Picked up annuals and perennials today. The selection was great and the price was right. Two staff were in the garden center, dead-heading and watering the plants… hence their great shape, in even in late May. Both were really friendly and helped me with everything I needed. I’m definitely coming back for spring and fall planting. Cash and debit only. No credit cards.

This is a great place to get herbs, annuals & perennials cheap. Also, seasonal items and decorations in the fall are really reasonable and plentiful. Produce, as described in some other reviews, is caveat emptor. I would say keep both eyes open when you buy. It’s pretty cheap but I don’t think it moves too fast so it might hang around longer than the grocery store. This place is totally no frills. Staff is forgettable. Convenient parking. I do believe they accept Visa & Mastercard, so not just cash, as I saw in another review. There is an ATM available, though.

The people at this place and the owner are greedy and nasty. I bought plants that died a week later. I called and said i would like to exchange them for something else or get a refund. It was only $ 12.00. The owner refused to call me back and Noonie at the store said no. I went in person and brought the receipt and containers and they still refused to do anything. Customers’ satisfaction is meaningless to them. Shop anywhere else!

Spent $ 25 on a mini noble tree with stand. They had just unwrapped the tree, so it was hard to tell what it would look like. But they promised it would look great and the branches would fall. Got home and one side of the tree the branches never fell. The stand is cracked, so it leaked water completely all over my table. And it wasn’t put in the stand correctly so the tree doesn’t stand up straight. Horrible.

If I could give a negative star I would. This place is terrible. We purchased our tree and stand here. The first stand we purchased was too wide for the base, so we went back and purchased(with cash) the custom stand to accommodate the hole in the trunk. Of course the hole in the trunk wasn’t deep enough for the stand. So the next day, we went to return the custom stand with the receipt and they wouldn’t return it. Absolutely ridiculous. In addition, their customer service skills are nonexistent. Good to know this neighborhood store doesn’t care about making its customers and fellow neighbors happy. Needless to say the tree lost all it’s needles in one week and is currently on the curb 3 days BEFORE Christmas. We are so disappointed. I will NEVER go there again and suggest you don’t waste your time and money either.

I’m really sorry to have to ding this place completely for produce, but I need to be honest. Every time I’ve stopped here in the past several months for one or two produce items, the quality has been horrid. This morning I stopped in for potatoes and many of the bags were full of mold and several months ago I found the same with the grapes. This really is a shame because Roxborough could really use a good, quality produce store. About 90% of the time I need to go outside the neighborhood(the 10% is when I get produce at Shoprite).

This place gets 5 stars when they are stocked with flowers– orchids, Gerber daisies, a ton of perennials and buckets of fresh cut bouquets for half the price of a florist and a better selection than the three grocery stores within five minutes of this place. Of course there are slight markups around holidays like mother’s day but the prices are still right. I love to have fresh flowers around the house, especially when hosting guests, and this is a go to spot while running errands. Cash only but ATM on site in case you forget. Parking is next to Dunkin Donuts drive-through which makes for easy load into your car… and then you can get an iced coconut coffee on your way home. :)

Located right next to the Ivy Ridge shopping center on Ridge Ave, this little gem falls within a block of two big super stores(which also happen to be the cheapest supermarkets in this area), yet it still manages to be competitive with it’s pricing, often carrying fruits and vegetables for less than the big guys. Run by a friendly local family, this is a great spot to shop year round. R&R carries a variety of items including, but not limited to: fresh fruits, vegetables, dried fruit, misc. gardening supplies(dirt, manure, etc.), potted flowers/plants, and flower arrangements. The produce and such is found inside the store(or in front when the weather allows), while the flowers and gardening supplies are located in the adjacent outer area. All transactions are cash only, though they do take EBT cards, but there is an ATM inside if you are only rocking plastic. I do all my regular grocery shopping at the Shoprite down the street, but I always hit these guys up for the goodness they supply first.
