The Stagecrafters is an 87 year-​old theatre company based in the Chestnut Hill neighborhood of Philadelphia. It performs in an historic building … parts of which date back to the 1700’s. Each season they present five plays. I’ve been here several times in my life as a couple people from my Philadelphia family have been members. Some plays I have found performed well, some plays not. But the play I just saw in the winter of 2016 — «The Late Christopher Bean» — is one of the theatre pieces they have staged excellently and it is def a classic and very funny show. Stagecrafters is a theatre worth checking out.
