I’m writing this review based off of the lake, the party barge experience. My family and i rented a party barge for labor day and it was as good as it gets! We rented a party barge which had grills and a porta john which was absolutely awesome!!! I hate porta johns but i was very shocked on how clean this one was! they sure do clean up after each party which is awesome! The lake was very nice and gorgeous! only downfall is that they make you pay for the gas whenever you return the boat. i think it’s dumb considering they charge $ 500+ for the barge, it should be included but that’s just my opinion anyways. our family decided that this could be our annually thing to do every labor day/summer.

Overall a pretty nice marina. However, the lady that runs the place(Elsey or Elsa) is about the most unfriendly and most unprofessional person I have ever met. We made a reservation for a boat slip two months in advance and our credit card was charged $ 144. Upon arrival, Elsa told us that we did not have a reservation and that there were no available slips after we had driven over three hours to get there. She said with out our original receipt for the reservation there was nothing she could do for us. So we called our neighbor at our home and had her go to our house and take a picture of the receipt that was sent to us from Findlay Marina. After showing this receipt to Elsa, miraculously a boat slip was available for us! What a joke. After staying at the marina for two nights and talking with other people at the marina, we found out that many slips were still available(over 10). Again, the marina itself is pretty nice but I would not go again just because of our dealings with Elsa. When you make a reservation with a place like this you expect to have that reservation when you arrive. Its just too risky not knowing if they are going follow-through on their promise after driving all that way. Someone told us she was the owner’s wife. She asked like she could really care less about her customers. It’s really too bad… she needs to take a class on basic customer service skills.
