Another place that COULD be better if they used better bread. Same standard Amoroso style rolls that get soggy easily. Other then this it is a decent place to stop for breakfast, brunch, or lunch. They have a beer refrigerator with a good selections of six packs, most priced around $ 11. I actually had the veggie hoagie as the other reviewer did and the fillings are very good. I ordered my friend their roasted turkey and swiss on wheat and he really enjoyed that. My brother who eats like it is a contest noshed his way through a cheesesteak hoagie and halfway into an italian hoagie which both romaine lettuce instead of iceberg.

You’ve probably driven past Riverview Deli if you live in South Philly or commute on Delaware Ave/Columbus Blvd. I have, I’ve noticed it but never really paid attention to it other than a passing shop. My friend suggested going here for lunch on a Saturday morning. It’s weird because it really is a deli and they sell some beer in one half of it and the other half is the seating area. It’s super low key and kind of quiet. I ordered a veggie grinder, they had the standard vegetarian diner offerings(eggs and grilled cheese). The veggie grinder was one of the best I’ve had, I’m pretty sure they breaded and fried the eggplant per order. It also had sharp provolone, spinach, mushrooms, and roasted red peppers. It was a fair amount of food for a decent price. My friend ordered egg whites and ham slices, I just don’t think she was into eating that day and hardly ate any. It was a nice spot to go to instead of trying to find parking near the Italian Market for lunch.
