If you love your fish you will stay far away from this butcher. My wife called Jude Neman to clean our aquarium as a gift to me… it had gotten a bit dirty, but our chemical levels were all on point and the fish were happy and healthy. Please excuse me, I am finding it hard to control the profanity this arse richly deserves slung his way. Neman changed 80% of the water in one shot… which if you have even something approaching a brain and know ANYTHING about fish, you know is beyond idiotic and guaranteed to kill the ecosystem. Neman incompetently slaughtered about 12 adult African Cichlids. Retail value? About $ 700. Emotional damage? Priceless.
My wife called me at the office after Neman’s barbrism screaming and crying that all of our fish were dying. I came home to find 5 dead. Over the next four days I had the great pleasure of watching 7 more die slowly thanks to Mr. Neman’s gross negligence and stupidity. I have spent the last three years being happy and not yelling at anyone… I hadn’t gotten truly upset in quite a while. I wanted to tear this nitwit’s approximation of a brain from his head and stomp on it to protect future fish and our gene pool. I honestly look back and wish I had. It’s been about 8 – 9 months since he killed our pets and I still feel violated by his buffoonery.
I called Jude when I got home, FURIOUS, and he explained to me that he’d added biologics to protect the fish and our tank was dirty and needed the 80% water change. I’m so glad he did… he certainly cleaned it of all the fish at any rate. The biologics he used do not mean you can change 80% of the water, regardless of what they advertise, as evidenced by him killing all of our fish. According to other aquarium experts I spoke with, they are a marketing thing. He refused to take responsibility for his ineptitude for a few days until I had an attorney call. As I said, I was angry. I was talked out of litigation… and we settled. he was supposed to pay us about half the value of our pets… he never did. I was so furious that I found it hard to think about him without feeling homicidal and for my own sanity, I dropped it. It’s been 9 months and I finally got over it enough to buy some new fish today. This incompetent, idiotic, arrogant butcher violated my home and my pets and single handed managed to kill my love of fish.
I can not emphasize enough how awful this person is. He’s so utterly incompetent and idiotic that he’s not aware of what a negligent boob he is. Unless you want to eat them, keep this lout away from your home and your pets.
