Located at the corner of Richmond and Allegheny, The Cove should be just a neighborhood titty bar but I guess they have higher aspirations. More strip club-​y than Pennsport Pub, more neighborhood-​y than Club Risqué if you are familiar with this type of establishment in Philadelphia. One big rectangular bar dominates the space. The elevated stage is located far behind the bar. Two poles but really only enough space for one dancer. A few low tables are located toward the back, near the «Private Dance» area which is a small, curtained off area with a mirrored wall and one (surprisingly comfortable, I have to say) chair. The privacy was unexpected.
The ladies were about ⁵⁰⁄₅₀ black and white and mostly pretty cute. Right around the 7 – 8 range with only one bringing the mean down. Definitely better than you might expect from just seeing the outside and location. The dollar parade isn’t too heavy. Most girls come buy for just the one. I didn’t stay for long but had an ok time. I might even make a return visit even though the couch dance is over the Philly standard $ 20.
