My SO brought in a pair of pants for hemming and the quote was for $ 20. I’ve used other alteration services in the city and I’m sorry but this is not the right price for simple hemming job.

Been going here for about a year now. They do have the best prices for men’s dress shirts that I’ve found in Phila. They are however not easy to deal with. In part because their English is very very poor. So instead of being able to have a conversation — you just get a big smile that basically says nothing. But hopes that you’ll go away. They insist on charging me to dry clean a linen shirt(which I have been laundering for 3 years) because they tell me their supplier will charge them. To which I replay that I guess not only is the customer not right here, but the customer of the customer is not right in this twisted chain of logic. That was a 15 min. conversation to get to that point of understanding. With no resolution except to balance the overcharge in my head w/the savings on everyday shirts. So, not a huge fan of this place. But the shirts are done well and the price is right.

Cheapest in center city, quality is fine, same day service, they do alterations well and they’re incredibly friendly. This is probably the best overall value if any type of business I frequent. Five star review all the way.

Cheapest in the area. Definitely mom and pop. I agree with the other reviewers here, great service, very friendly, and free delivery to the nearby area. Best deal compared to the three or four other drycleaners in a 4 – 5 block radius.

i have been using Riff Cleaners for a few years now. They are the only dry cleaner in the area that will deliver(free of charge)…I live close, but not close enough to do my dry cleaning without it being an ordeal. My clothes have always come back better than when I left… and not just cleaner… broken buttons will be replaced, zippers fixed, etc. There are possibly cheaper places to go, but I’ve never really been more satisfied with a cleaner. The only downside is, because it’s such a small operation, there’s no guarantee your phone call will be answered. Otherwise, they are nice, efficient, exceptionally friendly(my boyfriend describes Danny as «jolly»), and they deliver for free in the area.

I’m sure there are cheaper places to get clothes altered and dry cleaned but it would be a complete waste of my time. I have had several clothes altered here and I am always ecstatic with the outcome! They’re short one star for pricing(I assume its typical for center city) but I think they could drop the prices a tad bit. However, you can’t beat the high-quality service they provide. They definitely take care of your clothes! Like I said, I wouldn’t go anywhere else!

I have been going to Riff’s for a few months now, and I have never had a bad experience with them. It is definitely a Mom & Pop shop: you can tell the moment you walk inside. Prices are moderate(two shirts and slacks was $ 8.25), but their level of service is what sets them apart. I had to pay in advance, because I was taking advantage of their free delivery. I didn’t meet the $ 10 credit card minimum(most of the dry cleaners I have seen have a $ 15 minimum); instead of saying«sorry we can’t help you», they said they would get started and I could pay before delivery. I paid for them later that afternoon, and they recognized me immediately. On top of that, I asked for my items to be ready on Friday: they were delivered Thursday afternoon. 36 hour turnaround with no extra charge was beyond my expectations. There are a couple of dry cleaners in center city, but I cannot imagine using a different one. Now if only they would have a frequent-customer card…
