As a guy who loves the English language, I was appalled by the term«water ice». Sounds like a 1-year old… But when in Philly… Nevertheless, I tried Rita’s offering, and it was very tasty. I will definitely have another before I leave the area. yum. Can’t give 5 stars for this«snack», but 4 is a damn good rating.

The day I tried Rita’s it was 104 degrees and 90% humidity. It was as if the angels came down from heaven and spoon fed me the fluffiest, smoothest coconut flavored icey goodness I had ever tasted. For $ 5 I provided myself and 2 of my friends this experience. If its hot, this place is a MUST!

How could you not love a Rita’s?! I went to Rita’s last weekend: on Friday night on South Street, on Saturday in Atlantic City, and on Sunday in Center City! # NOJOKE. The flavors are always different, each day and at each store. The Gelati is a brilliant mix of water ice plus«custard».(The custard is not the rich and creamy stuff I think of when I hear«custard’. It’s more like frozen Cool Whip)… and the Blendinis are another brilliant creation of Rita’s! Funny Fact: Prices vary by store location; do not expect to ever pay the same amount for the same product. Overall — love this stuff. :)

The frozen custard is quite good. I am not a water ice eater — but I love the custard at Rita’s. News flash their«Gelatti» is NOT Gelatto. It is a bastardizion combo of water ice and custard. Whatever. It tastes good. This branch may have closed(in Suburban Station). Nope. Wait — it’s open. But not the greatest run place. the line moves very slowly.
