cole slaw with the meal. The Ribs were undercooked had to ask the waitress for tarter sauce because the fish was tasteless. $ 56 of total disappointment.

Service was fine but the food was uncooked sent back and raw again. We will not be patronizing this establishment again.

We stopped here as our last stop on a busy day of drinking and fantasy football drafting. Truthfully, I’m not sure how I ended up here. As I said, lots of drinking was done before this. But, we had a good time here. The outdoor bar/restaurant area was really nice. We didn’t eat but the food looked good. Drinks were also ok, I wouldn’t say cheap but not too pricey for how nice it is. I will definitely come back here next year and give it a better shot since I’m intrigued.

I feel like my time at Cooper’s Corner could have been much better. It is a shame that the experience wasn’t great because the food was good. We sat down to have our dinner inside because we did not care if we sat inside or out. It took 30 minutes to get service. The only reason we were noticed was because we went to the bar to say we weren’t served. Through all of that we got no apology. I wasn’t looking for a free meal or anything, but the manager could have come up to us to at least apologize. Service from that point on was fine and our waitress did a good job. After our meal I went up to the manager to talk about my disappointment and he claimed he didn’t know we weren’t served. However, I saw him directing the waitress to our table when we complained. He seemed fake and non apologetic. It sounded like he could care less if I come back because he know others will still come. I have come to Door County for over 15 years and never had service quite like here. With so many options to choose from, I won’t be recommending the place or going back any time soon.

I’ve been meaning to write this review since we got back in June 2013. This place is beyond amazing. After walking by this place several times being in Door County, my husband and I decided to stop and check it out. We were not disappointed. We started in the Barrel Room downstairs, doing some wine tasting and trying their flavored vinegars and oils. Everything was delicious, so we decided to head upstairs to the outdoor bar. The bartender, Daniel, welcomed us and tried to guess our drinks. He was wrong but that didn’t matter. My husband tried one of Daniel’s famous sangrias and was extremely happy with his choice. I had the blackberry Merlot that I had tried downstairs. Long story short, we stayed for several hours enjoying several different drinks, including a pineapple mojito that was AMAZING! Daniel kept us entertained with jokes and card tricks and made sure we were well taken care of. He made every drink with great care and perfection. He took real pride in his work and it definitely showed. We met a lot of interesting people that came and went while we sat there. Even the staff was laughing and jovial. We did try some of their food which was also wonderful. I had a southwestern soup and flat bread and both were delicious. I can’t remember what my husband had, I believe it was a burger, but he really enjoyed it. We actually left for dinner and came back afterwards for a nightcap. Hubby had a grasshopper and I had a wonderful coffee drink. I truly could go on and on about this place but you really have to try it yourself and experience it. We are heading back to Door County at the end of August for our anniversary and we can’t wait to head back to Coopers Corner. Hope Daniel will be working!!!

If you ask for my opinion, Cooper’s Corner is not only in Door County’s best town of Fish Creek, but also wins best bar in town! Bartender Daniel is extremely talented. Between his hysterical stories and wide variety of well-mixed drinks that are served up, it’s the perfect way to enjoy an evening with free entertainment. We came here two evenings in a row and found the same people sitting at the bar, making friends and being treated to free drinks(thanks to them). One was even the town doctor! I rave about his own alcoholic creation, the Snicker’s martini(see it here: ). You’ve got the chocolate(Godiva, to say the least), caramel, cream, and amaretto nougat. The martini is even finished off with salt on the rim to give you the salty taste found in the peanuts! A perfect dessert drink. Cooper Corner’s large outdoor patio with a fountain, plants, and heat lamps couldn’t be more perfect. Not to mention, it was one of the few places in town I could find free Wi-Fi. Triple Score!

One of our regular stops when visiting Door County. I’m hooked on the meatloaf(my gf calls me the Comfort Foodie). It is a stack of fried onion straws atop horseradish mashed potatoes, then a great charred piece of meatloaf, and all that on top of a bed of stuffing. And don’t worry, there are plenty of ways to walk off the calories in Door County. Service is always friendly and the open air deck can’t be beat. And plenty of indoor seating when needed. The gourmet food shop downstairs has some tasty offerings, too. I recommend the Hell’s Kitchen Habanero Hot Sauce. A little goes a long way.

I must say that Cooper’s Corner looks like a total dive bar, but sits like a classy restaurant. I was impressed! Going in here was mostly on a whim because the restaurant we wanted to go to was closed. In contrast, things could not have worked out better. First off the service was exceptional, honest, and very observant to the meal. We started with the appetizers, which I have to warn are enormous portions. Ordered the fried pickles, which were awesome. Warning: it must have been a pound of pickles or more. They also serve some sort of bread appetizer which is also equally great. Drink selection is good, their bloody mary is well made and included a nice kick. Then we get to the meal itself. I ordered the Jambalaya, and it was excellent. Cooper’s Corner menu seems to be just slightly all over the place in terms of menu options, but their Jambalaya was as excellent as every other notably good jambalaya I have ever had. Wifey had the grilled vegetable stack, which in addition to looking good — tasted amazing. We had a dish somewhat like that in mexico, but with a little less bread. Needless to say, even if the outside looks like crap(it does), and the inside looks like a crappy dive bar(it does), the food and service are well worth it.

I came here back in April 2012 and I don’t know if I would go back. Service was okay because sat at the bar so it was quick. The bartender was nice but a bit chatty — all I wanted to do was sit at the bar and read a book(I know… lame) The food was okay… there was nothing spectacular. I think I have had better food elsewhere in Door County. The price for the food though doesn’t make sense because it seemed on the expensive side.
