READBEFOREYOUGO!!! Okay so when I entered I asked what type of music they play, and all three lazy girls behind the counter said hip hop and house music. After we paid 30 bucks for party of 2 we found out thy do NOT play hip hop just house music or whatever the older Asian(I think) dj wanted to play. We requested several different songs that were current to today’s hip hop and got denied every single one. None of which had crazy profanity or anything yet dj would not play anything we requested. What makes it worse was we were the only ppl inside the club at that time! The staff was not pleasant, especially the female staff, acted as if they had something better to do, yet sadly I’m sure they had to be there to support themselves. Do not waist your time here. Find another place.

This place is what it is. The closest thing to an LA night club in Philly. It stays open pretty late. The DJ’s are great. The Bartenders are kind of useless but eventually they get to you. Anyone who comes here and complains about guys trying to pick up women is an idiot. This is THAT bar. It even looks like THAT bar — where you meet THAT guy and his whole entourage of alpha males. Most of the men who frequent this place read Tucker Max books and bump Wiz Khalifa music. If you don’t want to get hit on, don’t go. If you do go and don’t want to get hit on, just hang out in the parking lot with the door guys, they are the only gentlemen in a 1 mile radius. Everyone else is either an entitled hipster, an entitled gym rat, or an entitled thug. Other than that, expect a flood of people after 2am. Prior to that, this place is empty and depressing.

You want to make sure you’re dressed to come here, they are very strict on attire. Even if you offered to pay the door man a couple extra dollars to get in, it won’t work. Drinks are good, a little pricier than other places but I don’t mind it, you might as well buy a bottle if you’re planning to drink a lot. Also– they are open later than most clubs so if you aren’t done partying at 2am in Philly, you can always stop by here.

This place is Hell on Earth. If you’re looking for an after hours place to absolutely ruin your fun evening in Northern Liberties, this is the spot to do it.

Not a fan at all other than they are open late. I’d rather just bring a bunch of friends over and blare music in my apartment. Because it’s a late night club, basically a majority of the guys seem sleezy and trying to take someone home. You’re allowed to smoke inside(didn’t even know this is legal) which I HATE with a passion. The place is really spacious, upstairs, various rooms, etc with some nice lighting and ambience. Music is pretty decent with a mix of house and hip hop. The place is usually empty though. I’ve come early like at midnight, DEFINITELY empty and stayed until 3−4am and it gets busy but not really. Drinks are ridic $ 10 for well drinks. You have to go through security to get in. like what. There’s a cover. Like get over yourself Zee Bar. And of course, it’s off the beaten path.

Door men are great. Obviously doesn’t like to let assholes in so at least they keep the party classy. Occasional drunk makes a scene but you gotta consider the fact that it’s after hours so people are showing up with a few drinks in them. They handle it well. Can’t ask for much more. Good music. Good bartenders. Good drinks.

Bouncers«got confused» and kicked me out. They got the wrong person. They pinched the back of my arm so hard they broke skin and bruised. Never been so insulted/abused by an establishment. This place is a joke with overpriced drinks and power hungry bouncers. Will never go back.

One of the worst bar I have ever seen. They charge $ 20 cover charge but the bar used to be empty even on weekends. Its just waste of money.

Second time here, first time with bottle service. The bottle service girls are very accommodating but I definitely don’t think it’s worth the price. Music was consistently good house tunes, easily danceable. You walk out smelling like an ashtray because it’s inside smoking. Even though they’re an «after hours» bar, I felt like just went I started having fun, it was time to leave. Bummer. Also the $ 20 cover you have to pay is pretty lame.

Finally went inside this place. I almost never pay more than $ 5 bucks to get in a place. I’ll pay $ 10 dollars if the place is proven and theres re-entry but $ 20 bucks is generally a no go for me. My thing is i spend too much at the bar to be paying these high cover charges. In any case it was close to 2am and to be honest i was curious what the place was like so me and my friends decided to give it a try. Of course we basically have to plead and beg to get in. So we get in only to find the place is practically empty. I paid 20 bucks so I’m gonna stick it out a while. Now i will admit the z bar is nice but so is stratus on chestnut st and they have no cover and its on a roof top. Soon as the place starts to liven up lights come on and its time to go. The drinks are kinda expensive but they come in a decent size glass so i wasn’t mad. I have no problem with the place itself or the staff. I do have an issue with paying 20 bucks but apparently I’m a member now so its only gonna be $ 10 on my next visit. Points for having free parking lot and multiple bars inside.

Nice place but drinks are pricey! They also add tip in with your tab so be careful! Both my boyfriend and I spent well over $ 100 because we did not realize the gratuity being added in. Won’t be going back to this bar again. I mean really! What bar adds gratuity on a tab for one person! Misleading and not worth the money to drink there.

As far as after hours bars go, is there really anywhere else to go? After 1am, you can pretty much find every group and type of crowd you can imagine. It’s like the big melting pot of the city, as if every bar across town opened up it’s doors and shuffled over their clientele to the line out front. Brian(well dressed guy at the front door EVERY night they’re open) is always friendly and accommodating. Once inside you’ve got lots of different areas to meet up with friends. There’s a VIP/lounge area in the main room with sunken in sofas for bottle service and really cool metal bead curtains partially separating the area. The center aisle here turns into an inprompto dance floor by 2:30am, while a few more private partial rooms on the side end up with patrons dancing on the tables inside. Upstairs is a more quiet bar area with a fireplace and low seating, perfect for getting the know the person you just met at the last bar you came from. The main back bar is a little quieter and the natural meeting point, as this is the main area outside of the bathroom hallway. On busy nights, there’s a separate back room with special guest DJ’s and a pretty large dance floor. The music here is consistently good, the staff friendly, and a few times a year they stay open till 6am. If there’s a special event somewhere in the city, odds are there’s an after party here. On regular nights, there’s a consistent sized crowd to socialize with and plenty of cabs and parking right outside.

The worst place in Philadelphia to attend. The door douche(Shane) won’t let you in unless your a douche yourself. He even denied people in front of us to come in even though they were willing to spend money for a bottle and his reply was no. Don’t understand how a place like this can even stay open being that they discriminate and profile there patrons. I warn anybody that even thinks of going to this establishment to keep their money and spend it elsewhere.

I came here on NYE with a group of friends. It was 2am and we didn’t want the night to end so we headed over to Zee Bar because it’s an after hours bar. There is an interesting mix of people at the bar, definitely a great place for people watching. Also a lot of shady people. The music was good, drinks were pricey. There are tables upstairs reserved for bottle service(really, Zee Bar?). Even though 80% of the tables were empty I was told I was not allowed to sit there. Luckily there were a few comfy couches available that were not part of the VIP area so I was able to rest my tired feet. I wasn’t really feeling the mix of people so after that visit I vowed I would never go here again. Well, as luck would have it we ended up at the Zee Bar yet another night and impressions are still the same. Cover was $ 20(ugh, I can’t believe I paid that much) but with my last visit I received a member’s card which means next time I go I will receive reduced admission. I don’t know if I will actually use that card, but you never know…

I’m in the service industry so being that the majority of the nights that most people go out I’m working, except for wed nights which I like to spend at Zee. It’s a great mix of industry and regular old party people with a few strippers sprinkled on top. It’s actually a great move building an after hours spot next to a strip club that closes at 2am. As soon as Zee opens its doors they have a legion of beautiful girls walking over from next door. Brian is truly on of the best hosts in the city. There’s not many places in the city that a manager can control as much as he can and always remain calm. He brings VIPs in from outside, checks with the tables, handles security and visits everyone in the room almost simultaneously. He really is the face of philly hospitality… Make sure you get their early or you’ll have to wait in a huge line and then you’ll be pissed and take your frustrations out on Unilocal.1:15 should be perfect!

I only came here cuz my buddy was a dj for a charity event. I had more fun laughing at the bum on the subway yelling at his reflection. The only positive is the drinks were strong. Oh wait… I know why they were… so you forget you are at Zee bar. Should have gone to the strip joint next door.

Really nice place… if you want to be gang raped. This is the worst«night club» i’ve ever seen. Everyone that works there is a total asshole and as we were leaving the cops were talking about all the sexual assaults that happen there. Wouldn’t go back if I was paid to. DONOTGOHERE!!!

The bouncer at the front door was very polite, however the ladies at the check-in table were a different story. I’m sorry, girlfriend, but you have no reason to act all high and mighty behind that counter. I simply asked, «How are you doing tonight?» I didn’t need you to throw a bag of attitude. My $ 20 cover charge will be supplying you with dinner this week, so you should at least show some fake courtesy instead of barking at me for my iD. I’m not your little biotch… Hey, just sayin’. Randomness: What’s up with the metal detectors? Why do I need to check my coat? I don’t have a shank in there… Who charges for tap water! Ridiculous. $ 40 minimum bar tab Music was meh. I’ve heard better house/trance mixes Crowd was odd. Everyone looked as if they were going through a mid life crisis :( This place is whack, as in whackmaster 3000-whack. I should have walked over to Delilahs instead. Damnit.
