The place is a little small, and very urban. I had a pleasant visit thanks to Elliott. He was helpful, informative, well spoken which is a plus. I made a purchase and will return thanks to him!

Today was our 33rd anniversary and I had promised my wife a diamond anniversary ring, Unclaimed Diamonds was our 1st stop because I remembered their ads with Daryl Dawkins, we were met by Elliot and he was very sincere and took the time to explain the ring to us as well as did ¼ sizing(unheard of now-a-days, usually only ½ sizes are available) Needless to say the ring was far superior to others offered in the area and Elliot was willing to deal and we left as friends and we tend to support our friends. You should make them your friends too.

Elliot is the best! My boyfriend and I recently came in for a gold monogram necklace. Unclaimed Diamonds was our first top at Jewelers Row, and Elliot made a lasting impression on me. At each store we stopped after Unclaimed Diamonds, the jewelers sold the same necklace that that Elliot showed me. They all used the same exact catalog and ordered from the same vendor. However, each jeweler asked for about $ 200 to $ 300 more than Elliot. In addition to the reasonable price that Elliot offered, the main reason why we chose to go back and give Unclaimed Diamonds our business was because Elliot was genuine. He was knowledgeable and he wasn’t fake. He was sincerely interested in providing me with the best product he could. After endless questions, Elliot promised to get back to us with all answers after the weekend. As promised, Elliot called Monday morning and my boyfriend put a down payment on the necklace. When the necklace arrived a short week later, Elliot was genuinely distressed that the gold monogram was a little bit thinner than we had expected. In response, Elliot dropped the price! He did not try to scam us or convince us that this is what we should have expected. He was so sincere. And whats more, the necklace is absolutely gorgeous. Even the chain is beautiful. I don’t mind that it’s thin. Elliot even promised that if anything should happen to it, I can take it in for fixing. None of the other jewelers that we encountered on The Row were as genuine and knowledgeable as Elliot. I trusted him, and I am a VERY skeptical person. It says a lot to his character and salesmanship. I was so pleased with the care and consideration that Elliot provided us(especially considering it was such a small purchase), I will 100% go back to Unclaimed Diamonds. Maybe if my boyfriend reads this he can work with Elliot to get me diamond earrings for Valentine’s Day…

I walked into the shop and Corey said, «What’s up Josh?» I hadn’t been there in 7 months. I walk in and get a personalized greeting? There are literally shops everywhere here. Most want you in and out. If they see you aren’t sure about buying, once that is made in their mind, they go about their business and tell you, «let me know if you need anything.» Corey in my few trips here has outshined every employee on this«row of jewelers.» As someone who lives in the burbs but comes to the city fairly often, customer service in the city is secondary to curb appeal. Look who we are takes precedent to how can we help you. Here, this is not the case. I had someone I’d only met 3 times ask how my wife was, how everything was going in general… If you own a shop in the city and your staff is sub-par, send them here. Let them shadow Corey for a week. See the finished product. Praise aside, UCD should be your first and only stop down jewelers row.

I set out on a bright weekday afternoon recently to sell my 14K diamond wedding band due to a divorce. I was told by jewelers that the best place to do this would be Jeweler’s Row. While I now live out of state, I had been a suburban Philly resident for over 15 years, but had never gone to Jeweler’s Row before — what an experience. Shops everywhere, locked gates, buzzer systems, some shops busy, some not. My ring retailed for $ 2,100, which I knew I was not going to get, and was fine with under a thousand. However, the highest offer was $ 500.00(but I had to commit to it right then), and the lowest was $ 30 for the diamonds and $ 30 for the gold(really???) I was just about to give up when I turned the corner and found Unclaimed Diamonds. Out of all of the shops in Jeweler’s Row they were actually crowded and doing business while the others were empty. One of the ladies asked if she could help, and I told her I wanted to sell the ring for $ 800.00. She took it to a young man(and I never caught his name, but he looked a bit like Nick Cannon), came back, and asked if I could wait. The gentleman came over and fully inspected the ring while I gave him my «sob» story as to why I had to get rid of the ring. He asked what the highest offer was that I had and said he couldn’t meet it. We continued to talk for awhile — very nice guy — and a salesman, but hey… that’s what he’s there to do. I finally asked him if we could do a trade, that it wasn’t about the money, it was about getting rid of the ring. He was open to the idea and we began to look around in the cases. Long story short, I found a ring I liked, and we were able to make a no cash trade deal. Now…he got the better of the deal and we both knew it, and we even discussed that my ring was 1 ct. total weight in diamonds and 14 K gold. The ring I ended up with was 10K gold and only .52 ct. total weight in diamonds, but that’s okay! He was retailing his ring at $ 1,000, which in the end, I made out because while I didn’t have as pricey a ring as I had traded, I had a very beautiful ring(and I’m getting a lot of compliments), no cash involved, and I made out better than selling it for $ 500.00. No one was high pressure, no one was rude, and the atmosphere(while busy and cramped from people) was nice in that everyone was smiling and having a good time buying jewelry. I didn’t find that at the other stores on Jeweler’s Row. I would most definitely return to this shop when I come back to Philly. They treated me very nice, and didn’t try to hide or lie about something(I picked up one ring and he immediately said that it was a zircon). Don’t hesitate to use this establishment. However, and this holds true with EVERY jeweler you visit — know the lingo before you go. Look up and familiarize yourself with the different grades of diamonds. Know the difference between gold values. And, don’t hesitate to ask to see the diamonds with a jeweler’s loop. While you may not be an expert to assess diamond quality, it’s not hard to spot shattered gems or occlusions with the untrained eye. Thank you Unclaimed Diamonds for your help — I now have a ring I can proudly wear that has nothing to do with my former marriage!

This place is the worst. I bought what was suppose to be a 14K gold ring here last November — turns out it is only 10K and they refused to refund my money because it was beyond my 2 week return period. I should sue them in small claims court but they are so small who even has the time. Elliot is such a liar and scammer he won’t even look you in the eye. He will schmooze you until you pay then if you have a problem he basically just hides behind his little desk — like his manhood. You are better off going anywhere else on jewlers row.

I’ve been coming here over the years for special occasion jewelry and have never struck out with the Mrs. What sets this place apart is the quality customer service. They sell all types of jewelry that has not been picked up from layaway from prior customers. However, like today, they were able to order a bracelet I wanted(specifics given by the wife) when it was not in their display cases. Nice price, gave a small discount for being a regular(and a nice guy :)), and even a $ 20 Unilocal check-in discount! Thanks to all the staff @ Unclaimed Diamonds, especially Robin, for your assistance over the years! I highly recommend that you buy your jewelry @ Unclaimed Diamonds!

I have to agree with the previous post, jewelers row is like a jungle. It can be very intimidating. My(now) husband and I were looking for a classic solitaire engagement ring at a reasonable price. We went to a few places but I had heard the advertisements for Unclaimded Diamonds on the radio so we stopped in. Matthew was extremely helpful and we negotiated for a good hour or two. We told him that we wanted to walk around to see if we could find something comparable. I remember our last stop being Steven Singer. The salesman laughed at us when we told him what we wanted and the price range. I remember him telling us we would never find a ring at that price. So needless to say we went back to UD to make our purchase… that was 6 years ago. I am ready to upgrade my platinum solitaire and I will definitely return to UD. I have recommended several people to this place– not only for their prices and selections but for their imppecable customer service! Everyone is very helpful… word to the wise, don’t go on the weekend. Go during the week as the place is cozy and it gets crowded!

For me, jewelers row is like traveling through the jungle. An amazing place, but with pitfalls, traps and tribes that hunt for your wallet. I hate being sold and I don’t like the fake customer service pitch thing either. After being in pretty much every store on the strip(and I mean every store), I decided to stop in at Unclaimed. The experience from the outset was totally unexpected, in a good way. No heavy sales, no schmooze, just a straight forward and honest look at a custom job I was interested in. In the end, I ended up going with Unclaimed, based on their ability to «keep it real», pricing and because they were willing to work with me, to ensure I got what I needed. I did have a few problems with the setting and got really worried, but after a call from the Matt the owner, I was assured that everything would be taken care of. Sure enough, the settings were re-cast and ready a day later. All is well. Not a spot I would have assumed could deal with a custom job, but then again, I didn’t think I would have such a great experience overall. Stop in and give them a chance, after all you can never judge a book by the cover. Many thanks to Sue, Matt and Eliot!
