What an incredible place! Kessa, the owner, is just sweet as pie and so hard working! She arranged my box of goodies beautifully on top of it all. Everything she let everyone sample was so delicious especially the oranges and honey. Tom the Turkey following me around while I picked some avocados was fun too. Geez, what a charming place!

Not a day goes by that I don’t wish to be lounging at The Green Oasis. Farm fresh food, gorgeous animals and the fresh air make this just one of my favorite places to visit. Kessa, the owner is one of the sweetest yet hardworking women you will ever meet. Bring your kids and enjoy picking fresh fruits and vegetables, collecting eggs right from the hen house or petting one of many animals. Spending the afternoon at The Green Oasis is sure to bring back your tranquility and peace of mind all while giving you an experience you will definitely want to come back for. I can not say enough about this place. I would pack my bags and move in if I could… Don’t wait… grab your friends and family and head there for a weekend getaway.

This place needs more attention! Perfect day out for kids! But in my case my mom. She LOVED it! We were able to hand pick avocados, tangerines, oranges, and even eggs! Also, you get the chance to feed goats(they don’t bite!), a HUGE pig!!, chickens, ducks, and I’m sure there are much more… but I was more interested in the eggs! We are used to pure white or brown eggs from the market but these beautiful natural colored eggs are something else! I’ll def coming back!!! And YES! Kessa — the owner is a doll!

Brought my daughter’s here last week and had such a great time. The owner is so nice! She showed us a round a bit and then let us go explore on our own. So many animals to meet and feed, the turkey cracked us up following us everywhere we went. We had so much fun picking oranges and lemons, and fresh eggs! Can’t wait to return.

I’ve now visited the Green Oasis five times and have been wanting to write a review since the first time I’ve been there. This place is amazing. The first time I contacted Kessa was to pick up some fertilized chicken eggs for my son’s first grade classroom. I went home with some very tasty tomatoes, bay leaves, and a dozen fertilized eggs. All but one hatched and we ended up with four chicks. We’ve since visited this happy animal home with its goats, peacocks, pig, horses, geese, turkeys, dogs, rabbits, and not to forget chickens several times to pick up more fertilized eggs, alfalfa, and hay for our own crazies(aka chickens). Kessa is very knowledgable and helpful. We’ll be back soon.

Such a fun & fulfilling experience! My husband, my service dog and I went here over the weekend to get some of their overstock lemons(which are free right now) but after 3 hours there, we didn’t want to leave! We bought some organic eggs, and Kessa, the owner, gave us a small discount because I gave her some awesomely healthy dog treats. They have a very friendly Royal Palm Turkey(not the kind of turkey for eating) named Turkey Tom, who’s so friendly, he’ll dance for you! Tom will basically escort you(aka follow you) around the property. It’s a somewhat skinny land plot, but it stretches back far! The owners are so amazingly hospitable and all of their animals are so funny and each one of them has their own distinct personality. They have a really cute big pot belly girl pig, 3 horses, one smaller Shetland mini pony and a donkey who also kinda dances by doing this cute little swaying motion. This place is truly so awesome. It’s Americana at its very best! Needless to say, We’ll be going back soon & bringing friends!

THESHORTVERSION: 1) Farm fresh(and dare I say, the BEST I’ve ever had) eggs and produce that you pick yourself at an extremely reasonable price. 2) Adorable and friendly(albeit noisy, but hey you’re walking in on their party) animals, most of which you can feed and pet with the farm owner’s permission. 3) Kessa(the farm owner) is very sweet, accommodating and just plain AWESOME. She really cares about making every visitor’s experience to her farm a positive one, whether they’re there just to buy hay or, like us, there to pretend that we’re not blatant city girls who can’t hang in the country. GOVISIT. THEWHOLESTORY: I’m actually extremely torn writing this review. On one hand, I want to promote my girl Kessa and all the wonderful things that she does and grows on this little bit of country paradise away from the stressful urban jungle known as Los Angeles. On the other hand, I kinda like how this is sequestered away, with no blaring obvious signs that would pull vehicles speeding 65+mph off Telegraph Road, like some sort of exclusive club but without the BS guest list, second hand smoke and rude as hell bouncers. And don’t worry, nothing is exclusive about Green Oasis — the chickens run free, the dogs run free, and hell, you get to run free and be one with nature. You, your significant other, your bestie and your mama(all of who I have brought here — uh, just to be clear, my man, bestie and mama, not yours) get to connect with your food in ways that are virtually impossible in a city environment. I’m talking about picking your own oranges, lemons and avocados right off the tree(and sampling it right there if you are so inclined), digging up your own green onions and herbs, and conquering your fears as you pick that freshly laid egg from the surprisingly friendly chicken who’s chill AF as you reach right under her to retrieve what I promise you is buttery 24K liquid gold encased in pretty speckled shells. And after you’re done with if Kessa is free(remember, she’s a busy business woman who has deliveries to make and pickups to meet) and you ask her real nicely, she’s more than happy to give you a bucket of oats or some fruits and veggies that grow right on the farm to feed the animals. On the last trip, I even bottle fed baby goats., and I can honestly say it beat out any bottle feeding experience I had with baby humans in terms of cuteness by MILES. Ok that’s nice Cat, but how much does this all cost? Welp, the time that I went, oranges were $ 0.55/lb and the eggs were $ 7/dozen…which means you get to entertain yourself, your kids and pretty much anyone you know who loves animals for at least a couple of hours, and you get to take home fresh produce and eggs for very likely under $ 20. Unless, of course you’re like me and you shove extra money in Kessa’s pocket when she’s not looking because you want her to KEEPGOING with this truly family-run farm!!! So uh, yeah I’ll be back… probably soon… and you should come with me!

Stopped by with a few friends after seeing their add on craigslist. We went to pick our own tomatoes but ended up with a great experience. We were welcomed to explore their little farm by the incredibly friendly and knowledgeable staff .They have goats, turkeys, pecocks, horses, a donkey, chickens, geese and probably more! The Green Oasis would be a great experience for kids and adults alike. It was amazing to be able to see where your food is grown and even more amazing to taste it when we got home. Support local and organic food and visit The Green Oasis!

We came here on a late Saturday afternoon to buy chicken feed and we had a blast. The owner, Kessa, is super sweet and knowledgeable. She gave us a grand tour of the farm and we got to feed the goats, chickens, and horses. We left with chicken feed, freshly picked heirloom tomatoes, fresh eggs, and one adorable baby chick! OH and our kids loved it there! We will definitely be back and can’t wait to show the farm to our friends and family.

After passing by a ton of orange orchards I was relieved to see the green oasis signs — fruit for sale! This is such a cute place they have. They gave me the grand tour, taking me to see the goats, chickens, and herb garden. They have fresh eggs here, huge bags of oranges(cheap, $ 5 or you can pick your own), herbs, and naustertiums… she was even kind enough to give me some seeds to grow my own. So sweet! Definitely a must-stop — great for kids too.

I can’t sleep. I must write this review. Cause, you see, I just went to pick my own grapefruit and cucumbers, but never did I expect an EXPERIENCE! Feeding goats, Petting horses, Fetching my own green, blue, brown chicken eggs Have you heard of lemon basil?! Loads here. Cactus fruit. Bought that, too. And I got it all for $ 10. So much to see. They have everything here. Owner Kessa is as sweet as pie. Did I deserve this?
