This rite aid is pretty terrible. Always a line, always out of what I need, never a good experience. There is a newly refurbished rite aid on 20th and Hamilton so I just go there now for everything I need.

Where do I begin with this place? The workers are extremely rude. On more than one occasion I’ve been given an attitude for no reason other than asking for help with an item. There’s always only one line for check out. Any day or time. The wait is always long. Don’t expect to get in and get out quickly. The only thing this place has going for itself is that it’s open late– much later than CVS down the street. I’d avoid this place if you can.

It’s a Rite Aid so they’ll have a bevy of items that are slightly higher priced than if you were to go to a larger grocery store or shop online. Still, it’s a neighborhood store and the place to go if you need to get something on the fly. There could be more cashiers, but the ones I’ve encountered are friendly enough and professional.

This place was my secret place to get eggs and milk every week, but lately the milk has been expiring way before the sell by date. At first I thought it was weird to get milk and eggs here, but Fairmount really lacks a good regular food store and it was good while it lasted. They have a ton of different Essie nail polishes, which is unexpected because this place looks outdated from the outside. The lines are long because everyone is trying to get out their wellness cards, which don’t have great rewards compared to CVS their card. Recently they have stepped it up by having more than one cashier working at once, but the manager still just stands their and watches the lines get longer. They cashiers aren’t slow and are great at their jobs, but they need more people working there. Also they need to restock their Gatorade after Friday and Saturday night. Some hangover monster keeps taking them, so plan ahead!

I don’t have a strong opinion about the store itself, but the pharmacy is amazing. They are always super nice, efficient, and George gives shots that don’t hurt at all. There is also a parking lot. My biggest gripe with the place is the same beggar is always outside and he’s extremely annoying.

This Rite Aid is close to where Fairmount Ave gets a little hood. And it shows, both inside and outside the store. Good prices, but CVS wins on every other point.

Thank you Rite Aid for always having cherry flavored Pedialyte and thus providing me with the perfect beverage to accompany my slice of plain from Fairmount Pizza whenever I’m hungover.

I go here out of necessity for items I need in a hurry. LIke many Rite Aid’s in the city the service is horrible(breaks and talking with co-workers highly outweighs cashing anyone out). On another note… if you need meds go to CVS up the street. CVS is quicker and more friendly. I also see that Rite Aid has not learned that every other pharmacy has remodeled in the past few years.
