After lunch, or on a hot summer day, I usually like to enjoy a little sweet treat. Now most ice cream/frozen yogurt places are going to be staffed by teenagers only working there to get some spending money for the summer and don’t usually care or are knowledgeable about the product they are serving, but the cashier at this place seemed to know her stuff even when I presented her with a buy one get one free coupon. This place would not be very cost effective otherwise, being that they charge $ 4.00 for a tiny little 4 ounce cup. The flavors where exotic with white chocolate mousse, pink lemonade, and some coconut almond one, among other regular flavors like chocolate and the like. The toppings did not look fresh or rotated, especially the fruit, you could tell they just add new on top of the old, since the old peach slices that were brown and slimy were mixed with the new fresh yellow ones. Besides the dripping fro-yo dispenser that had a out of order sign on it, this place was fairly clean and organized. The one cool thing about this place is that they have color changing spoons. regularly they are pink, but dip them in the cold and they change to a purple/grey color.

If I were to have a «thing» it’s all things ice cream/gelato/fro yo related. If I see a fro yo joint, you KNOW I’m going to check it out. Ice cream? I’ve probably already been there. I live close so I’ve been to this particular TCBY a handful of times. Initially I was SO disappointed. Many of their flavors were«icy», NOT at all the smooth and creamy texture we’d become accustomed to at TCBY(particularly the chocolate). This has since changed. They’ve become much more consistent on the texture of their frozen yogurt. Mostly, it’s creamy and decadent… texture in ice cream and frozen yogurt is CRUCIAL. They’re well on their way to perfecting this. Generally, they always have an almond milk-based flavor and one or two sherbet-esque flavors as well. They don’t have as many of the«fun» flavors as other TCBY locations — I’ve been keeping an eye out for the Banana Fosters flavor because it’s amazing. But I’m hoping with time, they’ll experiment more. The toppings are always well-stocked and organized neatly. It seems that they switch it up occasionally — the classics are always there, but every once in a while you’ll see a new item. Kind of cool. They seem to do a great job keeping it clean, though I will note that if you go in late, close to closing time, you may get a bit of a stink-eye. Just sayin’. 3.5 out of 5 stars… giving the benefit of the doubt. Because I’m nice like that.
