Great burger. No, really. Kinda want one right now just thinking about it. It’s not cooked to order, but both of the two patties were spot-on medium from edge to center, very juicy, and the flavor seriously rivals Good Dog’s. The thin-cut fries were also well-seasoned and crisp. The deviled eggs were good: topped with some sort of pickled something, which isn’t what I expect on a regular deviled egg, but was refreshing/interesting. I also grudgingly tried the octopus, which I usually find too rubbery to get past the texture to the flavor. This octopus wasn’t rubbery at all!, which allowed me to realize that I’m just not a huge octopus fan flavor-wise. The sauce with peppers and sausage that went with the octopus was great – great depth of flavor – could really taste the peppers, and the sausage, and the tomato base each separately and all together as layers!

Yay summer! Always love P&K but now they have a summer feature, Tiki drink happy hour! Fun Tiki glasses and a delish featured concoction of tropical fruits, rum, and can’t forget the umbrella! I typically come here for brunch… No one does it better! But gotta love the day drinking options as well… they make a mean Moscow Mule and have some fun summer drafts.

This is a solid place that offers solid food in a place where a group of people can convene casually. The fried chicken was solid, as was the lamb burger. I got the shakshuka, which had good bread, but was just solid, nothing special. This is a great place to hang out with a group of people but does not have food that supersedes that.

There is no other reason to come here other than to get the burger. Just ORDER it! It’s the best burger I’ve ever had. Two all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions on a ciabatta bun. It is, simply put, a Big Mac made by Philly’s center city hipster-wannabes and man oh man it is DABOMBBBB. It comes with shoestring fries too which are really crispy and salty. The ambiance is also very nice, outdoor seating is offered in the summer, drinks and the bar area are pleasant as well. Happy hour here is sweet but please do yourself a favor and get the burger. P&k don’t ever change the burger

Food is well prepared and tastes great. Service was ok but not great. That being said, it’s probably unfair to judge a place based upon its clientele? But it was hard to overlook. Mostly loud frat boys/sorority girls that really detracted from the experience.

I lived in this area for four years and never went here… then on my visit came by for happy hour with friends. While they have no food specials, the stuff we ordered was phenomenal. The cauliflower chickpea was delicious– best textured chickpeas I have ever had in my life; crisp roasted outside but tender inside. The octopus was delectable and the mussels that were in the dish were so briny and tender. Sweet pea hummus was just the right amount of light and sweet. Would go back in a heartbeat. Great service too!

Came here for my birthday dinner before a show and so glad we did. We sTarted out with the chicken wings and mussels. Both were juicy, tender and full of flavor. The white mussel broth was certainly dip essential with the crusty bread. Great portions for sharing. I had heard so much about the burgers I had to try. We all ordered burgers but I got the bacon egg and cheese burger. Two 1⁄3 lb parties with crispy bacon and a large sunny side up egg. The burger just melted in my mouth and surprising stayed very hot because I had to eat all my fries first and they were incredible. It was a fabulous meal and birthday worthy. Service was top notch. Great atmosphere.

So I just came out of pub and kitchen. I walked out after sitting at my table with my boyfriend for 20 minutes and NOONE came over to greet me or even fill up my water glass. Considering there was just ONE other couple in the whole entire bar on a Monday night, the only logical explanation is that they didn’t serve us because we were black. Pub and kitchen is a racist establishment and I would suggest that no one goes there. It is 2016 and we have to make a stand on closing down racist establishments in the Philadelphia area.

I love the atmosphere here! It’s a cute restaurant with unique menu items. We sat outside on a nice but slightly chilly day. The overhead heaters saved the day! They were subtle and kept us comfortable the whole evening. The beer list was not extensive, but had a good variety. For our meal, I had the cast iron octopus. It is served salad style on dandelion greens. The greens had a strong flavor, but it was balanced by the glaze. The octopus was terrific. The pickled mussels were a unique touch to the dish. My boyfriend had the P&K cheeseburger and he thoroughly loved it. I picked at his french fries that came with the burger, and the fries were delicious. He asked for bacon on the burger, but it arrived baconless. The server was very apologetic and explained that there were some recent changes in the kitchen and specifications of dishes aren’t being communicated to the kitchen staff.

While trying to impress a relative visiting Philly without breaking our budget, our group immediately thought of Pub and Kitchen. The décor is inviting, casual, and charming, illuminated by dangling lights in the bar area. And now for the real pull, the food. You know the burger is elite when you have a group of 5 order the same exact meal. Pictures do not do this flavor explosion justice; the melted cooper cheddar cheese is both creamy and tart. The bread is covered in garlic aioli that absorbs the burger drippings. Crisp lettuce, onions, and homemade pickles add to the overall texture of the burger. To stop it all off, it is served with a towering pile of thinly sliced French fries. Make sure you ask for mor aioli on the side for dipping, you will NOT regret this! We paired this truly visionary burger with a crisp Allagash draft, but they have many other pairing options if that isn’t your personal favorite. Regardless, from top to bottom, this was a meal that will be revisited.

Quality place every time I come. We were here just for drinks and appetizers this time around. Service was good and we ordered the calamari. It was one of the best I’ve had — very crispy, flavorful breading, and comes with a smokey dip. The calamari itself was soft and bog chewy! Other folks with us also said the wings and the burger was good.

Went here on recommendation for their selection of whiskey and beer. The recommendation was right on. We just dropped by for a late night drink, the beer selection was good, and the bartenders let us try a few beers before we settled. I ordered the El Scorpion which was incredible. Great late night place, gets a bit loud, but can handle crowds.

I walk by this place daily and I’ve been wanting to eat here for a long time. My friend had mentioned that this place had one of her favorite burgers so I had to check it out. It was DELICIOUS! It may be on the saltier side as others have mentioned but I have a salty palate so I didn’t really notice. Something about the beef patties with the cheese and pickles made for a really delicious combo. The fries that came with it was good too. service was good too

The waitress was lovely. My Moscow mule came strong. And the brussel sprouts with lamb bacon were tasty, if not just a big too oily and fatty. I had been hearing amazing things about the burger and though I wish there was a greater selection, the burger was pretty good, but not the best I’ve ever had. We also ordered the pulled pork sandwich, which in our opinion, was overwhelmed by overly crunchy bread. I love toasted bread as much as the next person, but not when it cuts your mouth and hurts to eat! Also, not a fan of the soggy fries. I like my fries extra crispy and these just didn’t cut it. I really wanted to like this place!

First order a beverage from the pub. Local beers and well made drinks set the mood for the burger you should have planned on eating. The kitchen serves up some good looking and tasting food. The highly spoken about burger lives up to the hype. Do the +bacon +egg, I shouldn’t have to tell you that. A nice place to bring any sort of crowd. It is truly equal parts pub + kitchen.

You know that place you’ve been wanting to visit for years but somehow just never make it there? Yep. That was Pub & Kitchen for me. I had always heard good things, it looked right up my alley as a craft beer lover, and I had it bookmarked for eons. As it happened, on one recent night, I wanted pie but they were closed for a class. A quick look at my Unilocal app reminded me that P&K was nearby, so we *had* to go. My friend and I sat at the bar and split a fantastic sour based on the bartender’s rec. We then both ordered burgers(mine without tomatoes, obviously). I think I’ll let the attached photo do the talking for that. All in all — great, welcoming environment… long bar. nice staff. Really nothing poor to say other than the food was kinda pricey. Burger with bacon was $ 16. Definitely not a deterrent though. I’ll be back at some point for sure!

Came here for Saturday brunch, and there was a decent crowd going. The décor and ambiance is definitely pub — with wood paneling everywhere and a long bar with ample seating/standing room. Service was friendly and relatively prompt. The brunch menu is actually relatively large in the number of options, though the dishes all do trend towards the heavy side. If you’re looking for some fruit or a standard light salad, you may need to look elsewhere. However, if you’re looking for a ginormous omelette or full breakfast plate, P&K is your place. There are a good amount of beverage options as well, so there’s something for everyone in your group to enjoy. I got the grilled gem lettuce salad, and it was well cooked with a good bit of bacon and cheese crumbles. Easy to eat and a just-right portion size. My friends ordered the omelette, which we thought had at least half a carton of eggs. It was huge. The full breakfast also looked great and filling. All around, everyone enjoyed their meals, and there wasn’t any pressure from staff to finish up with the check. All in all, P&K is a solid option for pub fare and drink, and this is a neighborhood spot that you’d want to just hang out with your friends in.

I stopped in here on a late Sunday night for a quiet 21st birthday celebration for one of my friends and was met with good service, good drinks, and good food. At first, I didn’t get a great impression from our server, who didn’t come off as super friendly(at least in the beginning). We told him one of us was turning 21, so we were going to get a drink after midnight, to which our server told us he couldn’t serve that person until right at midnight. Obviously, he was right, but he just said this in an almost aggressive tone, so we were sort of surprised. Turns out, our server came thru and served my friend her drink right at midnight! He even put it on the house, which was super nice of him. We got a few appetizers, which were all great. We had the chicken liver served over bread. Our server gave us 2 extra pieces to accommodate for the fact that there were more of us than there were pieces of bread normally included in the order. The Jersey Burrata was nicely flavored, and the Smoked Chicken Wings were tasty. Finally, our server threw in a free dessert, which consisted of a super soft, flan-like, sweet cheese which was DELICIOUS. Pub & Kitchen really stood out to me because of the amazing experience we had with the service(although we weren’t super enthusiastic to begin with). I liked the somewhat low-key atmosphere too!

Well what do you know? When biking to an undetermined brunch spot in Grad Hospital, we cruised around the corner of 19th and Lombard, peeped all the good eats and adorable twosomes at the outdoor tables and just had to stop. Nothing cuter than this place on a sunny Sunday afternoon. The coffee was strong, the menu was inventive, the service was steady and the tall bottle of water was much appreciated by two thirsty bikers. Please, if you go, do us one favor. GETTHATBLUEBERRYPANCAKE. It is a single pancake, cooked slowly and to a golden brown in a Dutch oven, so it’s thick and blueberry filled and dense but still cakey and crispy on the edges. And then it’s layered with a generous helping of both dulce de leche and key lime curd. I am telling you, it was a religious experience to eat this. Boyfriend split the pancake with me, and gave me half of his sausage, egg and bacon gravy biscuit, which was also quite delicious(but no blueberry pancake.) We ALSO split the whiskey sage bread with herbed butter, which arrived freshly baked(or at least fluffy on the inside, crusty on the outside and piping hot) and was perfection. Might be more a 4 person split than a 2. It’s a lot of bread. We had such a lovely meal here and will be back soon on another sunny breezy summer day!
