This place has a unfriendly vibe. The staff is not very welcoming at all. Their red eye costs more than most of the local coffee shops … 5 bucks? It’s more than their mocha latte which seems to make no sense since there is more espresso and more ingredients in a mocha … And more time to make it… And it is only 4.50. Also their coffee bar has only half and half as an option for milk and I was informed they do not have cinnamon. What kind of coffee shop doesn’t have cinnamon? On top of it, their red eye tasted awful and overly bitter. I will not be returning here.

Great local coffee roaster!!! Seriously one of my local favorites! Though I’ve only visited this location once, it is a great place to get some work done. It is spacious and the large windows give it a perfect amount of natural lighting. I do wish there were some more tables though! Despite that, please go and support their product. My personal favorite is their Ethiopia Sota. Such a clean finish to it :)

As someone who frequents coffee shops a ton, this is one of my favorite spots for the following reasons. 1. Delicious coffee 2. Large space, but not a ton of seating so it’s fairly quiet and good for working and spending an afternoon. This spot is lovely. The only drawback is the location for me, but I’m still willing to drive out here from Graduate Hospital so that’s saying something. Highly recommend!

Spacious, but not cold. Just as good as the original on Susquehanna. Staff alternates it seems. Comfy. Plenty of seating. Good vibes.

Same product as the original location, but with a much roomier building and more parking space. I love it. If I can choose, I go with Master Street first. I love the coffee, but sometimes it is a little too bright for my soft palate. Gotta grow up, I know.

Staff is amazingly friendly and very knowledgeable in coffee brews. The location and building is perfect. Just bought their cajamarca roast, can’t wait to try it. A must try if you love your coffee. Also, their pastries are super good. Great hang out, chill, I’ve got to get work done place. They were playing Whitney Houston so they won brownie points from me.

I’ve been back twice since my fiancé introduced me to this place… I’m adding another star from my previous review. So far I haven’t had a better Iced Decaf Americano from anywhere else… it took me 2 additonal trips to figure it out, but hey better late than never.

Best soy latte this side of the city. Friendly baristas, bright open industrial space. There’s a rumor that a bakery might be going in too; hope that pans out.

Amazing space with an open-air atmosphere, great espresso — and they roast it here, too. Couldn’t ask for a better coffee spot.

Amazing coffee and roaster! My wife and I visited here and I got a cap and she got a mocha. They tasted great! We also got a croissant cinnamon roll and it tasted amazing! A must-go if your in the city! The staff was super nice! Also pick up a bag of beans while you are there! You will not be sorry!

This is where the magic that is Reanimator Coffee happens. Beautiful warehouse-gone-business interior, minimalist décor, a solid spacey counter, and single origin OPTIONS. Whenever I swing into a Reanimator, the baristas are always super nice and helpful when talking different roast options. The biggest problem I have whenever I visit here is deciding on if I want espresso or coffee. Both are too good. This is my #2 rated espresso shop in North America.

I used to buy a bag of coffee here every week. A worker there worked with me to find the right grind. He was super nice and helpful and very specific — informing me exactly what grinder to ask for and what number to request. He even wrote the instructions down on the coffee bag for me. Considering how specific these instructions were, I asked the guy, «am I going to sound like an a**hole asking for it to be ground this way if you’re not here?». He assured me that it would indicate to the person working that I had been through this process of finding the proper grind; that it would make the counter person’s job easier. Well, fast forward six months of weekly coffee buying and I get the dude working who is appalled that I would ask for such a specific grind, be totally patronizing, role his eyes, and say«these machines vary from shop to shop and are calibrated differently». I was like, «I was instructed by someone here, in this shop, to request this specific grind». This seemed to piss him off more. My friend I was there with looked at me wide-eyed like«is this guy for real?». I was so embarrassed and pissed that I left and had my friend get the coffee from him when it was finished grinding. I can’t support such poor, mean service. I miss ReAnimator :(

Amazing coffee & great space. There is definitely not much else in the area but I doubt it will stay that way for long. Worth the trek to relax and enjoy. This is clearly their ‘main hub’ as the roaster is right in the back with the bags of beans all around. Pretty sweet! Great coffee. Great staff.

Maybe the most delicious plain latte I’ve ever had. Re animator opened up around here not long ago and I stumbled upon it recently. It’s got beautiful giant space inside work an renewed factory space look. Pretty near place. You can watch them roast beans right behind the counter. Also, they have a huge variety of super wild techniques they make coffee with. if you’re a super coffee snob, this place has a cup for you.

Keeping it simple, it’s a open space that serves coffee. The staff is courteous and the place is clean. Space to sit and chat: discuss life. For the most part it’s great coffee place. Better yet, a more laid back Starbucks.

I really really like this place! I’ve worked in coffee shops before and it made me an accidental coffee snob. I always liked ReAnimator Coffee, but going to Fishtown was sometimes out of the way, but this new facility is very close so we now go often. My positives about this place are: 1) excellent, high quality coffee that I consider on par with Stumptown; 2) gorgeous new facility; 3) great pastries; and 4) fantastic customer service. Having previously worked in the coffee industry I have zero patience for hipster attitude. Everyone who works here has always been so nice! They are helpful and patient and don’t give me dirty looks if I ask for soy or almond milk, or charge me extra for it. I know putting any milk in coffee is sacrilege for some, but whatever, I like it. Thanks ReAnimator! We’ll remain loyal. Edit: Nah, mega attitude. We’ll pass on Reanimator from now on. I am not a believer that the customer is always right, but I am not okay with patronizing attitude. Too bad, I’m all about supporting local. I’m a homeowner and coffee fanatic in this neighborhood, but I’ll find another place. One rude, bad apple really can spoil the bunch.

Due to recent review deletions by UnilocalHQ(accusing me essentially of submitting reviews which«lack a firsthand customer experience»), I find it necessary to add this preramble to all of my further reviews: I’ve A) actually been to this establishment B) bought something here C) clearly had a deeply personal and moving experience here So much so, in fact, that when I’m standing in this beautiful new space and close my eyes this is what I hear: Coffee is as excellent as I’ve come to expect from ReAnimator.

Wonderful location. I love the open space and the beautiful Probat roaster. Great interior. Service was great. Barista pulled the shots for my cappuccino a little fast, apologized for the wait(which wasn’t long), adjusted his grind and pulled another with better timing.(Coffee geeks will understand). Just goes to show that they care about serving the best espresso drinks possible. I love their coffee for pour over and straight espresso shots. I’m hoping they will develop another blend that compliments milk based espresso drinks a little more. I am excited for this new location, I hope it will be sucessful
