What a cute store where you can buy candies, soda pop and toys! Walking in your greeted by the owner who runs the place, huge plus in my eyes, who is knowledgeable about the candies in his shop. Yup, a candiologist. As someone who went a got a tooth filling literally yesterday, I just opted for the diet root beer and Rittle hazelnut chocolate which I remember to be delicious buying it from an airport. Come in and see a wall of fame of soda pop as well as a table long assortment of flavored taffy. And don’t forget to brush!

Cool novelty shop w/a tons of flavors and brands of soda that will be difficult to find elsewhere. There’s also a lot of small brands and old-time favorites type of candy and retro comic themed vibes too.

Rocket Fizz is just a blast(no pun intended). This is a chain of shops offering funky soda and candy. You can find the classics like vintage rootbeer and orange soda to newer oddities like lemon meringue pie soda(really good). After the oddities are the crazy sodas. Think Ranch Dressing soda or corn on the cob soda. I bought several as stocking stuffer gag gifts. Rocket Fizz also offers a lot of retro candy and bulk saltwater taffy. This is a fun place to shop.

I took my 4 year old son here, while we were exploring old city. It’s really cute, and they have a huge variety. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. There is a good range of unusual items like candy made with ants and flavored crickets, as well as the usual sweet treats. I’m planning on making this a destination for when I’m in the area with my kids.

Rocket Fizz is a chain candy store new to Philadelphia. They have a wide selection of gum and candies, the latter being heavy on the overly sweet stuff that you liked when you were a kid. Rocket Fizz also has a large selection of unique sodas and a lot of varieties of root beer. They have one or two diet varieties and some seltzers too. Also present is a decent bull candy section, a wide range of mix and match salt water taffy(no peanut butter?) and a few old style candy bars(think Abbazabba) and se regional ones like Goo Goo clusters from Nashville and chocolate macadamia candies from Hawaii. No foreign candies here so if you’re looking to satisfy that Malteasers fix you will need to look elsewhere. I do wish they had more of a better selection of the old stuff. All in all Rocket Fizz is decent enough. Of course if you’re under 10 years old or have a thing for gourmet sodas, better head on over.
