Channi is awesome. I like this one much better than the others in Philly. She nurtures your shape takes her time in every customer.

First off, they easily accommodate a person in a wheelchair. So accessibility is part of my rating. The other part is all about the outcome. I had a thread and tint. Very affordable but also — went in with a mess came out with really great brows. I don’t know why all of us relegate ourselves to self tweezing. Of all the processes available, threading is by far the best, yes you get a little redness, but it disappears within an hour. So much better than wax, especially if you ever experienced overly heated wax. So the result– great shape and color, fast service and wheelchair or mobility scooter accessible.

Walk-in on a Sunday with brows I have been mishaping myself for months. The woman working there corrected the shape, showed me where it needs to grow in. Amazing shape, quick service, cheap price.

I’m so glad I came back! I had frequently visited the Zara that used to be in The Gallery since it was right next to my work. When they closed, I kind of went back to do doing my own brows(read: not doing my own brows and growing my bangs long enough to cover them). Finally, after ohhhhh 8 months, I couldn’t stand it any longer and headed to Walnut Street. Full disclosure: I went to Aisha’s first, but as usual there was a million people waiting. Ain’t nobody got time for that. A quick google led me here and YAY! No line, I was in and out in 20 minutes, the lady who did it was honest about what I needed to have threaded or not, it was $ 10, there’s a Unilocal deal for $ 6, it was all positive. I have scars on one brow that messes everything up and she made it match the other eyebrow amazingly well. That takes skill, my friend. So yeah, it’s not luxurious or anything, but skill is skill and for $ 10, it’s amazing. High five, Zara!

I went to the one on 12th street I feel the henna is a little pricey for the options they give you, and it didn’t look to good after it dried. To add to that I got my henna on Wednesday it’s Saturday an it’s already gone.

Went here today to get my eyebrows done. There wasn’t anyone else there(it was a Friday morning), so they were able to help me right away. The person who was threading for me was quiet and didn’t say anything, so people who like to get their eyebrows done in a specific way should speak up right away. I’m not one of those people so I just let her do her thing. I was out of there in 10 minutes, nice clean brows. $ 8 with a student ID, $ 10 without which is completely reasonable.

A bit of a hike from the Quad for UPenn students like myself, but definitely worth the lengthy walk(it’s right off the Schuylkill trail too, so the walk is pretty scenic and doesn’t feel too long). I was looking for a new place to come to get my eyebrows threaded and I’m definitely going to be coming back in a few weeks. Got mine done by a woman named Khuki(hope I spelled that right). It took five minutes, she followed all of my directions, and my eyebrows came out looking great. At $ 8 with a student discount, I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to find a new place to get threaded.

I went in on a Sunday for a haircut. There was only one woman working there, and I got the sense that haircuts are not her specialty. She basically just gave me a trim — didn’t even ask me what I wanted, just confirmed how much length she was going to cut off and started cutting. No shampoo, just moistened my hair with a spray bottle. She didn’t do anything bad, but $ 25+tip for a trim that a friend probably could have done for me is a bit steep, especially when I was hoping for a real haircut. The salon is cute and clean, and their other services may be better, but I probably wouldn’t go back for a haircut.

Absolutely amazing experience every time I’ve visited this location. kukai(cookie) is amazing as well as the rest of the staff. I’ve had three different people thread my eyebrows and every time I have been amazed by the results. Absolute must if you are meticulous about your eyebrows!!!
